Food always good, I had the seafood Mozambique no pic started eating and forgot, lol. But everything was great. Service was great my sister is a regular. And they have daily specials. The ambiance is just normal pub. If you're in Bristol check it out!

This family owned restaurant is a must-go hole-in-the-wall in Bristol! Staff is very friendly. There was a wait when we arrived so we got a cocktail at the bar. The cocktails are served in fun, oversized glasses and are unique flavors and taste combinations! I also saw they have live music a few night a month. We ordered fried pickles, onion petals, a burger, a Cesar salad wrap, and fish tacos. Everything was very good. With the meals, you can pick the type of fries you are served on the side - a great way to make dinner a little more fun and customized. For the menu - there's something for everyone! The restaurant itself is a little dark as it lacks windows being set in between tall buildings. However that is part of the charm! It reminds me of a traditional English pub.

Eh, I was expecting more from the 4.3 star rating (at the time I had read it). Pluses: - A very eclectic vibe with mucho character. - Quantity. Like on a gluttonous level. Pictures attached. - The prices. They're good. - The shrimp. The shrimp on my MIL's salad and in my Broccoli Alfredo were very nice and well cooked! Cons: The service. Not up to par I'm afraid. I asked for a draft of a particular beer, got an acknowledgement nod from the server (subbing for our server, to be transparent) and then our poor "real" server had to explain to me that this particular beer was not on draft when he brought me back a can. Disappointing, but no prob. I ordered another beer on draft as I was ordering my meal, but our server has forgotten; he did eventually remember, however, and graciously apologized. Still, it's disappointing, as in my mind, the number one rule is to keep the drinks filled at your tables (considering it's a bar), and it was far too long of a gap, coming in several minutes before the meal. A member of our table had ordered one set of fries with his meal, and the wrong ones came out. They did not feel like raising an issue out of it. Attention to detail is important, and the lack of it during my visit is the main thing that would keep me from coming back here next time I am in Bristol. In a final offer of transparency, there was a birthday party finishing up when we got there, and a catering order they were taking care of while additional patrons were eating/drinking. Still, in the service industry, it is important to be able to balance workload and staffing so the quality of service doesn't suffer for other patrons. Happy customers + more potential revenue for Common = a win-win! Quality - It's spotty. While the shrimp (and that salad) is fantastic, the Southern Fried chicken did not get high grades from the hubby and the nephew, who mentioned his chicken dish from a well known New England chain was better the day before. Whoops. If you're really fucking hungry though and cool with the above, then definitely come here, as you will likely not be disappointed!

    Waiting for everyone to arrive

I have been here several times & order alot from Door Dash too. I recently was there with a group of 7 for a reunion & probably for the 10th time I ordered the Pear & Gorgonzola Salad with shrimp. The salad is huge, you get about 8 giant blackened shrimp with chunks of caramelized giant walnuts. It's literally the most delicious salad I think I've ever eaten. I Alamo try something different but I usually end up ordering the salad. Someone ordered the chicken wings as an app & those were really good too. Like the perfectly baked skin with a tiny spice kick. Highly recommend. Great service too!

Not anymore. We've read of problems they've been having with the township and unfortunately it shows in the good. A Caesar salad was a plate of wilted bits of iceberg lettuce, a few croutons, a sprinkling of powdered Parmesan cheese - and that was it. No tomatoes. It was the quality you'd expect on an airplane. The turkey club used to be amazing. Now it was just OK. Still real sliced turkey breast but old and dry instead of rich and savory. There's a long list of draft beers on line. When asked the waitress said the only draft beer available was Harp. Literally one draft beer out of over a dozen on the menu. We'll sorely miss the old Aidan's, and hope a new owner might come along.

Our server Sonny cheerfully greeted us, made food and drink recommendations, listened and catered to our allergies, and took our orders quickly and accurately. She went above and beyond to make sure my shellfish allergy could be accommodated by speaking with the kitchen staff and calling the owner. I was happy to hear that the smash burger and French fries were safe for my to eat, and they did not disappoint!!! I ordered a painkiller that was insanely reminiscent of the painkillers at The Soggy Dollar in the BVI. Highly recommend it! This place has many cool historical features that contribute to its charm. If you're in the area, check them out!

The burger I ordered (bacon cheeseburger with no bacon) was delicious. No complaints there and I will probably reorder. The only problem here was that I asked for sweet potato fries instead of regular fries, to which the waiter simply said okay. Turns out it was an undisclosed upcharge. Not only did he not tell me it would be $2.75 (or something like that) more, but the fries are listed as the same price online. When I told him that, he said that their online menu is really old (this is to say, don't look at it! and also, not sure why they wouldn't update it if they know it's incorrect). Sure enough, the printed menu also said nothing about an upcharge for a different fry, so ultimately I was able to remove the charge, but it was a little awkward and frustrating. My only other complaint is not particularly the fault of the restaurant, but I suppose just a side effect of the laidback vibes. A group of 7 or 8 people came in like 20 minutes after us and was so loud that I almost suggested we leave. My guess is they were drunk, but it was a Wednesday night around 6:00, so I wouldn't have expected that. They were so loud that I was yelling to my friend who was within arm's length. Totally changed the vibe and enjoyment for me.

The drink menu was not very extensive. Our Asian salad cups appetizer tasted exactly like an Asian salad mix I've bought at the grocery store and looked like it too - I'm convinced that's exactly how they prepared this. My veggie burger had burnt edges and wasn't too enjoyable flavor-wise. It didn't help my overall impression that when I got takeout here another time, they totally butchered my boyfriend's name when we ordered over the phone, and we had a hard time picking up our order because of this (how you get "Stephanie" from "Anthony," I just really don't know). I think this place just gets lucky having a good location across from Independence Park and being close to but just out of the way from downtown. Can't say I was impressed by the food - there are too many other good options in Bristol, I just can't say I'd recommend this to others. Perhaps it's improved since I visited, but it's a pass for me based on experiences I've had.

I was expecting it to be a dive (I do love a good dive bar!), but Stingy Alley is beautiful and classy, with an amazing cocktail menu and small bites as well. I loved the dark wood decor, the low lighting throughout the establishment, and the accent lights at the bar are so pretty. There are many different types of seating - bar, high top tables, benches, regular tables, and a cute and comfy corner booth with throw pillows, which is where we opted to sit. Service was excellent. I was expecting to have to order at the bar, but Stingy Alley has table service. My husband ordered the espresso martini and I went with the Dubai chocolate martini. Both were outstanding - I could easily have tried a few more of the dessert cocktails, but alas we had a 40 minute drive home so that will have to wait for another visit. Will definitely come back to Stingy Alley - thanks for a lovely end to our night!
