DISABLED PEOPLE BEWARE!!!! Although this is an interesting and well organized store, I was told to leave when I brought my Service Dog in with me! I understand that some people misuse the claim of a Service Dog. However, I am a Commissioner on the County of Sacramento Disability Advisory Commission and well-schooled in the ADA and how Service Dogs are determined. The staff there, in particular Darlene, was rude, told me to leave, my Service a Dog was NOT allowed in the store nor were strollers of ANY kind. My Service Dog is a miniature Long-Haired Dachshund whom I put into a stroller for two logical/medical reasons: 1. I use the stroller for stability instead of a walker or a cane; 2. It is unsafe for my CERTIFIED Service Dog to be on the ground where people could either step on her or trip over her. In addition, on warm summer days, the sidewalks are frankly TOO hot on which to safely place a dog. Nevertheless, I was RUDELY told to leave and when I asserted my rights as a disabled person and refused to leave, this Darlene person continued to ridicule me and make fun of me for putting my dog in a dog stroller (NOT a child stroller). My husband and I have traveled all over the world with my Service Dog. We recently returned from a 16 day Hawaiian cruise that included my Service Dog. In order for my Service Dog to travel with us, she MUST be perfectly behaved. NO EXCEPTIONS!! When I spoke to the President about this is issue, she blew me off and treated it as though it was of no import. So, if you care about persons with disabilities, think TWICE before shopping here. IF I choose to go back to this store, I WILL bring my Service Dog with me and I WILL have my Service Dog in a stroller. If Community Project chooses to call Law Enforcement, then I guess it will escalate to the Court. My husband is an attorney. I am a Certified Paralegal and a Commissioner on the Disability Advisory Commission and this discrimination and FAILURE to provide a reasonable accommodation may well effect Community Project Thrift Store's ability to remain in business. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place... I find ALL SORTS of great treasures!!!!! from antiques to STUFF THAT JUST MAKES YA HAPPY! and everything is in great shape and prices are RIGHT ON!!!! PLUS..... they allow some of their proceeds to help MEALS ON WHEELS.... so, they are A+++++++ in my books. read more

I love cp . I have been going there over 20 years. It is hit or miss like any thrift store but when you find a hit you will be pleased. Community projects ALS does a lot in the local community which is always needed. The staff are dedicated and I have never had a hard time in twenty years. read more

This place is an amazing community asset. It not only offers great previously owned and new items at bargain prices but all of the profits go back into the community to support worthwhile projects...like Grad Nite! It is truly a win-win and Napa is lucky to have CP Projects. Really friendly and helpful staff too! read more

As far as thrift stores, this one is one of my all time favorites ( after Simply thrift in Sac) I still have a little Krups blade grinder I got here about 12 years ago, new in the box $3! It's obviously hit or miss, but when you find that thing you've been needing for $3, gotta love that. read more

I will never ever go back. Lady that worked there got mad a me for looking at clothes where she wanted to put some clothes. Then I go to register and it took more than ten minutes for two transactions. Yes on my lunch hour and had to be back when i walked out with nothing. Other cashier made seven transactions in the same amount of time. I can see why her line was longer. My cashier kept saying I just dont want to make any mistakes, lets redo this amount again. Great local thrift store with great finds and reasonalbe price items. The money raised goes to our local schools.

Today was the second time I tried to donate, both times were horrible experiences. I called before hand to make sure they weren't overwhelmed and still accepting donations, the lady on the phone said "yes come on over". When I got there with my three large bins of clothes they only accepted a few shirts and the lady working there was incredibly rude to me. They were nice clothes and for the second time, trying to donate was a total waste of my time on top of having to deal with a unreasonably nasty lady. I will never donate to them again. read more

Last year before the holidays I checked out the thrift store and a holiday dinnerware set with snowmen caught my eye. It was priced at $50. For that I got a perfect (no chips, cracks or stains) place setting for TWELVE which included dinner plate, salad plate, coffee cup, coffee saucer, dessert bowl, creamer, sugar, gravy boat, small platter, large bowl and large platter. The woman who helped me got boxes from the back and wrapping paper so we could wrap each item up. She even helped me load the three boxes into my car which was parked in the convenient parking lot next door! I love finding gems like this here! I have also found great clothes for halloween costumes (they had 80's women's suits like they wore on Dallas with the big shoulder pads!). I've bought electronic gadgets brand new in the box for a tenth of what the department stores were asking. Worth checking out! read more

Visited twice on our trip to Napa this year. Wife picked up plenty of knick-knacks, greeting cards, and other funnities. I found a flour sifter, and enjoyed a burger next door! Knowledgeable and polite staff, good pricing, and a well-organized layout made for a great experience! read more

I used to love this place and frequent often. However, these last two trips have been very unfriendly. I have children, who act like children, and I get hounded when I am there. One of the workers, Chris, was in charge of opening the toy case. She was not kid friendly and patient, while my kids looked for a toy under the pile of toys. I understand these women are likely volunteers, but can't we be a little more friendly?!?! Needless to say I will not be returning anytime soon. read more

Best thrift store in Napa! I've been coming here for over twenty years and you never know what you'll find. My sister who lives out of town loves this store too. Whenever she comes for a visit we end up spending an hour or two here. Yes, sometimes the check out lines are long and slow but it's worth the wait. The only thing we don't like about this store is that they don't take debit or credit cards. read more

Recently I brought blankets down to donate. The volunteer had an attitude and she told me that she wasn't sure that she wanted to take them. She told me that they stunk. I smelled the blankets and they didn't smell like anything. She asked me "don't you smell what I am smelling", I said no and that I'm allergic to scented detergent and use a non-scented one. Maybe she was accustomed to smelling items that are washed with a detergent that has fragrance. She finally begrudgingly took them. In the future I will go back to donating to Church Women's United. They are happy to receive my donations and don't treat me poorly. read more

Heads up!: They now accept debit and credit in addition to cash with their new register system!! Best thrift store in the Valley, hands down. Wonderful selection. Can be hit or miss, but you will always find something. The staff is always very friendly. The prices are great and they usually have sales going on on top of the reasonable prices.
