caramelized onion bacon sandwich london fog iced americano
Charlize V.

No complaints about this spot besides maybe it's only street parking. Ample seating, delicious food and drink, and a little shop you can browse while waiting in line. The sandwich was great, and I was iffy before ordering just because I don't like English muffin too much but the toast on it made it good. I had a hot london fog but would love to try the coffee next time. Seems pretty dog friendly, or that's just the Oceanside public acting like the Oceanside public haha.

The vibe is great for working. The service is quick and the staff is polite. However I'm very disappointed with the quality of the matcha latte. The addition of $1 for almond milk is ridiculous for a $7 diluted matcha. Clearly it's cheap matcha powder. I'm not complaining about the price but the quality of the matcha is unacceptable to call it matcha. So you should order something else.

Communal Coffee is my go-to Saturday morning pick-me-up. The lavender honey latte is my favorite. The space itself is super cute and has such a welcoming vibe. One of my favorite parts is that they even have a florist inside making fresh bouquets, which adds such a nice touch. There's also a small shop area where you can browse things like candles, books, clothes, jewelry, and even bottles of wine. The staff are always friendly, and there's plenty of seating if you want to hang out for a bit. They have WiFi, so it's a great spot to get some work done, and there's also outdoor seating for those sunny SoCal days. They also offer food options and even alcoholic coffee drinks, which is a fun bonus. Overall, such a great spot...definitely one of my favorites in the area.

Communal Burrito and Golden Coast

Ambiance wise this place was beautifully setup. There is plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors although I can imagine the place can get pretty crowded during peak hours. The Golden Coast drink was great and offered a great blend of espresso, honey and sea salt which was so good. Sweet but not an overpowering sweet. The Communal Burrito was honestly not very great tbh and I would probably opt for ordering a toast instead... otherwise pretty solid morning coffee place!

Drinks were not bad. Nothing killer. Service was super quick, nice water station, reusable plates and cups etc. Setting was nice with plenty of spots to catch up with friends, study, work etc. outlets inside as well. Clean bathrooms

Almost forgot to take a picture, but here's the Gold Coast iced coffee

Had the Gold Coast iced coffee the other day with my daughter, I may have found another outstanding coffee house here. This place is not only really nice to just come and hang out, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, but the coffee is really good! So many choices and they use good ingredients, I will definitely be here again and again.

Wow! I have been to the other locations in north and South Park and this location in Oceanside is immensely better. The size is larger with high ceilings and amazing lighting. There are several tables with outlets available to charge your devices. Lots of street parking nearby and ordering is really fast. I thoroughly enjoyed the vanilla cronut (the frosting had real vanilla bean!) and the salted caramel latte had a balanced flavor of espresso and caramel. My new favorite in north county!

This place is adorable! When I walked in, the people were very friendly and were able to recommend a drink & food. Both were absolutely delicious. There's different areas you can sit (patio out back, inside, front & side of building. Everything is open & airy.

Gorgeous coffee shop with a huge variety of plants, home decor, jewelry, and scents for sale. Absolutely loved the Santal and Palo Santo scents.

Vanilla Bean Latte

Great coffee shop! Really tasty vanilla latte (I tried it both iced and hot, hot was technically better but it was barely a competition) and the gals behind the counter provide friendly service. I love the design of the space, lots of natural light and plants, not too cramped and lots of seating and tables inside and outside to sit and do whatever. They played REALLY good music while I was there (The Smiths, Arctic Monkeys, TV Girl, the strokes, queen) which was unexpected and very fun. It's definitely a nice spot to do work, however it's not a library, so if you get distracted easily by noise I recommend bringing headphones as groups of all types were hanging out. It's a nice spot to sit with a friend or draw/read. Wifi is strong, bathrooms are tidy, but parking nearby is a little hard so be prepared to walk over unless you get lucky. And they have a cute gift shop with all kinds of temptations. I plan to come back to try their mimosas. Overall very great spot!

Came here with my partner we ordered a breakfast burrito, granola bowl, lavender honey matcha and a cortado. The granola bowl looked great my partner really liked it and she liked the Cortado so that was solid. My order didn't work out to well. The burrito was pretty bland, and I was given a lavender honey latte instead of matcha so I had to get my drink re-made. It was ok not the best matcha I've had but it was good. There is plenty of seating both inside and outside, it's a quiet neighborhood so its nice to sit outside and enjoy the day. If I were to come back I'd definitely get the granola bowl over the breakfast burrito. Maybe try a different drink as well.

I enjoyed this spot, it definitely gets busy. Met a friend for breakfast and it's nice place to just chill for a bit, eat, and chat. I'd come back to try their other coffees. The cold brew wasn't as strong as others I've had in the past but it is definitely flavorful 2 drinks and 1 bagel for $22 is a bit up there but it is what it is for the "vibe" Gluten free bagel and cream cheese definitely tasted very yummy. Place was on the cleaner side but I went pretty early in the morning and the bathroom felt grimy. Not messy but just dirty which I don't love. The chef comes out and brings you the food which is kind. I'd come back and overall had a decent experience

This place is located near other businesses and only has street parking. It's spacious and has a relaxing vibe with many places to sit. The workers could have been a little more welcoming, but maybe they had a long day. The ceremonial matcha was okay, but needed more matcha and less milk.

Very spacious

Where are their bagels from?

How is the parking situation?

There's plenty of street parking around, so while you may have to walk a block further when it's busy, there are still plenty of spots.

Hi, is this a work friendly cafe for remote workers? Thanks(:

Yes! It is very work friendly lotta of space inside and a nice patio too!

Is this spot the same as Communal Coffee on University?

Yes, they have 3 locations in San Diego county.

Does this place take reservations or is it first come, first serve?

It's a coffee shop, no reservations

Does anyone know if their Salted Caramel Syrup is dairy free? The barista could not confirm on our last trip there, no one answers the phone and whoever runs their IG page keeps leaving me on read haha!

TL/DR: if you're asking about the pre bottled syrups used in coffee drinks like Torani, you're fine. If they had dairy, they'd have to be refrigerated and they aren't. But if you're asking about like actual caramel drizzled into a drink, it probably… Read more

The…read moredrive made me sleepy, so on my way back, since now the traffic was heavier, I looked for some place to grab a coffee. Revolution came up and was close. Right off of Vista Way in Oceanside. Scored a spot right in front...must've been kismit! They have the regular coffees but also some signature drinks as well. But it looks like there's some seasonal coffees too. Friendly hello when it was my turn. Me: So what do you think, butterscotch or pistachio? He: I would say pistachio because sometimes the butterscotch is too sweet for some. Pistachio it was! So definitely inquire about the seasonal coffees because this was delicious! Great flavor and dark chocolate shavings on top. This helped keep me awake on my long drive home! Love that they're local! Also bought The Colores blend which they happily ground for me, and it is really good! Mellow flavor with a hint of dark chocolate finish. I now have a great spot to stop at if in the area and in need. They have great outdoor seating that's dog friendly, and a nice dining area.

Our main goal of the morning was to try PopUp bagel around the corner, and we needed coffee for the line. We ordered the Coconut Latte & the Maple Latte. They were decent, but with the $1.25 up charge for almond milk, the two drinks were over $8. At that price point, my expectations are high and unfortunately they just weren't met. There's nothing inherently wrong with the coffee at Revolution Roasters so I wouldn't mind giving them another shot. Hopefully a better experience here is in my future.

When visiting from LA, I now know where to get my coffee en route to San Diego…read more Let's cut to the chase: The cortado was excellent. It revealed the superb quality of their espresso with just a light helping of whole milk. My non-coffee-drinking buddy shockingly ordered the pistachio mocha latte, which he utterly consumed with no objections. My other friend got the matcha, which tantalized me from the sidelines (*I'll have to try it next time). Now for the setting: great lighting, chill and pleasant vibes, comfortable seating and tables. Not least although last in mentions, the people working here are true gems. Genuine folks who go the extra mile. If I had a say in the matter, the employees, managers, and maybe even the owners should get a pay raise. Hands down 10/10

Lots of parking here, the interior of the space is airy and bright with lots of natural lighting and many tables. It would be a good place to sit and get a few hours of work done. however, only a few tables have access to a socket so keep that in mind . They also have a fun little assortment of items you can shop for, including handwoven baskets, coffee paraphernalia, and other merchandise. They have pastries and prepackaged snacks, some of which were gluten-free, which is always appreciated. I got a iced strawberry Matcha, and it was very good. They use ceremonial grade Matcha and a yummy strawberry jam/purée spread. It takes a little bit to mix it into the iced Matcha, but once you blend it in there, as I did, it was really tasty. The staff was very friendly as well! Overall, really enjoyed my drink and the good vibes, and would love to come back.

Haven't been home for years and this was so exciting to see a new bakery. Everything looked great…read more My friend bought a strawberry cake from here that was very good. I purchased a Toffee latte that tasted good. My only complaint was that it was a whole two knuckles short for $6.95. I would think it would be at least to the top of brim. Also, be very careful. It was so hot that it burnt my tongue. There were two people working and it took about 10 minutes for me to get my coffee. I tried the White chocolate chip cookies but they just were not that flavorful, yet they were huge in size. Just bland. My daughter asked a local, is there anything really good that we should try. His response was, HMMMM some things are good some and others not so much. She decided not to get anything. The place was very busy on Saturday at 4 PM. Since it was kind of new at the time, when I come back in Nov this year, I will go back out and try again. The restaurant was clean and tidy.
