I've had dental phobia since I was a child (I'm in my mid-40s) and I hadn't been to a dentist for more than a decade due to a nightmarish experience with my previous dentist. With that being said, I noticed some bleeding from the gums during the past few months and knew that I had to go see a dentist. I felt miserable and terrified. After doing some research on Yelp/Google for dentists, the name that kept popping up with the best reviews in the area was Dr. Etue at Complete Dentistry. I was extremely hesitant at first to call/email but went ahead (gotta take that first step for a better smile!). The staff that I talked to on the phone were pleasant and understanding. When the time came for my appointment, right when I walked through the door, they greeted me with a smile and made me feel welcome. As they took me to my chair, Kabir (hopefully I spelled his name correctly), one of the hygienist, was hands down the most approachable and understanding staff member that I have ever experienced at any dental clinics that I've been to in the past. Honestly, every dental clinic should have someone like him. He asked me about my past experiences, explained what needed to be done along with the procedures, etc - basically, he wanted to make sure that I understood everything and not to be afraid and to definitely ask questions. He listened to what my worries/fears were - he never made me feel embarrassed nor belittled. I was starting to build trust. After being given nitrous oxide (never been offered that before - it really helped calm my nerves) and numbing my gums, I didn't feel a thing during the cleaning procedure. Kabir would check frequently to ask if I was doing fine. He proceeded to gently and carefully remove all the yuckiness from my teeth and gums. Once the cleaning was complete, I was able to talk to Dr. Etue, who was equally friendly, approachable, and understanding. He really emphasized on building trust between his patients and himself/staff. I really appreciate that! My next few appointments will be to tackle what's under the gum line but strangely enough, I'm excited to get it done! When they asked me how was the experience, I smiled big and said that "it was wonderful!" and I actually meant it. Thank you Dr. Etue and staff for coming to Edmonds. Dr. Etue IS as good as it gets. My daughter had a dental emergency on a Sunday when the practice was closed. I called the emergency number and was quite surprised when Dr. Etue himself called me back in a short period of time. He answered all the questions I had and made sure I was comfortable with handling the situation at home. He had me bring my daughter in that following morning to squeeze her into the schedule, took care of her problem, and then gave me some great parental advice to help me out in the future. He even called me back a few days later on a weekday evening to make sure the issue was resolved and that I was pleased with the results of the care from his staff, which I most certainly was. I am admittedly a "tough customer" to please, only because I am jaded now that people are only 'in it' to make a buck - but Dr. Etue genuinely cares about his patients and especially children, whether he's getting paid or not. His staff is extremely nice and work to make you as comfortable as possible, which is a huge plus when you have a child that is usually scared to death of a cold, sterile dentistry office. My daughter was instantly calmed and is actually eager to go back for her check-ups. Dr. Etue and his team are amazing. Going to dentist is not usually fun but I was really impressed with the professionalism and positive attitude in this office. I mostly worked with Dr. Etue and Kaitlin and I really liked that they both explained me about each step they were taking during my procedures. They both cared deeply about my pain level and helped me through uncomfortable procedures. They even called me at home to check if I am doing alright (I am not kidding)! I struggled with my teeth all my life but never found a dentist like Dr. Etue. He listens and understands his patients and is always open for questions. He actually asked me several times at each visit if I have any questions for him. He is accommodating to his patient's appointment needs and will bend backwards to make sure that time is available. I've never had a problem getting in on my schedule. Darlene at the front office put together several cost plans for me - trying to get the most out of my insurance. I had the same dentist for 14 years. I switched dentist because of Complete Dentistries offering of free whitening. Once I met Dr Etue and his front desk girls, Darlene & Amber, and also the back staff especially Kaitlyn. I felt very comfortable with my teeth being in their care. I asked Dr Etue about his Six Months Smile program, which is short term braces for adults. Dr Etue brought to my attention that I had a breathing issue that needed attention first, and would not start the Six Months Smile program until I saw a ear nose throat specialist. I immediately was shocked that a Dr would take such pride in a patients teeth and health to recommend his advice, before taking my money and just starting a project that would fail in the future. I had a big chip on the tooth and didn't really have a preferred dental doctor. I called many dental offices near my house to get treatment the same day. I was afraid that I needed to do the Root Canal because I was in pain. Complete dentistry front desk staff were so kind to fit me on the schedule the same day, and do the crown right away. Luckily, I didn't have to get the root canal done. The assistants were very nice and kind. Dr Lin was very gentle with the needles and I barely felt the needle penetration. Also, this office offer the nitrous for the treatment. It did help me to stay as calm as it is possible when you are on the dental chair. read more

Complete Dentistry has excellent staff! The office girls are always so welcoming, helpful and remind me of my appointments. Dr. Etue cares so much about his patients and makes me feel comfortable actually coming to the dentist. He doesn't rush and is always super friendly. I never went to the dentist before I started going here but they have truly changed my perspective on dental hygiene and how important it actually is. The office is always so clean and they keep technology and everything up to date. I wouldn't recommend any other dental office other than Complete Dentistry!!! I have been a patient of Dr. Etue for the past 5 years. I have had multiple and complicated dental issues and he has always met the challenge and fix it. My two front teeth were crooked, he straightened with veneers and the process was fast and no pain at all. Now i love my smile. The staff are very friendly and they keep the positive attitude. The prices are fair and they can let you do payment plan if you are broke like me:). They are kids friendly too. They have toys and crayons for kids. I would recommend Dr. Etue to anyone. read more

I started coming here about a year ago and have had a few appointments since, two cleanings and a few fillings. Each time that I have come in I have been greeted nicely by the front office and the other assistants as well as the doctor. I saw two doctors, and both are nice but soft spoken. They explained to me why I need the fillings and did not talk down to me about my hygiene like dentists did in the past. Have had no problems since coming here. read more
