When a customer like me comes to your car shop for recall services, and the car dealership that you bought your car from has their mechanics intentionally disconnect parts in your car only to try an cause issues and up charge you for a problem that was never a problem to begin with. I have NEVER had a good experience at this Kia for the service department. It's the closest one to me and I'm going to start commuting to where I bought my car initially (Kingwood Kia) just because they do not have it together. They can never find my information regarding my oil changes that are included on my account. The manager is not above and beyond and seemed bothered when I needed him to help. I called Kingwood Kia for assistance and they ended up calling Baytown Kia's manager to get it squared away. Very frustrating but rather go where I'm valued. read more

I made an appointment for my car to be diagnosed under warranty for a noise. I arrived for my appointment, and the service advisor asked if I had an appointment & if I had ever brought my car in for service. If she had looked in the computer, she would have seen the answer for both! Then she says it may not b diagnosed today & there aren't any loaner cars. The tech rode with me to hear the noise. An hour later, the advisor says I will have to make another appointment for them to be diagnosed. It will take about 6 hours & I would need to either wait or pay for a rental car. Once they determine if the repair is warranty, then they may be able to get me a loaner. That could take up to 3 weeks! My car is only 2 years old and still under factory warranty. This Kia dealership is by far the worst dealership I have ever worked with. When I bought the car they promised to replace my trim around the windows due to discoloration and wear but it's been almost a year and the trim is still not all replaced. They do not know how to keep their word. They have kept my vehicle for weeks only for me to get it back exactly the same. I had to force them to loan me a loaner vehicle because I had no other car to use. I took my car in for a maintenance checkup and now they are saying my radiator needs to be replaced due to debris? My car is a 2022.... With only 30k miles.... I bought the extra warranty and per the manager everything is covered under extra warranty but not this? How did debris get somewhere it's not supposed to be if the car was made correctly and the car went through a whole 156 point check or whatever for it to be considered a "certified" preowned. Also, it was listed as certified and we had technical issues even before we bought the car... so how did it pass? Also, half the time service can't communicate with parts and you call to ask about something and they don't even know what you're talking about. This place needs to get it together. The manager is decent but the service manager is trash. The only person in this facility that knows what she is doing is averi and unfortunately she can't run and keep up with everything that is said between everyone. read more

And they made me and my wife wait 2+ months with us continuously contacting them with no call backs. And when we finally got a response for the car to be fixed they took our vehicle and with my wife active duty military.. and refused to give her a loner! Absolutely unbelievable. With four dealerships in the vicinity. They blaintly refused to accommodate my wife or pay for the solutions leaving us to forcibly spend money on Ubers to get back and fourth to work and everything in between really poor management.. customer service. As a proud owner of a 2010 Kia Soul, which had under 100k miles I felt compelled to bring my vehicle to Community Kia after experiencing some engine issues. After the inspection, It was recommended that I replace my transmission at the cost of $6k. Given the low mileage and professional recommendation, I decided to proceed. After service, I continued to experience the same issues and returned to Kia voicing my concerns. After re-inspection, I was informed by the service attendant that the mechanic said there was nothing more he can do. The vehicle was a "rust bucket "! Question: Why would Community Kia recommend the replacement of my transmission when it was not in the best interest of the customer??? I thought there would be an incentive to purchase a new Kia there to stay true to the brand, but nothing was offered. I took my business down the road to Hyundai and I am a satisfied customer. I felt compelled to share this disdainful experience as reminder that you can always take elsewhere. I am letting go of this bad karma and investment with Community Kia and moving on to 2025...best of the New Year to all!!! read more

So while the car is sitting there waiting on us to come up with that kind of money, now they want to charge $30 a day for the storage of the vehicle! Imagine taking the time to figure out what type of car you want, which make and model and then driving 30 minutes + to a location because of it's glowing reviews, just to have the experience I was subjected to. The man who came to assist me took over an hour of my time, just to waste it. Ed seemed to make a point to be as informal as possible, never once calling by my name or even bothering to use an honorific. I was a nobody to this salesperson and it showed. He almost seemed to go out of his way to make this such a dead and impersonal experience. I would have been ready to sign and complete the sale, until he brought out the final amount and it was suddenly padded with an extra $3K of extras and features I did not request and in some cases did not want. And it wasn't as if this was not made clear from the beginning that such an amount would kill a sale, but instead of giving me a head's up, he waited until we were finishing up to surprise me with this. And he seemed to have the nerve to act as if we were wasting HIS time, as if we had not been clear from moment one. So either we was ignoring or not listening to me, or he didn't care. The worst part was at the end. After he effectively killed the sale, he started speaking to my friend, who was accompanying me for this, as if he was the dominant partner or something, trying to talk him into selling me on the extra charges. He couldn't even be bothered to say goodbye to me, deferring to my friend, and ignoring me completely. This salesperson was not just impersonal and rude, I felt as if he had no soul. And if this is 'one of our better salespersons' as the lady at the front desk said... I cannot imagine how bad the BAD ones are. read more

I so badly wish I could give 5 stars because I love my car and I am thrilled with the features and how it runs but that isn't the issue. I came in a few weeks ago and I thought my service was fine and got my car. Fast forward to today I filled out a review that was asked of me to do. I was asked to put all 10s, which I did. It also had multiple choice questions where you pick the option that you feel fits what the question is asking. A few of these questions I put my honest opinion, not a rating. I clicked one of the multiple choice answers that talked about negotiation as well as time. While I had great service, I was at the dealership for more than 4+ hours the day I bought my car. I came in the morning and did not leave until that evening. My brother and I couldn't even leave to eat. We also had other personal appointments to get to that had to be cancelled as well as my brother almost being late for work. That's not all, I had to come back the next day and couldn't leave with my car the day I came in (which is fair I needed to bring more information). It also took us over an hour to negotiate a price. I understand it takes awhile but looking at the whole picture 4+ hours is still a lot. Other than putting the multiple choice answers that fit these circumstances, time and negotiation were selected and to my knowledge it was only for feedback not reflection. After submitting this I received an unprofessional text from my sales person Robert. Screenshots listed below. I never once said or put anything disrespectful, but I had to defend my opinions. I am only writing this to warn others. Knowing much about how businesses are ran these are things to look out for when shopping. If you give them business expect to only put 10s and not your opinion. I am posting this to bring awareness. I am truly upset and feel attacked. If there is a problem you ask politely, not say these things listed in the texts I received. I purchased a used Jeep from them. First of all the salesman yelled my name when I drove up. Derrick is his name. When I got to the point of purchasing, they had added 800+ for an inspection. Fast forward to leaving with my Jeep, Derrick did not put gas in it as he said he would. He drove off with the Jeep and did .... I don't exactly know. Interestingly enough I now hear a noise and the radio completely shorted out. It's sad that they charge $846 and then .... nothing absolutely nothing is as expected. Very long story short, I would not recommend Community Kia and their group of dealerships. The used car department at Community Kia is run by a person who is dishonest, expects dishonesty from his salesmen, and will hide issues with cars when selling to you. We bought a used minivan on a Saturday, on Sunday the check engine light came on. When we left the dealership Saturday we had to go to their Honda dealership to have the Navigation unlocked. How does it lock? It locks by unplugging the battery. When you unplug a battery, it clears any computer codes, and turns off the check engine light. When we called to see if they would do the honest thing and take care of it, we were "done a favor" and they paid for parts, leaving us with a $500 labor bill. My advice, just steer clear of Community dealerships. If you want work done on your Honda, go talk to Paul. He is a wonderful guy, who will do his best to give you the quality customer service you deserve in an honest manner. He is the ONLY person I would do business with in that group of dealerships, I will, however, never be going back to any of those dealerships simply because of how we were handled by the people at Community Kia. Go search for another dealership, they aren't worth your time or money. Also, go look at other reviews on other sites, it's an eye opening experience, one I wish I'd had before walking into Community Kia. read more

Community sold me an undisclosed flooded vehicle. Instead of taking accountability, they wanted to give me trade-in value for the flooded vehicle and charge me another down payment on a second one. These people are a bunch of thieves and have the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Now I'm stuck with a vehicle that reeks of rust and mold, has sand in the engine, and is corroding all over, yet no one is aiming to help. Horrible. I was looking to buy a car that I saw on autotrader.com. The dealership is about 40 minutes from where I live, so I called ahead to make sure that the car was there. The dealership's customer service rep confirmed that the car was there. When I arrived the dealership, one of the salespeople said that they didn't have it in stock. Frustrated, I called the dealership's customer service line again and they confirmed that the car was there. I had to tell them that I was on the lot and that the car was not there. I am a single mother in Indianapolis with a daughter at IU. She took her Kia in as it was overheating. Had an $89 diagnostic test to find out she needed a new radiator cap. Total $189.00. A month ago car would not start. Alternator: 5 days, $900.00. Picked up car with bugs in it that took a week to get rid of. They are rude and ungrateful let alone helpful when my issues typically involved a stranded kid and me miles away. Today I called as the car is overheating. I was near tears. We returned to Community Kia after Hurricane Harvey to replace my 8 month old Sorento that was flooded. We were looking at used and new vehicles. I have bought 3 Kias from this place. The first and second were from a different sales person. The last one, the Sorento was from a older gentleman. The last time I dealt with him he pretty much told me during negotiations that he was close to retirement and didn't really care if we bought the car. So here he is again, attitude pretty much the same. I should have bolted when I saw him coming across the showroom floor but times being what they were then I didn't. The salesman was less then helpful to us. He was unwilling to negotiate even $100 off the used vehicle. We were given the attitude that too bad there is a lot of folks behind you. We contacted this salesman twice to get a price on a new Sorento but the gentleman did not call back. Spent my 30 grand down the road. Never again...and it took six weeks to get the money from the insurance because Kia Finance was less then cooperative and communicative. Never again. read more

Do not purchase a vehicle from this dealership. They care nothing about the customer. Community Kia will sell you a piece of trash car and when said car breaks down they do nothing to help you. Granted the car was bought used and as-is all I needed was the multipoint inspection sheet to see what was done for the vehicle but I was told that it should have been in the glove compartment of the car and it was NOT. That leads me to believe that a multipoint inspection was NOT done on the car and they wanted to sell that car. It was a 2013 Ford Fiesta that was brought to the dealership in November 6, 2015 and I purchased the car on December 2, 2015. Eight months later I am without a car. Kia Optima sxl sold and two recalled parts fixed, the next week the engine went out, low and behold- another recall.. Kia promised us a BRAND NEW ENGINE. Upon picking the car up we were notified that the engine was refurbished and not new, (to which she said was her mistake she slipped up on words, seems like a big slip if you ask me!).... At this point my husband had left work twice to deal with this. The day we picked it up they asked to keep the car a third time bc they had broken the front end. We asked for a buy back at this point as we are unable to sell it for what we wanted considering the refurbished engine. The sales manager Victor Smith was unwilling to budge on his offer despite being lied to about the engine, despite the car being kept for a third time on their fault, despite requesting my warranty to know what was even happening. Nothing. Shameful. We only asked for $200 more than what they would offer. Upon the help from Ed doing our payoff we watched victor walk around, blow his nose, help other customers and completely ignore us. Blown away with the ethics show today. We drove 1 hour to the dealership since we received a quote from the internet manager. The quote includes everything and the tires was charge $399. After go through negotiation with price, we signed the contract. I was waiting for my husband to get to the dealership to drive the car home and sign the finance paper. He got there then sale manager said he calculated the price wrong and he wanted to changed the price $1500 higher. I dont know how you guys feel about it but as a first time kia buyer it's unacceptable. We wanted to go home and they came back and said it's ok they agree with the first price that we've already signed. We sat there wait for finance manager another 45'. Then we got the car and left. A day later we realized the spare tires was missing. They charged us the tires fee when we did the final deal and now it's missing. I called the sale man from friday and wait from friday to wed. My ABS light and Stability control light was on. I set up an appt online after going to an appt i had at Gay Kia in league city. When i arrived to Gay Kia they told me it would be upto a week before they can see my vehicle. I left and set up the appt online and took it to community kia that afternoon. I requested on the notes for them to contact me to ensure they would be able to fix or at least look into the issue during my appt.
