Very casual place to enjoy live music. Nice sound system. Varied menu with GF and vegetarian options. Friendly staff... seat yourself and someone will be by quickly. Full bar. Not terribly loud. Validated parking. Clean bathrooms. Lots of original music. Singer songwriters sharing the music they have written.

I was staying at the Holiday Inn and thought this was just a hotel restaurant - little did I know it had song writer showcases every evening and was amazing taste of Nashville. I ended up sitting there for three hours enjoying the music. The service was somewhat slow with only two waitresses for the whole place when I went but I didn't mind because I was enjoying the singers. I got the caesar salad which was delicious. The margarita was pretty sweet for my liking but I just asked for more limes and squeezed them in and it was delicious. Would highly recommend this restaurant!

Came here for a songwriters night! The performers were great! Ordered a drink and a burger with sweet potato fries, which were as expected. Service was pretty slow, but understandable given the place was packed. Parking is difficult in front of the Holiday Inn that the restaurant is attached to, but can do street parking nearby and walk over. Bathroom is outside the restaurant in the Holiday Inn itself.

We went on a night tour of Nashville and our guide recommended Commodore Grill because of the live music, easier parking (Holiday Inn's parking lot), and that several musicians were discovered here. The restaurant is to the left as soon as you enter the hotel, and it is clean and well maintained. The lighting is intimate which enhances the lighting for the stage. You seat yourself, and menus/silverware are next to the sign. We heard three live bands here, and they each had great performances. We got the fried pickles as an appetizer, and they were pretty good. For entrees, we got the chicken and the Commodore burger with sweet potato fries. The Commodore burger and fries were delicious and the chicken was ok. My only hangup with this place is the horrible service. Our server made it VERY obvious she didn't want a table, even actively ignoring us at times. The cook in the back was nice enough to bring our food to us and any request towards our waitress ("management charge" for extra ranch, and water refills in plastic cups despite having regular ones) either took quite a while or didn't happen at all. We were treated as if we came in 10 minutes before closing when the restaurant was still open for 2 more hours. I'd like to come back for the music and food, but the garbage customer service gives me second thoughts.

Cyndi. Oh boy! The only reason I'm giving a 3 is due to our server. Food was great. So We came over here invited by the Manager Jena and our waitress was nothing but rude and annoyed by the fact she had to server us. She forgot to bring the drinks and hoof and puff when we asked her to do anything for us. We were outside and the only table there but after not long more people got a seat outside. It was a nice night, a little windy but nice. We ordered different items from the menu. I ordered the sirloin steak salad and it was delicious. The steak surprised me on flavor and texture. It came with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing that just mixed well. My table also ordered the chicken gyro, the burger and chicken plate with mash potatoes and green beans. They have live music every night and it was a writers night type of music. They have plenty of seating and a bar area too. They are inside the Holiday Inn hotel. Parking is on the back of the hotel with a door at the back too. Overall, we enjoyed our time but Cyndi disappointed us.

Commodore Grille is found inside the Holiday Inn that features live local musical talents each night. While staying at the Holiday Inn, my husband and I came to this restaurant twice and ordered a meal to go once. With each time we interacted with this restaurant, I had 3 different experiences. With the first time, I made a to go order for dinner and got: Bourbon Glazed Salmon, $18 prior to tax ($19.67 after tax)- This salmon meal came with rice pilaf, a large side of green beans and a side of toasted bread. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the bourbon glazed sauce was sweet but excellent with the fish. The portion size of this meal is excellent for one person. I really enjoyed my meal, but it was rather pricey. But being that this is salmon, I expected it. The second time we came to this restaurant, we decided to stop by for some drinks (a beer for my husband and a glass of dessert wine for myself) while listening to live music. The service was friendly and I liked that our server always checked up on us and never pushed us to purchase anything else. The third time we came, we ended up getting: Side order of fries, $4.50 prior to tax- Served hot and crisp, a pretty nice portion. Nachos, $12 prior to tax- Major disappointment and would not order these again. Glass of wine, $8 prior to tax- My husband opted for a glass of red wine and he seemed fine with his choice. ------------------- (Total= $26.03 after tax, prior to tip) I wish we had the server from the previous night. But instead, we had Cyndi (at least that is what it says on our receipt). She was not friendly and just seemed annoyed when I only ordered fries. She had said "just fries" with a judge-y look. I decided to also order nachos too since we did have a late lunch and a no much of a dinner earlier. I think she was a little better with service later on but her attitude really could have been better. With the live music overall, most of the artists were great. There was one that was just really odd and a few that were okay. But I think it was nice to hear music from the area (we are in Music City after all). I really would only come here for the music. Please note that parking is self parking (not free) and valet only (also not free). But because I was staying in the hotel, my parking was included (in which I paid $25 prior to tax, each night. And yes parking is taxed here..) so not sure how much you would pay if you came.

I was pretty impressed with this place, A local that works at a boot shop told us to go here because we were looking for a low-key, live music, dinner spot. And this is exactly what we found. This is a lobby bar inside a Holiday Inn, but the food was great and our service was fabulous. Shout out to Chuck he has a new server here and we really enjoyed his company. The set up was for Singer-songwriters played acoustic music. They take turns-in about an hour later they all swapped out to new Singer-songwriters. We were told a lot of these Singer songwriters might later become famous or you might hear the songs on the radio.

Country music and good drinks . I had the Lynchburg lemonade ( Jack Daniels TN whiskey, orange liqueur, sprite and lemon juice ). My meal was the glazed salmon with wild rice and green beans; very bland, the most soul-less meal and dry salmon I've had. definitely need some seasoning and a sister in the kitchen. For dessert I had the Yazoo Hefeweizen beer and pecan pie, that was good . Overall, for a hotel Restaurant the food was decent, fresh made and a good option if you don't want to leave the property. The musicians were really good, seemed many were writers for known and unknown artist; up and coming artist themselves and/or people who just really love to sing.

It is tucked in a neighborhood in the West End, and most people were surprised we found it or had heard of it as non-locals. It is a very popular spot. We arrived 20 minutes early and snagged the last parking spot in the lot behind the restaurant. Eric R. wanted to sit outside, so we were directed to wait at the bar until a table opened up. I got the cucumber sage yuzu spritz mocktail, and Eric R. got a local amber beer. Our table was ready within 10 or 15 minutes, so we migrated to it for dinner. Our server was helpful in providing recommendations. We started with three shareables: the mussels in lemongrass serrano beer broth and grilled bread, tempura long-stemmed artichokes on Calabrian chile mascarpone, and the lamb lollipops with pearled cous cous. I tasted the lamb, and it was heavenly, like melt-in-your-mouth tender but with a lot of caramelization. That was really Eric R.'s choice so I let him eat the majority of it. I really enjoyed the mussels and the artichokes! Everything was hot and delicious. I was sipping broth with a mussel shell when the bread ran out, and the host came out with more bread for us! It was so good. We asked to see a dessert menu. Eric R. had a tough choice between carrot cake and blondie with caramel ice cream, but was steered toward the blondie and did not regret it. I asked what the house made ice cream was for the day, and it was coconut matcha with a white chocolate shell topping. That sounded so perfect, and it was AMAZING. The evening was beautiful, the restaurant was lovely, the service was fantastic, and the food was delicious! That is the answer!

I found answer just by chance on Resy, and decided to book it because the reviews were positive. We were blown away by the food. We started with the mushroom appetizer- so so delicious. I appreciated that it wasn't overly cheesy, and the leeks actually brought a lot to the dish. Next, we tried the special, which was a Thai curry snapper, and the hot chicken dish. My goodness were we unprepared for just how perfect and delicious these would be. I absolutely couldn't get enough of the peanut slaw paired with the chicken. My fiancé is pretty picky when it comes to fried chicken, and he said this was the 2nd best fried chicken he's ever had. The flavor of the curry was also very interesting- it was pineapple forward but also had a slight kick. Finally, the service was efficient, quick, and so friendly. We were seated right away, and the restaurant was lively but not too loud. I would definitely recommend a reservation, we went on a Thursday night and it was quite busy! However, it seems like they have a decent amount of bar seating available too. We're not local to Nashville, but we will definitely be back one day. Will also be recommending to everyone go try it!!
