They also reached out the day of, letting us know they could arrive a few hours earlier than projected. The 2 guys worked diligently to locate the issue, using moisture sensing devices, a wireless camera and using their phones to communicate to each other from the different locations of our house. They also made other adjustments to things they found needed to be tightened up during the process. Carlos came out within 2 days and did a thorough job. He provided video and location mapping of our sewer pipe all the way to the city line. Then, Elbert came a week later for hydrojet to clear small roots that had invaded the pipe. He was able to show me live video of the cleared pipe. Elbert was also nice enough to look at my other needs and provided estimates for the work within a day. Carlos came back a few days later to install a pressure regulator for the house and escape valve for the water heater. They are efficient, on time, and very responsive to calls, texts, and emails. He came in the house with shoe covers (being very respectful!) as the shower is freshly refinished and he made sure he cleaned up and not damage the area while repair. I submitted a Yelp request to get a quote on replacing a kitchen faucet. Within minutes, I heard back from several plumbers. All who were Yelp approved had good reviews, but only Elbert from Hotshot Plumbing actually answered my question and gave me a quote. All the other responses were vague or just offered an appointment without mentioning price. After agreeing to meet up, he texted me several times to clarify details. He gave me an actual appointment time, as opposed to a 4 hour window and texted me before arriving so that I knew almost to the minute when he would be here. Elbert was so considerate and answered all of my questions. He put on clean booties and made sure to clean up after himself. He found the source of my problem, which was different from what I suspected. When we needed replacement parts, he offered to go buy the parts and brought back the receipt, charging me only for what he spent on the part. I ended up asking him to do 2 jobs instead of just the 1 because I felt taken care of as opposed to just a job or dollar signs. When he came back the second time, he brought workers he was training. He made sure they wore booties and were polite, too. He supervised them and gave them advise on how to do things, even stepping in to do certain parts himself, as well as check that everything worked. He really seemed to take pride in his work and business. What impressed me the most, though, was the follow-up. That evening, he sent a text asking how everything was working, making sure that everything worked exactly the way I had hoped and offered to come out to make sure it was perfect, if it wasn't. Hot Shot Plumbing did it again. This is my second encounter with them. Backstory: my water heater (Rheem) stopped working, so I contacted Elbert. He responded within minutes. Elbert came the same day and ordered parts for the water heater. When the part arrived, Elbert couldn't make it due to being stuck at another job, so he sent Mike and Albert instead. Mike comes across as a no-BS kind of guy. He's serious but funny at the same time--very straightforward and chill. Albert was assisting Mike. Pretty chill guy as well. Mike changed the parts and was very clear about his assessment on the water heater. He laid out expectations about what might happen. I already knew that the water heater was old and we were basically hoping that the part (under warranty) would fix it. Elbert and Mike pretty much confirmed what I had read on the forums. So far, the heater is working at the moment. I wouldn't be surprised if it fails again since the heater is old and really needs to be replaced. If it does end up needing replacement, I'd definitely give them my business and let them handle it. I will recommend them over and over again. read more

We had water leaking from the ceiling, but the pipes had been replaced several years ago. Found out that the upstairs tub needed to be re-caulked and sealed with silicone. I like that he didn't try to cut the drywall up to be repaired by someone else, like a previous plumber wanted to do. The next morning, with an assistant it took half an hour to fix the problem.
