Epic work done by the Concrete Visions team. We had an uneven staircase leading up to our front door that trapped water at the top and left puddles anytime it was wet outside. Plus, our driveway was cracked and buckling from water and age. A few contractors came out but none inspired confidence until I met Nick. He was great, with ideas and was easy to work with. He figured out all the math for the measurements and slope, walked me through the process, advised me to move a bunch of plants because concrete work involves big equipment + workers that are probably not going to notice my delicate posies (he was right). The whole job took just 4 days and was amazing to watch. On day 5 the foreman came to install the lights and clean-up but ran into an issue with parts for the lights and said he'd be back once he had the parts. About a week later the lighting and railing were installed. We were away but got home at dusk and the finished project was a marvel, just beautiful to look at. Such an improvement. Nick and Jordan are both very nice guys and I hired Concrete Visions to do my backyard. I had a good experience with them up until the time when the job was complete. They did a very poor job on the color and ignored calls to fix it. While most of the job is fine there are several areas that are much darker than they should be and it totally detracts from the overall appearance of my backyard. After calling and sending them pictures I received no call back or response of any kind. We've been working to get our front yard concrete replaced for a couple years. One of those projects we just kept putting off. The stairs were all broken from tree roots, etc. We had multiple bids for the project, and also provided a 3D rendering of what it would look like when completed. Jordan came out, and discussed the plans with us. We didn't have exact measurements, so we had to work things out, and he was really helpful getting everything sorted out. The whole project took about a week and a half, so we got to know the whole team. They are very professional, and clearly enjoy the hard work they perform each day. They start early and work late. We needed some major concrete work done on our backyard so we contacted several companies specializing in concrete. We were pleasantly surprised that Concrete Visions were reasonable in pricing considering their work looked fancy from their website & brochure. Note of caution. It's nice that they have a general line with a live person to answer the phones. However, relaying messages from front office staff and the owner is a challenge. Our original quote took longer than promised and we had to call several times before receiving it. With that said once we decided to go with them they showed up promptly at the scheduled time. The hardest part was getting scheduling down. Our entire back yard took about a week to complete & a bit longer for the fire pit due to ordering a special insert and grate. They actually recommended a different fire pit & explained their reasons why which we appreciated and loved. Concrete looks amazing! And we were even happier with the drains they installed so water would trickle away from the house. Once it rained it all went down the drains! A great sign of excellent work. We couldn't be happier and will contact them when we are ready to have our driveway and front yard re-done. Highly recommend! read more

Third update: After bringing the issues that I'm having to Nick's attention, along with photographic evidence, he stopped responding. He wouldn't even come out to look. I now have 16' of decking next to my pool coping that has risen 1/4" as of today, and it's still rising. My tile contractor asked how much gravel was installed under the decking. My contract specifies 2"-4". After removing all of Nick's pour in my front yard, I discovered that NO gravel was installed. My rebar was also sitting on the ground and not centered in the pour. This is something that I told Nick about repeatedly, and he assured me that he would resolve it. My contract specifies 2"-4" of gravel. A proper install on expansive soil should have 4"-6" on a pre-saturated base. I cannot say how much I regret doing business with this company. In all likelihood, my entire pool deck is going to have to be demolished and re-poured. This is going to destroy 1,400' of Travertine tile, newly installed landscaping and a new fence. To say that this has turned into a nightmare could not be anymore understated. read more

We wanted to tear out an existing concrete job and replace the patio in our back yard. We also had a side yard that needed concrete. We were looking at a patio area of 50' x 13' plus the side yard - this was no small job. We did our research checking licenses, online reviews, and costs of both concrete work and paver companies. We had several companies come out to give us an estimate. Both my husband and I were very impressed with Nick (owner of Concrete Visions) and the samples of work that he showed us. All of his license, bonds, and insurance were in order, and he had a very competitive bid. It should be noted that unlike other companies who give quotes on the spot, Nick had his office manager email us this quote 24 hours later. He took his time measuring everything, was very detailed in the notes - with his experience he should have been able to provide an accurate quote. Unfortunately, we now believe that Nick intentionally underbid the project because we paid over $7,000 in cost overruns, including paying for pipes that were broken during the construction. If a company has been in business for over 20 years, there shouldn't be that much difference between a quote and the final cost. We also should not have had to pay for the pipes broken by the contractor. The concrete also cracked two days after pour. We now have more cracks in this expensive patio than we did in the cheap patio that we had Concrete Visions remove. Before the work was completed, we got a written quote to have the concrete sealed. This could only be done thirty days after pouring as the concrete needed to cure. We began calling them 10 days prior to set up an appointment for sealing, but no one returned our call. When our call was returned, we were told that we needed an estimate from Nick. When we told the office manager that we had one, she couldn't comprehend that we had an estimate. The office manager then came back with a verbal quote to seal our job directly from Nick, that was over $1,000 more than our written estimate. After trying to get Concrete Visions out for over two weeks to finish the job they started by sealing the concrete, we went with another vendor. read more

Found this family owned business on Yelp. Our backyard has been put on hold for a few years now and a new patio is just what we needed to kick start the process. We contacted Concrete Visions and Nick was at our house in a few hours to look at our horrible excuse of a patio( he happen to be in the area.) Nick gave us a estimated quote which way less then what other companies offered. We decided to do stamped concrete with a reddish stain. I love it. It looks like large terra-cotta titles. They even tied in three down spouts into a French drain. We had them set up some Simpson post straps for our pergola which worked out great. Demo, setup, and pour in less than two days. Nick arrived for the initial appointment on-time, answered all of my questions, and explained available options ... different finishes, coloring, and so on ... without any pressure to buy something we didn't want. The next day, just as promised, he emailed a proposal and price, which we compared to other offers and then easily accepted ... not necessarily because of price (although it was right in the ballpark), but because of the professional attitude of Nick and the office staff I had talked with. As promised, Nick kept in contact by phone and even sent a picture of the finished job.
