The Admiral's a decent local spot for a burger and a beer, popular with families. Nice big booths, wood-y, dim lighting. Table service s l o w as molasses... They add the "New" into English pub with fab clamcakes the size of a small fist. Not a whole lot going on draft-wise; the usual suspects plus a couple of English ales, which I didn't really dig (flat) but that may just be a personal preference. Comfortable spot; will definitely give it another go.

Tuna - which was ordered rare. Does this look rare to you?And look at the messy presentation!

This was my second time dining at the Admirals Pub in Warren, RI. While the first visit was okay (food substandard, but service excellent), this visit was a waste of time and money. We were greeted within a couple of minutes and told to choose our seating, so we picked one of the booths near the window. It took a few minutes to get menus, but the server was polite and got our drinks right away. She wasn't knowledgeable about one of the menu items I inquired about so I chose the one she was familiar with - and ordered the item (tuna) rare with what I thought were two sides. My son settled on a burger. Then 35 minutes later, our meals arrived (which was quite a long wait during a time with only one other table in the restaurant and two women at the bar). When the meals arrived, both were a mess. My son's burger was greasy and sloppily put together - and my tuna was basically thrown on a plate with only one side. When I asked about the second side, the server said it only came with one. So I let that slide, writing it off as a misunderstanding - and then she disappeared for 20 minutes. When she came back, I told her that the tuna was over-cooked and I only chose to eat half of it. She apologized and took the plate away (I thought she was off doing something about it) - and ten minutes later came with the check and told me to have a good night. She simply didn't care! ~ It's been a while since I've tipped less than 20%, but tonight was one of those nights. I gave her 15% since the food wasn't her fault - and would have given her more had she simply showed some concern and maybe sent a manager over. What a waste of 1.5 hours and almost $40. ~ I think I'll skip this place next time I'm in town - which is unfortunate, given that I visit the area at least once a month.

Nice option instead of Square Peg in Warren. Food was very good and our server was great. Worth a try for sure!

Cozy English pub with food that is far better than the typical English pub. They also have a wide selection of bottled beers.

Price range around $10 for sandwich or burger on a bolo (instead of a bun - yummy!) with a side, and up to about $25 for entrees and all the fixings.

I was expecting it to be a dive (I do love a good dive bar!), but Stingy Alley is beautiful and classy, with an amazing cocktail menu and small bites as well. I loved the dark wood decor, the low lighting throughout the establishment, and the accent lights at the bar are so pretty. There are many different types of seating - bar, high top tables, benches, regular tables, and a cute and comfy corner booth with throw pillows, which is where we opted to sit. Service was excellent. I was expecting to have to order at the bar, but Stingy Alley has table service. My husband ordered the espresso martini and I went with the Dubai chocolate martini. Both were outstanding - I could easily have tried a few more of the dessert cocktails, but alas we had a 40 minute drive home so that will have to wait for another visit. Will definitely come back to Stingy Alley - thanks for a lovely end to our night!

We stopped in during Appy Hour for some appetizers and cocktails, which is our go to at Waterdog…read more They have a great app selection and it rarely disappoints. We ordered the mini stuffies, the hummus plate, and the fried pickles. The mini stuffies were a highlight. Loaded with Mello's chouriço and packed with flavor, they're a solid little bite. My grandfather set the bar pretty high for me on stuffies, and these came close. They have a different profile than what I grew up with; a little less bready, more chouriço forward, and the clam flavor takes a back seat. Not necessarily a complaint, they were just different from what I'm used to and were genuinely tasty. The lemon aioli on top was also a nice touch. The fried pickles were exactly what you want them to be. Crispy, well fried, and the breading actually stayed put while you ate them, which is more than I can say for a lot of fried pickles. They came with the same lemon aioli as the stuffies, which worked just as well here. The hummus plate was a bit of a letdown. We've had it many times before and it used to be a standout. This time the hummus itself was thick and pretty flavorless, more like a dense chickpea paste than anything else. The accompaniments were nice though and consisted of heirloom carrots, cucumbers, olives, cherry tomatoes, asparagus, pickled cauliflower, carrot, and a pepperoncini, all served alongside some buttery round crackers that were like a Ritz cracker's more refined cousin. The veggies saved the plate, but the hummus needs to find its way back. I suppose it could have just been an off batch and won't prevent us from trying it again. Cocktails were great, as usual. I had the Anana with scotch. I love pineapple and this has muddled pineapple and basil, pineapple juice, cracked black pepper. It's my go-to here and it delivered again. My partner went adventurous and ordered the Jungle Booby, which is built around tequila blanco and mezcal with campari, pineapple, grapefruit, lime, orgeat, and an absinthe spritz. The flavors were genuinely good, but the smokiness from the mezcal was a bit much for her taste. She followed it up with a glass of rosé and had no complaints after that. The cocktail wasn't the problem, it just wasn't her style. One of our favorite spots in Warren for a quick nibble, for a good reason.

I rarely have any issues or complaints. One thing I will say is during my most recent visit, our seafood was really rubbery and overcooked. But the rest of the dish was great. However they def sold more tickets than they should have. We were so far in the back that we couldn't see and the queens didn't come back to our area. Very disappointing.
