DO NOT waste your time or money hiring this company! The company contracts out their work to a third-party mover. They wanted a deposit to book the move. The movers arrived late with the wrong size truck! 2 of the 3 movers were weaker than a 10 year old child. They dropped and broke a handful of my furniture items. My husband had to help out and moved more than the movers we were paying. The staff does not communicate and you will speak to several people and get varying information from each person. Love is likely who you'll encounter first just to get your money, she will NOT communicate your needs to Lamar who will then call you and is a fast talker and makes promises and doesn't deliver. Three men arrived late, two workers for moving, loading up and unloading. One man, who was the supervisor was quite rude. He insisted on being paid in cash while failing to mention that fact prior to coming out. At that point they already had a non-refundable deposit. The men loading took Their cue from the supervisor and became progressively more rude as time went by. When loaded, we proceeded to my new home where once there, I watched from my house as they casually circled at the top of the block three times. I honestly believe they did so to pad the bill. They were unprofessional and condescending in their behavior. I honestly believe had I not been a woman, they would have had a better demeanor. They set my appointment for 8AM-12PM, called to change the window to 12-2PM, said they were 30 min away and never showed up. They were 2 hours late, overcharged me $600.00, because the 2 guys who moved me screwed around for 4-5 hours: They ate, they chatted, they disappeared for long periods of time. I knew they were overcharging me. I was wearing a sling, with a shattered arm waiting to be operated on. I was alone. Was given a window of 1-4PM on Saturday. Didn't show up until 4pm. Called them again; they say 10min away. Didn't show up until 6pm. Called them again. Apparently they are lost. Had to go to Wendy nearby and pick them up. What was supposed to be done by no later than perhaps 6PM, began after 7PM and ended up finishing after 11PM. Turns out that the mover's phone has run out of battery, and hence couldn't find my home. Then, it was dark -- it was a rural area -- and the truck had to move slowly -- very slowly. It's all understandable. Your mileage may vary, though I don't think I want to take any more chances with them. I don't move much, and I want things to go as I planned when I move. On a positive side, I enjoyed working with the movers. The office staff was helpful answering the phone till late hours on Saturday. (I was very afraid of them not being available and losing contacts with the movers on the way since it was Saturday, and the job continued way past the business hour). Also the price was pretty competitive. Perhaps other people will have better experience with competitive relocation service. read more

Decided against using this company after excessive outreach and being disrespected to the point I had to raise my voice and hang up on the woman who answered the phone when I called. My move date is 6-8 wks out, yet I received daily calls AND emails when I didn't have the chance to call them back immediately (i.e. aprx 4 days because of my work schedule, I was waiting to make calls that Saturday). I told the woman who answered that I wouldn't be using them because of the excessive contact, at which point she became belligerent and disrespectful, interrupting and talking over me rather than listen to my feedback that lost them a customer. If you're in it for the long haul--this is the place for you. Meaning--if you are interested in a long-winded process to get ripped off and scammed, then this is your place. I booked this company months in advance. AFTER you pay your deposit--you get a nice booklet of information on all their extra fees, including 50 bucks to carry any television, more money for certain walking distance, and a whole host of other things they don't tell you on the phone.They tell you there's a certain window you need to ask for proof of insurance (which most landlords require). I asked for that well in advance, about three weeks. Was promised I would get it. Emailed multiple times. Called multiple times. Even threatened to find another company if I didn't get it by following day. Next evening I called again because I still didn't have it, and it was three days from my move. ONLY THEN did I get the paperwork, to which I told them at this point I didn't need it because I chose to no longer trust them with my belongings, and skeptical of their original quote. I asked for my deposit back. The company then REFUSEd to return the deposit because their policy says it must be cancelled within 10 days of move day. However, that should be moot considering their failure of service was the reason for the cancellation. They didn't live up to their end of the bargain. After I pushed, I was told I would get the deposit back. That was a month and a half ago. Still no return of deposit. The first few times I called I was told I should get it in a few days. Then the company started making up excuses why I couldn't speak to the manager, and has now stopped answering my calls all together. I am now pursuing representation and will be filing complaints with the BBB. read more

I had a terrible experience with this moving company. They damaged my furniture and as requested I submitted photos of the damage. I was then put on what was an ambush phone call with the movers who accused me of damaging my own furniture after they left. As of today I have yet to receive a response to several emails, I moved in July 2018 and it is now Sept 2018. I have received no response and where I could have gotten someone when I made arrangements, now no one answers the phone, I guess they have a list of calls not to answer after they get an unhappy client I wish I had seen these reviews before I used them they are unprofessional, and will continue to ignore you. I will move forward to file a claim against them with business bureau and see if I can recoup some of my loss in court. read more

The worst moving experience ever. I get a reservation for 8 A.M. with a mover named Garrett. I call at 8:21 after he didn't show. He tells me thar he will arrive in the next hour. At 10 A.M., I call to check his status only to be immediately sent to his voicemail. I call the company and the woman there tells me she will check in with him and update me to what's happening. At 11 A.M., I call since I didn't get an update, and she informs me that Garrett can't move me because he doesn't have enough helpers, so she will be booking me with another mover in the afternoon. The new mover calls me and informs me that it will be in the evening, not the afternoon. I asked him why that time instead of the afternoon and he immediately starts screaming and yelling at me about how he can't deal with me and won't move me and then hangs up. I call the company back and instead of the woman I had been working with, I get a guy named Lamar who claimed to be the owner of the company. I explained the situation o was in and he then starts yelling at me about how everyone is on unemployment and even college students don't want to work at the moment, as if it's somehow my fault he seems to be unable to pay his workers a competitive wage. He finally gets the mover who yelled at me to agree to come to move me. Three guys show up. Two of them did all of the work, and the one who yelled at me went to a nearby restaurant to buy and eat wings. He did nothing except complain while the other two worked. When he asked if they had the chance for a meal all they had to say was "no, we only shared a small sandwich." And then he completely ignored them and didn't offer them any food or break to get food. When everything was packed we left to go to the new place. On my way there, I get a call saying "we're here and waiting, where are you?" And I explain that I'm about 5-10 minutes away. When I get there, I don't see them so I call and ask where they parked. They tell me the address and I ask them to reconfirm what they said, the mover yelled at me "don't patronize me, I know where I'm supposed to be." When I explained to them the cross streets, I turned out they were on the literal opposite side of the city that I had given the address for (they went north instead of south, like I had said). It takes them another 30 minutes for them to get to me and again, the one mover did nothing and left everything to the other two. After the move, I called the company to explain my frustration with the experience and Lamar just spent 10 minutes berating me about how everything was my problem and not his. He also told me that the calls are recorded and he would be happy to have them played in court against me. I would be happy for those calls to be released so I can hear how wrong Lamar was. Terrible company that treats their customers like shit, do not use this company. I hope it goes out of business. read more

Competitive Relocation Services were great helping me at the last minute to replace a different moving company who could not complete the job. They worked with me on a Sunday afternoon to get new movers at my house the same day to complete packing a POD. The guys they sent were from Hands On Deck Moving Company and they were phenomenal. They quickly came in, assessed the situation, and finished the job in only an hour and 15 minutes when the previous mover had been there for over an hour and only moved two pieces of furniture into the POD. They were friendly, efficient, and took great care with my belongings. They truly were life savers and I will hire them again to move back out of the POD when my renovations are complete! read more

This company should be closed!!! Do not use them!! They took 6hrs for what that quoted at 3hrs to move my 2 befroom apartment (@$100 per jour). They took apart things such as the shelfs out of my tv stand that i still can't find. My couch is missing one of its legs and is now sitting on a slant. Boxes werepacked and labeled as requested and then all thrown in one room. I attempted to contact a manger or customer service and still have not received a call back. At the end of the move my 9 year old daughter and I started moving boxes from the truck in because it was almost 10 pm. I hired them to make this move easier instead i wound up moving a majority of my belongings. And whatever I did not move was broken. This was a NIGHTMARE!! read more

I would not recommend this moving company. My move was supposed to and should have taken 3 1/2 hours due to the fact that it's an apartment and I had my sons box up everything and take the smaller boxed items and clothes themselves and also disassemble my desk and bed. The movers were taking the larger and heavier items. They arrived on time and got right to work but took numerous smoke breaks. They had difficulty getting my leather couch out so one of my sons had to direct and assist them in the process. I was moving 10 minutes away and my 31/2 hrs had expired before we even got there. At the 5 hr mark I had them stop the clock after my big items were off the truck and my boys removed the rest. In the days that followed, as my sons were putting my office and bedroom furniture back together I noticed the damage done by the movers. From the many reviews written about damaged furniture by this company I don't feel it's worth trying to recoup the little I may or may not get from them. The damage is done. I wish I could give them a negative star! I had to fire them within 20 minutes of the services. I hired them to pack only. The first guy entered and said we usually move, I've never packed. I told him I hired the services for packing and that's what I'm expecting. The 2nd guy said, yeah we can pack it. It took less than 20 minutes for me to see that they were not trained in packing. My property was thrown into boxes and space was not utilized properly. When I called the company, a very unprofessional guy got on the phone and argued with me about how I could determine if they were packing things properly or not. I decided I would not go back and forth with them. I told them I was unsatisfied as a customer. He basically implied that I didn't have a right to determine if they knew what they were doing or not. I am going to report them to the Better Business Bureau. read more

I spoke and paid deposit on Thursday. Saturday the movers were several hours late and the movers called to let me know they would be at my residence within 2 hours. The movers called back and stated that they WANTED ME TO PAY FOR ANOTHER MOVER THAT THEY HAD WITH THEM BECAUSE THE MOVERS DID NOT BELIEVE THEY COULD DO THE MOVE WITHOUT ANOTHER PERSON!!
