The nature of the issue and the repairs needed were thoroughly explained to me. Finally, the price was very fair. I had taken my car to a dealership to check pricing and to diagnose the problem and I had a far different experience. I then went to Pit Row based in part in the Yelp reviews. I've been bringing my cars here for eight years now and can't say enough good about Scott and his crew. Had to run over today about a new noise and Kelly as always answered with a smile. She suggested I swing by and have Scott take a listen. Of course you know the minute you get to your mechanic the car just purrs. So I'm on the listen for when it decides to act up again and then I'll call back. What I love best about this place is that I really feel like family here. My dad is a mechanic but he lives too far away now to help with minor issues. Scott has been nothing but honest with me on what needs to be repaired and what might be coming up soon. He never pushed unneeded repairs or extra costs. He's an honest mechanic, which is darn near impossible to find these days.

A couple of weeks later, McDonald VW completed some recall work on the car and reported that the transmission was leaking. They recommended that XYZ be done to the car. I quickly called Platinum Auto, and Trent immediately offered to have me bring the car back in so they could put it back on the lift and inspect it. I brought the car in, and they immediately put it on the lift for inspection. They quickly alleviated my concerns when they told me the transmission wasn't leaking at all. Trent even took the time to watch the video McDonald sent me and almost laughed at what they were trying to claim was a transmission leak. I will certainly continue to come back.

They repaired a radiator on our car for $950. The car had the same issue a week later, overheating, and died on the roadside. They then stated both head gaskets needed to be replaced and quoted us $6000. I called our mechanic in Conifer, and they would have only charged us $400 for radiator repair and $2000 to replace head gaskets. Pro Auto Care is what gives auto shops a bad name by overcharging their customers. I highly recommend Clarkson Automotive in Conifer. I realize it's a drive, but worth the distance. They are honest and ethical.
