Great flavor of citrus, seared tuna, and the right ratio of crudo to wonton chips. My lunch guest got the crawfish hush puppies which weren't as great as the crudo- dry but came with an amazing gravy so definitely soak them up in that, but was lacking crawfish- had to search for them in each hush puppy- trust me, get the crudo. The catfish dish- wow- large serving I had to take home the leftovers. The crispy cornmeal was perfect, the sweet chili glaze wasn't spicy but more like a sweet and sour sauce which sounds odd with catfish but it works! So delicious. And that bed of mushroom risotto- creamy, and with plenty of mushroom pieces, no skimping there and we're not taking about teeny pieces and sparse mushroom in this risotto, good size pieces and plenty! The chicken fried steak was outstanding and very tender. I liked that the delicious gravy came on the side so the steak stayed crispy. The sides were also outstanding. The GM (Glen, sp?) came to say hello because it was our first time there. I told him everything was wonderful and that we would come back. In 2026, that's an unnecessary inconvenience and shows a lack of investment in the customer experience. Between the overpriced, mediocre dessert and the outdated payment options, this was a thoroughly disappointing visit.

All the food there is awesome.....home cooking !!!!!!! Our favorites are: Beans, Smothered steak, chicken tenders, gravy-to-die-for, and the chicken fried steak is the best I have had in TEXAS. This isn't the same frozen food you can buy at Sam's Wholesale club that has been reheated and served. This is the real stuff, seasoned, fresh and tasty. The chicken tenders are perfect! Large strips of tender white meat on the inside with a crust that I wish I knew how to make. Oh yea and their TexMex food is wonderful too. Noticed the owner greeting the people waiting for seats and the workers hustling to get the tables ready and set up for large groups. Ordered the Ladies omelette and it was perfect. Been a regular at this little cafe for a while now and love it. Weekend's breakfast can be crowded and busy but we noted a nice change today. The owner, Glenn, has added staff!
