I came into Christian Brothers Automotive on Town Center with some pretty serious engine trouble,…read moreand the team there took great care of me from start to finish. Will helped me every step of the way--he was knowledgeable, transparent, and took the time to explain my options so I felt comfortable with the decision. I ended up not going with the full engine swap, but the entire process was handled professionally and efficiently. The communication throughout everything was excellent, and I really appreciated how helpful and honest Will was. Overall, I'm very pleased with the service and the experience. I'll definitely be coming back to Christian Brothers Automotive for any future automotive needs. Highly recommend! -Shaffer

I brought my car in for a stalling issue. The initial diagnosis cost $775 to replace a battery…read morecable and add a ground screw, which felt very high. Afterward, I was told the car had multiple oil and coolant leaks and was quoted an additional $3,500 for repairs. On a car worth about $4,000, this didn't make financial sense. When I declined the extensive repairs, there was no discussion of smaller, interim solutions or things I could try myself; the only suggestion was financing the full amount. The immediate next step was being asked to retrieve my vehicle. The shop was extremely busy, and I left with the impression that they prioritize large, high-cost jobs. Disappointed with the experience and lack of flexible solutions, I will not be returning. Update to my previous review: It's been two weeks since I picked up my vehicle, and I have not observed any oil on my driveway. This seems inconsistent with what I was told about the severity of the oil leak issue during my visit. I have checked the oil level multiple times and it appears to remain at the same level. After posting my initial review, I received several phone calls from the shop owner requesting that I modify my review. I eventually asked that these calls stop. Service details: I paid $180 for initial diagnostics, during which I was told there was an 80% probability that the problem was my battery cables. I then paid $235.19 for new battery cables, but it did not resolve the issue. A subsequent diagnosis costing $359.98 identified a bad ground wire, which was then repaired by tapping in a new wire. Additional observations from my service experience: When I collected my vehicle, I noticed what appeared to be a black, grease-like substance on the exterior door handle that was not present when I dropped it off. I also discovered that the front emblem was no longer attached to my vehicle. When I inquired about this inside the shop, staff located the emblem and handed it to me and told me it fell off when they closed the hood. I check my fluids every month, this has never happened to me. There was no offer to repair the damage.

First, the customer service was excellent; prompt, responsive and understanding of my issue. Second, the work was done very efficiently and finished exactly on time. The nature of the issue and the repairs needed were thoroughly explained to me. Finally, the price was very fair. I had taken my car to a dealership to check pricing and to diagnose the problem and I had a far different experience. I then went to Pit Row based in part in the Yelp reviews. Very pleased with the service at Pit Row. This is a small, local business that does great work. I will definitely return for my future service work.

I found Pit Row and Scott after going to Marin Collision for some body work on my car. I had asked…read morethe owner of Marin if he knew an honest reputable mechanic and he suggested I call Scott. I've been bringing my cars here for eight years now and can't say enough good about Scott and his crew. Had to run over today about a new noise and Kelly as always answered with a smile. She suggested I swing by and have Scott take a listen. Of course you know the minute you get to your mechanic the car just purrs. So I'm on the listen for when it decides to act up again and then I'll call back. What I love best about this place is that I really feel like family here. My dad is a mechanic but he lives too far away now to help with minor issues. Scott has been nothing but honest with me on what needs to be repaired and what might be coming up soon. He never pushed unneeded repairs or extra costs. He's an honest mechanic, which is darn near impossible to find these days.

Their knowledge and thoroughness really reassured us that the work was being done properly and that they were genuinely committed to investigating and reporting back. They also walked us through which items made the most sense to address first based on labor costs, helping us avoid bigger expenses down the road. They took great care of both us and the car; I got it back in tip‑top shape, plus they surprised me with a small detail as a token of appreciation... and a new ducky friend. Thank you so much for being a trusted shop in the community. We truly appreciate you!

The last time I brought vehicle in, I was told rack and pinion needed to be replaced because it was leaking fluid and boots were warn. Turns out, boots either were cut or it is possible, due to the age of my vehicle, boots may have cracked on their own; however, system is not leaking, they just over filled the power steering fluid. It stopped leaking after the over fill went away. I got a second opinion and job not needed at this time. A few months before that my brakes needed to be replaced. They replaced them with after market parts, which sometimes is good, it in my case, the brakes did not turn out okay. Brakes were making a horrible noise after the replacement. However, they did make it right and replaced the parts again and they are fine now. Honestly goes a long way with me. If they can't be honest, I can't afford the time having to take my vehicle back numerous times for work not done correctly or if I am told to fix something that is not broken.
