I just wanted a simple no-chip but for some reasons it was so hard for nail spa to do this simple job right. My girl friend recommended this place. I didn't have too much hope but...WOW! This nail spa surprised me with really nice no-chip work! For working at corporate, you can't really have bright colors or fancy nail art...I mean you have the freedom to do so but trust me you don't want unnecessary attention on your nails. No chip with neutral solid color has always been my choice. I barely did white color because it could end up looking very weird or unnatural. But the lady (I believe her name is Lee) gave me the confidence for some reasons so I just went for it. I've been wanting to try white colors. She picked this color (not pure white). It looked very natural and nice on me. What impressed me is how bold it is. A lot of places seemed to cheap out the polish or they just did few layers that it made the nail work so thin. But this place did such an amazing job with my no-chip! Finally I found my regular stop for my nails! I also love that they have little scent diffuser. I didn't smell the unpleasant scent I used to smell at other nail spas. The music they play also made me very comfortable. I love the entire experience. Will definitely come back! read more

My friends recommended this spot. So, I tried calling and ended up having to call multiple times to make an appointment. (Maybe due to holiday season, hours were cut short? But after day 3, I was able to get someone on the phone and was able to book an appt) Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by Ms Lee. She spoke very little English but we didn't experience any communication issues. I didn't experience pedicure service. But my no chip manicure service was by far the very best I've ever received. She asked me, "what shape?" I told her, "kinda short" and she replied, "work on computer a lot?" I replied, "yes" and she replied, "ok. Short." Ms Lee's painting was masterful and was very careful, attentive, and didn't try to rush to finish despite her appointment waiting. Truly satisfied and will definitely return. read more

Big fan! It's a cute little shop. Every time I visit my fiancé - getting pampered here before dinner is must. Ms Lee is a hard working lady. She takes care of us all by herself. Superwoman! If I had to deduct a star (which I would never do because she truly is amazing), but if I realllllllly had to... it's because... Downside is - if you're absolutely lucky - Ms Lee can probably take you in as a walk-in but... she's normally always booked out and my fiancé (attending Northwestern) told me many of his classmates get their nails done by Ms Lee as well and complained about her random opening and closing hours. But!! On the bright side - she always honors appointments. So, that's my tip. Make appointment ahead - after all, this hidden gem seems like a 1 woman band. read more

Guess who I spotted at the spa? None other than my picky Northwestern University professor! Intrigued, I booked myself in right away. Let me tell you, I now understand why my professor swears by this place. The unnamed lady (oops, forgot her name!) who attended to me was top-notch. Service? A+ all the way. No rush whatsoever--she took her sweet time and delivered impeccable results. And can we talk about the cozy interior and chill background tunes? The vibe was just perfect. I have been going to Nail Bar for a very long time and when I called to make a reservation, I noticed a difference. The way phone was answered was a lot more professional. When I went there last Friday, I learned that Nail Bar has been bought out by a new owner and now, it's operating as Comma Nail. I had my medi and pedi with a technician named Connie and she was just excellent. The service was outstanding and everyone was very friendly. I'm very glad that this place has been changed for the better and will definately go back as a regular. read more

Obsessed with Comma Nail Spa! A friend introduced me, and now I plan my trips around it. Nails? Absolute perfection. My cuticles? Immaculate. And Ms. Lee? Total nail queen. She's tough on standards, but in the best way--no shortcuts here! I'll Uber from Gold Coast to Evanston for this place--it's that worth it. If my trip is 5 days or more, I'm there twice. I was looking for a nail spa that can do quality no chip and surprisingly it wasn't easy to find a good one. My friend highly recommended this nail spa to me. So I gave a try. Made an appointment before I went. Very cute place. And I love the hot towel and extra steps they took that made my experience even better. What's most important to me that my nails don't chip. This was my second time visiting Comma Nail Spa. I booked the reservation through a phone call. After I arrived, the staff greeted me with smile. The nail artist helped me to pick the color. She is very good at paying attention to details. The nail polish was applied evenly which I like the most. The seat is very comfortable as well. I felt relaxed. It's a pleasant experience. I have been worked on by all the girls here, and they all do high quality work and are very thorough. The space is a bit outdated, but I care more about the outcome of my nails. Ownership changed.. I used to go here when it was a nail bar. Service and the quality of the overall experience has definitely increased. The only reason why I didn't give a 5 star is because they do not have the dryer. Not really needed though.... because they spray you and all.. but installing a dryer would definitely get them at a 5 star!! read more

Been here a few times and while I like the set up and the cleanliness, it's really pricey.
