I was looking for a computer on OfferUp and ended up finding a add for this store. I really needed the computer that they happened to be selling so I thought what could it hurt and took a drive to check it out. The computer was exactly what I was in need of at the time and the staff was very helpful and friendly. I just recently came back and had the same great experience buying a second computer. The thing I like about Computer World is that they have a decent inventory of used computers to choose from and they charge realistic prices and give you real answers if you ask them a question. Most people selling used computers either don't know anything or want way way too much money for what they have, and then you have to go meet a stranger who knows where. If you are looking for a used pc or mac I recommend giving these guys a chance because I'm happy that I did. read more

AWFUL service. I paid $400 to get my MacBook screen replaced and a couple months later, after barely using my computer and being extra careful with it (because I didn't want it to break and have to pay another $400), one of the connectors stopped working past a 45 degree angle so I can barely open my screen. I took it in and they said that it is a wear and tear issue, which means that they messed something up during the new screen installation because wear and tear issues don't happen that fast, and I know for a fact I didn't do anything to damage it. Then they told me that their technician didn't work with them anymore. They took down my info and said they would call me when they got a new technician. I called a multitude of times when they were open and they didn't answer a single call (probably because they had my number and didn't want to fix their mistake for free). I went in 4 more times over the period of 2 months and had to have my mom and girlfriend call to see if they had a new technician because I couldn't get ahold of them. They told both of them that they had a new technician who was available and to come in with their "broken computer screens," the same issue I was having. I went back in after they told my mom their technician was not busy and would be available at 2. I asked for their technician and he conveniently wasn't in. I then spoke to the same guy I spoke to the last 5 times and he said that the technician "doesn't do Apple products," which is ridiculous. He then tried to blame the situation on me and said that they could not help me, even though the whole thing is their fault. TAKE YOUR SERVICE ELSEWARE AND STAY AWAY!!! read more

My main computer I use for work died on a Sunday afternoon. I called this place and they where friendly and told me to come by. I went by and dropped off my main work computer and explained how important this was to get it up and running. Well the all in one graphics card failed and as it was an older unit I decided to just go ahead and upgrade the unit. I rarely write reviews but people should definitely avoid this place. Came in and agreed in a price for a pc and when I received the invoice it was 25% higher than what we agreed upon. To top it off he gave me an interest rate of 169% without disclosing or letting me know. Did not review anything on the contract with me and signed my part of the contract. Computerworld Huntington Beach is the absolute worst and fraudulent company you can take your computer to! They picked it up Monday at 1:30 returned it today Friday at 11:30 and here we are four hours later and it shut down randomly which was the initial problem, not only did they not fix the problem when I went to activate windows after restarting they used a home addition activation key and not a professional one so it no longer works, called them and they basically told me to pound sand, don't ever use them! This is an edited review. My original problem was they had my SSD for cloning for 5 days and at the end they couldn't deliver. The manager contacted me afterwards and we had a long discussion on what happened, he was very open and listened to my side carefully and promised they will make sure these instances will not happen again. DONT TRUST THESE GUYS!!!! Less than 1 star would be appropriate. I needed a laptop to run my golf simulator, nothing serious cozz im running it now on a cheap windows laptop with just a built in intel graphics chipset and it runs. I bought a I7 16gb with a nvidia card. "Anthony" was nice enough to deliver it (yes I paid him) and we both thought it would work well. It didnt... I spent the night updating drivers etc but it just would not output the video to my projector. My computer got stolen and I kind of wanted to replace it and another one needs updating. I have been wanting to go to this place but have been putting it of for months . I happened to saw it today so I thought I should go in or else I would never go. I stepped inside and asked about the computers on display. The guy told me doesn't have tablet computers when there are several on display. He told me nothing in the store is for sale. I have never encountered such awful computer salesman in my entire life. I just can't believe what I heard from this guy. Is this guy the owner or something , is that why he thinks he can get away with mistreating customers however he wants. I brought in a computer a while back for service because it would no longer boot. I brought the machine to CW in hopes they could tell me whether it was the power supply or the mother board. Upon bringing in the machine and leaving it in their custody for diagnosis, I was not given a receipt for the machine, no notes were taken other than a phone# to call me back which never happened. They had my machine for 10+ days and did I not get anything in the way of a diagnosis or quote for repair. Seems like they are more interested in selling machines than providing service. read more
