He sounded so disappointed I wasn't into buying, I mention the 8GB GTX 3070 I have and some high latency DDR4. He just sticks to the ram and says he doesn't buy it, then I reiterated the 3070-- you could tell he perked up. "Oh! You have a 3070?!" I tell him, "Yes, that is what I said." I ask his going rate, he just wants me to throw out a number-- mind you, I had no idea this is the owner (apparently). I ask again, his rate-- he wants to tell me that before he can offer he has to run tests and the tests could in fact take days. Days?! Now, I've ran a shop like this before. I have a background in CIS. I know the tests necessary, a benchmark, a processing overview to check for spikes-- simple things. Never takes, DAYS. I ask, "When was the last time you bought a 3070?" He replied, "a few days ago." I ask him how much he gave, he told me, "100 bucks." I admittedly scoff, I wanted more like 225, I ask him to meet me in the middle at 150. He wants to tell me more about his tests. I inquire further on these, "tests." He is now coping a attitude, wants to let me know he is the owner and at this point he isn't interested and he wouldn't be, "dropping the things he needs to do to run a business." Well, I'll tell ya what, I wouldn't want to shop at a place like this and though I wouldn't be still willing to sell to them-- nah, nah.. Not with that attitude and such a pretentious way to talk to potential customers. Shoppers be warned, and I'd recommend if you go to buy-- ask to test products for a couple of days before paying.

Alex was available at the Windows desk. He said "Yeah, this are great! You can watch DVDs your stash of movies you've collected, audio CDs and of course read and write files from your computer or laptop and best of all, enable you to install legacy software on your new laptops ( which no longer have CD drives) Alex picked out this LG Ultra Slim Portable DVD Writer (which does it all) for only $24.99 such a deal! I'm sure I'm going love it! Alex is a wiz. This will be my Go To Best Buy in the Portland Metro Area

Picking up my work laptop. Best Buy's app and website are NOT friends…read more At the beginning of September, I started a new job. My boss ordered me a laptop from Best Buy. He is in LA, and I'm in PDX. So he ordered online, put me as the pickup person and boom. So he didn't have any idea of where I live, and sent the order to the Tualatin BB at first. I asked him to change it to Cedar Hills since I was right down the street at a baseball game with my son. So he did. Now let me say, when you order online, it says "pickup within 2 hours." Yeah NO. You are FAR better going IN the store and buying anything than using the app or website. The order information NEVER updated anything online. Never showed anything but "order placed." So after more than 4 hours I showed up and they said it wasn't ready...blah blah blah give us 15 minutes and we will get it. So that's the FIRST experience. Now to this past Wednesday. I ordered a co-worker a new laptop using our boss' credit card. I ordered it to pickup at this location because I was going to the nearby Umpqua bank for a business deposit. I waited 3 hours and showed up, again no update on the website for order status. Just like the first time. This time the manager tells me that the order wasn't placed because it was flagged for their fraud team. I was like okay why?? Because the order was placed by Dan M but Martina C is listed for pickup. I said I can verify his card #, social, drivers license etc AND I said OR y'all can just call him. So she said oh okay they'll probably call him will you let him know? So I text him that they'd likely call him etc and what was going on. The WEIRD thing was that she checked my ID and said to come back in 10 minutes. So I wait 15, she said "OH I just put your order up front!" And takes me to the checkout. Then she asked if I had the order number (well duh yes I did because I gave it to YOU the first time I popped in today to pickup my order..." And she covered up on the laptop box where I assume the order number was. (which felt weird and pointless to me since 1- I'd already given it to her, and 2 - didn't y'all verify with Dan?) I guess it was worth it because I got my co-worker a really good deal on a nice Lenovo laptop. It's CRAZY that laptops are catering more to gamers than workers now but whatever. The laptop is NICE and I'm glad that despite the annoying sync of an order online to a store it's a good deal.

I had my phone sitting on the wall upstairs and it was knocked off and took quite a spill. It likely did more than the "military grade drop test" that most cases boast protecting. This time I full on destroyed the screen. And having a job now that wasn't okay. I needed to get this fixed ASAP. I was really worried because despite having Apple Care + I thought this is a several hundred dollar repair. But it was a $0 repair. $0. YES!!! Winner winner apple dinner. Glad I invested in that especially since I'm a hot mess and constantly breaking my glass. Well at least I invested in some better cases and I'm TRYING to be more careful. So hopefully I won't be back anytime soon.

No matter the location, they're never easy to access. The stores are always jam packed full. And there's not a single staff member that is easy to get a hold of. They're either non-existent, busy talking to other customers, or chatting with each other. Or you finally speak to an employee but they add you to a waitlist or have to find someone else to help you. Theoretically you can book an appointment, but what's the point of having an open store if everything needs an appointment? You can't just pick up a product and go buy it at a cashier. I think their stores were very innovative when they first opened, but they haven't scaled with the popularity of the iPhone. Instead of buying at Apple, I'm planning to go to Costco or Best Buy for a slightly better purchasing experience.
