He recommended I increase my memory, replace the battery and get a solid state hard drive. His pricing came in at under $400.00. He also cleaned the interior and tightened the hinge for the screen. I love the result! This machine should go on now for at least two more years. It's like having a new machine! I do not live anywhere near Portland ComputerWorks, but it was Joseph's appraisal, manner and trustworthiness that made me leave my personal grid. I won't go anywhere else in the future.

Jim gives a brief guesstimate of what he thinks may be the problem. He's very up front by saying it could be more or less but he won't do anything without calling me with the diagnosis and reviewing the details of what he will fix. I dropped my laptop off on Thursday afternoon and it was ready the very next day. I have been working with Jim since 2012. I was away from the area last year and I took my machine to Geek Squad. I regret the whole experience. They had my laptop for 2 weeks, told me it would be about $90 and ended up over$300. They gave me a big folder with paper explaining what they fixed but I couldn't understand it. That's what I appreciate with Jim. Next time I won't sweetest the 40 min drive to Beaverton.
