I had a great experience with Jeff over at Comstock Plumbing. My husband and I called other plumbers in the area, including Chris Rogers Plumbing that flaked on us yesterday for a leak that we had. I heard of this company from a family friend of my mother in law. This family friend deals with a lot of contractors and it seems that she would know what she is talking about. This company seems to be a family company. I've had Frank come over to clear some pipes and make some repairs and I was very happy with the speed, work, and prices. Another employee, Greg was just as qualified when he came over to install a whole house filter. Finally a reputable plumber! I called Jeff and told him we had a leak and they were at our home within 10 minutes to investigate where the leak was coming from. We've been through several plumbers in the past 2 years due poor workmanship by the builder and multiple unqualified people claiming to have experience in plumbing. I should have written this sooner because it happened months before the pandemic. I had used Comstock for small repairs so when I needed my dishwasher, sink and refrigerator re-installed after a renovation, I called Jeff. Several months after the job the dishwasher began leaking. A friend recommended Bastanchury Plumbing so I called them. Tony came and when he pulled the bottom panel off he showed me that the panel had been attached with a pointed wood screw and it poked a hole in something plastic that water flowed through and it was leaking and could not be fixed or replaced. He said he knew Jeff and I should call him and he should make it right. Jeff begrudgingly came with his partner. At first he blamed me for not having the correct screw. I told him I would have gone to Home Depot to get it if he had told me but it was his job to use the correct parts. He was angry but asked me what I thought would be the right thing to do. I asked him to tell me. He said he would pay two thirds and I would pay one third of the replacement dishwasher. I was to call him and he would bring the money. He sarcastically said "don't go buy the most expensive one!" I loved my Maytag dishwasher which still worked perfectly, even though it was a few years old. I did a lot of research and finally settled for a Kitchen Aid. (not the top of the line). Weeks went by and I did't hear from him, so I left a message that I would split it 50/50. I have never heard from him. He also dropped the top, right corner of my sink when installing and it has rusted through. I showed it to him when he was here and he sneered "I suppose you want me to replace that to." He was so nasty, I just said no. Jeff, I think I have waited long enough for you to follow through on your promise. read more

My husband was referred to Comstock Plumbing from a friend. Our sink was broken in the kitchen and needed to be replaced. He actually fit us in pretty quickly, which was nice. He installed the new faucet pretty quickly as well. After turning on the water, and leaving our house, I realized that our hot water was not working any longer. It worked fine with the old faucet. So my husband called, and text for weeks to get him back out to complete the job he started, since we paid him for his services. We don't have a dishwasher and have to wash everything by hand, so without hot water, we cannot clean or disinfect any of our dishes. My husband hasn't gotten a return text or phone call back after several attempts. We have been boiling water to soak dishes in, and it's become quite a nuisance! It's impossible to keep dishes clean now without hot water. My husband had to call another plumber to complete the job that was not completed by Comstock Plumbing. Terrible customer service!!! Do yourself a favor, and call a different plumber! This one sucks!! read more

I was referred to Comstock by another plumber who had a few too many projects on his calendar. I called Jeff and left a message. He called me right back within minutes. I had another question about the model of water heater I wanted. Again, within minutes he calls me back and says he can get what I want and be there tomorrow. He was running a bit late and called to say he was behind but on his way. I get it, I know how that goes. I just appreciated the fact that he called to let me know he was on his way. He and his partner Brian knocked out the job in about an hour. You definitely could see these guys knew what they were doing and had probably done it a thousand times before. We are in need of a family plumber in Fullerton as ours retired a few years ago. When I saw a plumber visiting across the street about a year ago I walked over and got the contact name. Jeff seemed very nice and competent. I subsequently asked my neighbors and they said Comstock is the best So I felt confident that we had someone to call the next time a problem arose. Recently our HOA sent out a write up within our newsletter about problems with pinhole leaks in our complex. Repiping is probably the solution. I looked at Comstock's reviews which are excellent and their website, which says they do re piping and called about three weeks ago to set up an appointment. I had a very nice exchange with Lily. We set up an appointment for the following Monday and I asked her if I could fax her the write up from the news letter for background. She gave me her fax number and I sent it over. When Monday came I received a voice message that Jeff would not be able to make it after all, no reason was given, and that she hadn't received my fax, would I please send it and call her. She said they would review it and we would go from there. I resent it and left a message that I had and asked for a call back. I didn't hear back . A few days later, I discovered water under one of my cabinets and left a voicemail asking for a return call.. I didn't provide details but naturally thought I could do that when she called me back. There was no return call. In fact I've never heard from this company since the voicemail cancelling the initial appointment. We did call another plumber about the water leak. It turned out to be our main drain upstairs to downstairs. They came out right away, diagnosed the problem and promptly fixed it, thank heavens. It was quite a job. Re piping is still in our future . Oh well, can't figure it all out. Maybe there was a family problem and they weren't able to return their calls. Maybe she thought the subsequent call was about the re piping, wasn't interested in t he job and just didn't return my call. I'll never know but my experience is inconsistent with the other reviews and my neighbor's high praise. read more
