Wow! Simply amazing! This is a review specifically for Don. I was stalled on the Bay Bridge going East. (I had just picked up my car from my mechanic and was assured it was fixed...nope). I was sitting in my car for 30 minutes waiting for the Bridge Emergency services. They never showed. I had never realized how scary that would be - people merging around you at high speeds for a half an hour is absolutely nerve wracking. And then out of the blue, the absolute calmest, sweetest, capable man in a tow truck pulled in front of me, hooked me up, and drove me to the nearest mechanic. Just want to send an A++++++++ Yelp shout out for the driver Giovanni at CTW, He was awesome, was polite and worked VERY hard to get me back on the road. Today, it being Thanksgiving, is obviously a busy travel day, and thereby a busy call day for tow trucks. Sadly I found myself calling AAA for roadside assistance (who also get 5 stars as they were fast, polite and helpful). They quickly dispatched a tow truck to my location, despite the holiday. Plus what I thought would have to be a tow to an un-open service destination turned out to be only low water in my radiator ( I know, I know no lectures please...). Because after a visual inspection he found no leaks/cracks in my radiator and began filling it with water to see if it'd keep temp down & hold fluids. All this, so I could make it home temporarily until I could get a prof mechanic to take a look after the holiday & prop radiator coolant into it. Unfortunately we were a a 7/11 gas station which had a very dysfunctional water dispenser (& here's a tip: don't let gas stations try and charge you for air/water it's illegal in CA) which literally came out at less-than a snails pace. This led Giovanni to improvise & he found a bunch of 12oz water bottles, went inside several times, filling each one repeatedly & thereby slowly filling my radiator (not his fault) All the while he was agreeable, nice, polite & had a smile on his face. To me this is why it's 5 stars for CTW, and as I see from my fellow Yelpers, 99% agree that these guys who work here provide GREAT service. Keep up the up the good work! :-) read more

Bought a "barn find" el Camino that was located near Sacramento. Needless to say, it was a journey to get it towed home to Pacheco. I called around and got prices from 6 or 7 tow companies, and though concord tow wasn't the cheapest (they were the 2nd cheapest), after reading their reviews I decided to go with them. My el Camino was about 80 miles away, and when I called to schedule my tow, they gave me no issues or hassles about going out that far. The driver Jovamy actually beat us to the vehicle and was professional and extremely helpful the entire time. The car was not a simple grab, but he did everything he could and took extremely good care of me and the car. Thanks Concord Tow and Jovamy! My son-in-law was at the center divider of 680 Southbound @ Olympic when his Mercedes just completely stopped without warning. Knowing the urgency, Robert tended to the car ASAP. AAA dispatched this pathetic company for a service call needed for a battery jumpstart. Call was initiated at 1030 pm. ETA was 1110 pm. Then around 11 I get notification that someone won't be out until 1230 am. Apparently my driver was stopped by CHP for a highway incident. Ok, I understand, but is there only 1 driver??!!! Then at 12:15 am I get notification that the driver has arrived. He did not! Then notification that service call was complete. Wow, really?! I needed to get my vehicle towed from the dealership to a repair shop. AAA had told me that it would take roughly around 90 minutes to get to me. Luckily Tuan from Tow World got there in roughly 20 minutes so the wait was non existent. Not only did he get to me immediately but I'm not kidding he was probably one of the nicest gentleman I've ever met. I would've thought that it was his car the way he took care of mine. I am writing this on my fathers behalf, as I was not actually there and my dad couldn't figure out this yelp thing.... :) Shawn was the driver that was able to pick him up in walnut creek. Somehow his truck had a break caliper bracket lose a mounting bolt and turned his situation into a semi worrisome ordeal, none the less decided to call AAA. Shawn came out in about 10 mins and was able to get us going in another couple of minutes. The entire ride home seemed to take about another 10 minutes (actually took 50 mins), to get from Walnut Creek to San Jose, but mainly because we were able to talk the entire time. I can't say enough about how grateful I am for the assistance provided me by driver Jake of Concord Tow World. Long story short, my 22-yr old classic Jeep (stolen during the Christmas holidays) was found down a ravine in Martinez. Getting it back up on pavement was daunting due both to the distance from the road as well as the heavy rains we had experienced. Jake, flawlessly, got the vehicle up on his truck in minutes. When we arrived at my destination, Jake discovered that the vehicle was completely out of gas with a dead battery. Rather than simply saying, "Here you go pal. Don't forget to get some gas," Jake turned his truck around and drove to a nearby fuel station and helped me fill the tank. He then jumped the battery before departing, leaving me with an idling automobile, full of gas. If you've never been victimized by having a vehicle stolen, it might be hard to understand the absolute helplessness and vulnerability with which it leaves you. Short version: Bruce the tow truck driver was my hero today. Long version: it's 100 degrees outside when I park my car in downtown Martinez and a Good Samaritan tells me my tire is flat. I call AAA and when I don't know if I have locking lug nuts they say no worries - they will send a tow truck that can change my tire or tow me if the lug nuts lock and I don't have a key. In much less than the quoted time, Bruce arrived in a massive tow truck that barely fit on the narrow city street. I tell him flat tire and he is confused because AAA told him it was just a quick 10 mile tow. Poor guy was on his way home and agreed to take one last easy job. Kinda embarrassed, he told me he doesn't do tires because of his bad back (and did I mention it's 100 degrees?!!!). And Bruce is clearly a veteran tow driver ... not a millennial by any stretch of the imagination. He immediately sees that I don't have locking lug nuts (good to know) so there is no way to justify a tow. He tried to call and find someone else but there wasn't anyone available at what is now the start of the afternoon commute. So he changed my tire. And smiled. And told me to get in the car so I could sit with the air conditioning on. And was done in 10 minutes. And still smiled when he got my signature. And told me with genuine sincerity to have a good rest of my day. I told him he was my hero and he laughed, saying he was glad to be someone's hero today.
