My husband and I stayed over this past Sunday and decided last minute to go to the comedy show, out of a dozen, not really sure how many comedians but 4 would be picked to go on and go up against other comedians the next time or somewhere else anyways lol I wasn't paying attention haha but they tallied up the votes and tte 4 I picked were really good! A friend of mine and I went there to in wind after a long day at work. The sports bar in the casino was packed so we wandered over here. When we got there we immediately noticed that the beers were overpriced and that the food was a little expensive. Our drink order was taken quickly, that it was all downhill from there. We noticed our server was busy with the other tables around us, barely acknowledged us. When we did finally get our order ,an appetizer sampler,there were a few items missing. No one ever bothered to walk over and check on us. We ordered two drinks and an appetizer platter, once the food was delivered then that appeared to be the end of our service. I'm not sure if I'm going to return, the place looks great the menu look good but between the service and the prices there are other places that I can spend my money. read more

We went last night. The hostesses were great. The mechanical bull, really cool. Unfortunately our male server was probably one of the worst servers we've ever had. I used to be a server so I'm not exaggerating. He would come take our order one person at a time and then run away before taking the others at the tables order. We got our drinks and apps all at different times because of this. It was obvious he was in a rush and perhaps couldn't handle taking on as many tables as he did. Aside from that the food was sub par and way overpriced. Our fried tomatoes app came with mostly small end pieces, my Cubano sandwich was really dry and didn't taste good, and the roadhouse burger wasn't anything special. We ordered the "giant margarita" for $50 we were told it was five margaritas but it was only a 24oz glass. Server didn't ask if we wanted salt or sugar on the rim. We also got charged the wrong price for captains daughter beer they said 9 on the menu and then came up as 11 on our bill. We didn't say anything bc at that point it had taken so long to get the bill we were ready to go home. Overall pretty disappointing and way over priced. I won't ever go there to eat again or recommend it. The $260 bill didn't match the service and items we received. I hope the bad reviews helps to make some improvements so someone doesn't have a poor experience like our table did! read more

We had a great dinner for our daughter's 21st birthday celebrations at Comix this past Saturday. The staff were accommodating at the Roadhouse and friendly and helpful and gave us the opportunity to set up a table the way we wanted. The service was great and the food was awesome. Beware of servers. We had terrible service and then was scammed by the waiter. Added gratuity to the bill but told us it wasnt included. Didnt give us a bill so we could check it, just handed us the electronic handheld device when we questioned it. hard to read. after thinking about it, contacted the restaurant who did say we should have receiced a printed bill and the tip was included. They refunded the second tip but never addressed the scam artist waiter. Will never return! read more

This is a hard review to write. Comics I'd give a 5. Food barely a 1. Service a 1 because I'm feeling generous. We got the couples package which gives you $30 to spend on food and drinks. DO NOT BOTHER GETTNG FOOD! I got a"romaine" salad (listed that way) with added chicken. First, the salad was served in a paper lined basket and you're given plastic silverware. The lettuce was clearly iceberg and the chicken was prepackaged garbage. My husband ordered sliders. He got 2 with some potato chips. The top buns were hard as rocks so he picked at the little bit of meat that was there. Our waitress was a moron. Brought us our food and checked back once, but checked back with others around us multiple times. I had only water but my husband was having beer and would of def ordered more if asked. Also she saw we both barely ate what we ordered and never bothered to ask if everything was ok. Clearly she has no idea what she's doing. Lucky for her the comedians were great so we, for some reason, gave her a 30% tip. After the show we went up to Geno's Pub and shared a couple of appetizers. That was 5 stars. read more

Saw one of the Thirsty Thursday comedy nights; a lot of fun! Lots of talented people but the door to the karaoke bar was kept open much of the time; the noise really competed with the audience's ability to really hear the comedians, and distracted from the experience. This was the debut for a lot of the performers. Please help to remedy this for future events. Thanks! read more

Went for Superbowl. Had VIP tickets. Was a good choice to do. Wrote a review then deleted it when management tried to use my review to promote their tap beer selection. I came back and really thought about this place and rereviewed it and deleted one star. I started with a drink, felt it was less strong than other locations at Mohegan. Changed to beer knowing better. By the time the first quarter was over we already had a waitress change. The second quarter right before the half, we had our second waitress change. Mind you, in between this change we were waitressless. 3rd quarter begins, appetizers later... We had our 3 and 4th waitress change. All citing "Hi, I'm your new waitress." We'll I would have liked more consistent table visits by ONE waitress. I should have saved the money for my party and just went to another one of MANY other locations inside of Mohegan. PS.. The restaurant itself was nice. People who work there was nice and friendly. That's why I gave two stars. 0 star now, got seated quickly, Wednesday night and it was not busy at all. A handful of tables. They had a comedy show at 8 but we didn't stay. By the time the waitress came over we already knew what we wanted to drink and eat. It was not a short wait. She took our order and put it in and was nice. We waited for a long time for our drinks to show up, (the bartender was not with customers or busy) finally another worker came over and asked what we ordered for dinks. She went and got them and had been sitting for awhile. I order a pina colada and it was melted and watery on the bottom, this new worker graciously got me another. She did wait for me to try it I believe she knew it was sitting for a bit. Food comes out barely 5 mins after we got our drinks. Hubby orders buffalo shrimp and I had a burger. His shrimp was cold, my burger though I asked for well done was over done. It was crunchy burnt outside. I tried to cut the burger in half and I could not cut threw the bun but when I did it was a mess. The bun was more like flat bread. Yes the bun was flat and tough. I will not be going back it was a horrible meal. They did reorder the buffalo shrimp but hubby said still wasn't good. What a waste of a good date night dinner. They did however discount our meal. Edit: since I can't seem to reply to the restaurant's comment. Yes we did eat our meal cause we were starving. As we live half hour away we were already hungry when we arrived. I DID say in my original post they discounted our meal. I'm not ungrateful for that. A restaurant in a very nice casino should have or I expect to high standards when eating at the casino. Our food should not have been Sent back at all. And after my husbands got sent back I didn't want to wait even longer for mine to get back, as again I was starving. The restaurant was nice! But was not busy and should not of had these problems. I didn't need to be told by the waitress that she was busy checking out another table cause they were paying with more than one credit card. And in her doing so is why my drinks sat so long. I'm not looking for a free meal and don't want one. I want people to know how my experience was. I never sad anything rude about the people or place. I stand by my scathing review of Tony Hinchcliffe, but Comix is a beautiful space and they clearly care about the experience of their audience members.** The only reason I initially gave Comix a negative review is because they booked comedian Tony Hinchcliffe. Not only isn't this guy funny, but he's mean and completely relentless and GOOD LUCK if you are in his line of fire. He was so cruel to my family through his ENTIRE set that fellow audience members sought us out after the show to apologize, indicate he went way too far, and ask if we were OK. I love comedy (even insult comedy) and go to shows all the time - but this guy is just a degrading, hurtful, angry, 5th grade bully who laughs way more at his own jokes than anyone else does. Hmmm...be weary of here...very limited menue which is ok..but....its well over cooked..i had the grilled chicken and cheese with bacon sandwich...kinda needed a chain saw! Same with my husbands. Unfortunately it doesn't sound like things have changed for the better with the recent performance by "comedian" aka harasser Tony Hinchcliffe. I had my husband's 40th birthday party at Comix in January during the one snow storm in CT this season. From my initial inquiry to after the event, they were wonderful to work with. Michael was extremely accommodating to all my requests. He went above and beyond to be sure the event went on despite the circumstances. Those that weathered the storm had a fabulous time. The comedians were hilarious and the waitstaff were all fabulous. I highly recommend Comix to anyone looking for a great night of laughs, and excellent service. We will certainly be back! read more

I have been to the comedy club three times and have really enjoyed the shows. The nice thing about the venue is the seating arrangement. Very comfortable and nicely set up. We also like the bar. The atmosphere is crisp and clean. There is a great selection of draft beer. The bartenders are helpful in making a selection and will offer a taste. The bar itself is large and the stools are comfortable. There are games to play-Jenga, Rock-em-sock-em robots and Connect 4, among others. There is usually entertainment on the weekends, which is a plus. I have never eaten there, so I can't comment on the food. Comix has been at Mohegan Sun for about a year and is a nice addition to the casino. read more

Food is terrible. Like....really bad. Don't even bother trying to eat something here. Even by comedy club standards, very poor. I was so surprised at how bad it was. Our chicken caesar salad was a few chicken strips with ICEBERG LETTUCE. Also, the tickets were very expensive for the seats we got. Finally, the layout of the room was weird. Kind of a joke. We were excited to get in and check out the updated Comix, but wow. Service was rough, bull was broke, food was clearly microwaved, cold in the middle. For 20 dollars we got 3 giant (not really though) pretzels, and 3 potato skins. These were definitely Walmart frozen foods. Wife asked the owner for ketchup, he cracked stupid jokes then brought out maybe 1 tbsp of ketchup tops for the table to share. Wow. The entertainment was pretty awkward as well. Was really hoping this would be a new great hangout after a show... always like popping in to the old Comix for a beer and some slice music after a show. Now it is just a large awkward space. Me and my friends stopped here on our way home from the beach. The service was good and our waitress was polite. The food was decent, nothing special. I got a burger with corn on the cob. The corn on the cob was flavorless as there was nothing on it and the burger was slightly above average at best. We had a nice time though. Whoever Dr Dirty is he is performing there soon read more

Came in tonight for a cocktail. Appeared a show was going on. We asked guy at podium who was playing. He literally said he had no idea. Okay. So we head to sit at bar. Female bartender shouts at us, "Kitchen closed! No food!" Nice welcome. First of all, we weren't interested in food. Second of all, female bartender was rude, disinterested and did not engage with patrons. Third of all, bar was filthy. Discarded plates, glasses and wet spots all over the bar. No thanks, we walked out. Want a drink? Many other places in casino, where servers are smiling, happy and ready to assist. Wish zero stars an option. Every employee was salty. read more

Went on Veterans Day for the veterans comedy show. The club is very nice. Cozy. Service great. Show was good-all veterans were the "comedians".
