Wish I could give this place a zero. Absolutely terrible service. We waited at the door for several minutes for someone to seat us. Eventually a man came to lead us to a table and he was snide and sarcastic. Threw the menus on the table. We sat down and waited another SEVERAL minutes, no one approached the table at all. The same man that seated us was now sitting at the bar chatting. We saw no one else working. We stood up to leave and the same man left his seat at the bar to ask us how our night was. Never offered drinks or chips. We asked if they were short staffed and if food would take a while. He looked offended? We got up to leave and she gave us a sarcastic - "have a great night" . 0/10. The taco I had,which I didn't finish, tasted like something from Taco Bell. The ice tea tasted like water with brown coloring. The service was no good either. Stopped in for lunch and got the lunch special which was 2 tacos, chips and a dip for $12.95- incredible deal. Food is really good, I love their house made chips and the house salsa and guacamole are my favorite. They have a lot of taco options, including 3 vegetarian tacos (that can be made vegan), and a chicken taco that when purchased donated a meal to feeding America. I would give way more than 5 stars if I could. I ordered from there so can't say much about the restaurant itself except that the order was ready on time and they were polite. This was the best bowl I've ever had in my life and I always order a bowl if that is an option. There were so many free options for toppings that it boggled the mind and they were all delicious. I ordered the bean and rice base with (I think) brisket and then who knows what but it was incredible. The waitress that took our order seemed upset and was very short and in a rush as if she didnt want to be there or had more important things to do, mind you there were 3 of us in our group and a couple a few tables away from us in the entire establishment. As for drinks i got a strawberry agua fresca and my coworker got the mango agua fresca. The mango tasted more like lemonade. Both drinks tasted like watered down margarita mixes than fresh fruit. As for food I ordered the carne asada burrito which was very bland even after drenching it in the pico de gallo they call salsa. I also got a blue dream taco which was decent but got the braised and confused taco which was kinda tasteless as well. While out making our regular flash good run, I decided to stop in somewhere for lunch, and Condado jumped out at me. For this trip, I ordered 3 Baja shrimp tacos and some guac. I gotta say, the guac blew me away!! The chips are thick. They'll stand up to the guac, and I was pleasantly surprised by pickled onions stop the guacamole. By and far, the best I've ever had. The Baja Shrimp tacos are out of this world!!! I wasn't sure what to expect, so I'll describe the flavor. The first bite was an explosion of lime, rice, pico and tortilla. Oh yes, and jicama coleslaw for an extra kick. The shrimp was lime-marinated, reminding me if their old shrimp ceviche tacos. Not sinus-draining spicy, but definitely a very tasty kick. Craving some Mexican and found Condado Tacos! Good, cheap, fast - tacos. College town scene with OSU close by. The restaurant has a cool vibe with high ceilings but it is a bit on the smaller side. Bathrooms are one single stall. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. She gave suggestions and explained how the happy hour worked. Chips and salsa are not complimentary which I always feel is a little sad to hear at any Mexican restaurant. We did an order of chips and salsa with two salsas and I was really impressed with the verde salsa. The verde salsa had a deep flavor and did not taste runny like most verde salsas do. We all got a margarita and they were all delicious! Balanced and refreshing. If you love a taco then this place is for you! The whole menu is all about the taco. You can even custom make your taco. I was not that adventurous, so I went with the suggested tacos. I got the El Tradicional and the Ooey - Gooey taco. Both were excellent and had great flavor. So I had heard good things about this taco place. I've never been but once inside I was taken back at how they wasn't really busy. there's painting on the walls. Idk what the painting were of. But the name of the business is above the door. So we get our menu and you can either make your own taco, burritos or bowl I think, or order their signature tacos. So I decided to make my own and for ONE taco it was $15!!!! I was pissed! There was barely any meat on the taco and I had more lettuce and cheese then meat. When I got the bill I was taken back. Even Taco Bell was a lot bigger than this! I was disappointed in the price point. My friend got 3 tacos and a drink and her bill was $22. I happened to stop into Condado during restaurant week. The offered a 3 course meal for $20. I went for a sparkling margarita, chips and guacamole, and 2 tacos - so it was a good amount of food for $20. The sparkling margarita was purported to contain sparkling water, but it tasted like a regular margarita. The chips and guacamole were solid, and my tacos were good as well. The spice level was pretty high, but my tacos were tasty and flavorful. Service was a little slow as they were busy and short staffed, but the restaurant and patio are comfortable. read more

My friend and I went to get food there and I ordered two tacos with tofu. The first taco was really good! However in the second taco I found two pieces of chicken which was disappointing and I didn't end up finishing my taco. This hasn't happened to me before when eating at condados but it makes me apprehensive when thinking of going again soon. We came here for happy hour before going to a concert. It was pretty packed which I was surprised, but I guess everyone had the same thought. You cannot best condado's happy hour prices. Half off margs and $1 off of tacos. We grabbed drinks at the bar while waiting for our table. The bartender was very nice, but service was slow. She was also the only person working the bar which was understanding why it took so long, but it did take us about 15 minutes to get our drinks and another 10 to get our checks. Our table was ready and we got to sit outside which was perfect! Our waitress came and she did not seem too happy to be there. We ordered the queso and guacamole for the 4 of us to split. There were no paper towels at all and we were going to ask our waitress to bring us some, but she did not check in with us for about 20 minutes. A friend of mine ended up having to take a roll of paper towels from another table. The queso can get messy and the chips are oily so you definitely need paper towels. Our waitress finally comes back to check in and grab our taco orders. She asked if anyone would like anything else to drink and we said we were going to wait a little bit. She left and checking the time, we realized there was only about 5 minutes left of happy hour! We tried to get our waitresses' attention, but she was chatting with another employee. She finally came over with a minute left of happy hour and we apologized for saying no in the first place only because we did not realize happy hour was about to end. She rolled her eyes at us and gave us so much attitude! I understand we told her no and then yes, but she did not need to roll her eyes. My friend also asked for a refill on his Coke and we all needed water, but she did not come by to check in on us until I had to flag her down. We asked for the refills and another person had come out with the waters, but no Coke. We had to ask the person who brought our waters out to refill the coke for us. The rest of our dinner was enjoyable. We got our tacos which tasted great. You can never go wrong with chips and guac or queso at condado. The waitress made the experience just ok. We saw her maybe 3 times in the 1.5 hour time we were there. We saw more of other employees bringing out our stuff than her. Hands down my favorite restaurant! I have been here so many times while I was at OSU for undergrad. I also have been to several other locations in the Columbus area. The service is always great and the food is always AMAZING. My go to margarita is the prickly pear. They're guac is among the best guacamole's ever. I usually get two tacos and I customize them randomly each time. I have never been disappointed with my taco creations. Sometimes I get one taco and fill up on the delicious guac and queso. Love this location!! The staff is amazing- Antonio was our server and bartender and he makes an AMAZING white peach marg! The dirty queso is a can't miss. Also make sure to try anything with tequila lime steak! Glad it was made into a permanent item. The vibes in here are awesome- the paintings on the walls are all INCREDIBLE. Hilary is the assistant manager and she made a point to stop by and ask about our experience. Not impressed with this place. The ambience is unique although a little loud. The chairs are uncomfortable unless you're a child or someone with a skinny ass. I'd say I have a normal size ass and it didn't really fit in the chair. The host was very friendly but our waitress was not. Maybe it's supposed to be a hip place and we aren't hip enough. I dunno. Anyway, we ordered the chips with traditional guacamole, house salsa, and queso to start. The guac had too much lime. It overpowered everything. The house salsa was bland. The queso was really good though. They aren't kid friendly either, as they have no kids menu or any less spicy options for their food items, which is interesting considering their chairs were only made for the tiny butts of little children. The tacos were okay. The pulled pork tacos were probably the most flavorful meat they offer. I had that on a double decker taco, which was a hard taco inside a soft taco with a filling in-between and was pretty good. Both my wife and i each had tacos in the mix that were cold. Came here on a whim, when we both wanted tacos. Similar experience to the time I went to the Easton location: amazing service, very good food, hip vibe, annoying menu and ordering setup. Parking is tight, in this little mall with Blunch, an oil change place, etc. Nice little patio, open seating options inside, comfortable, busy on a weekday evening. Great service every step of the way, from hostess through several bartenders who helped me order. And help was needed, because, damn. For one, even with my reading glasses the menu print was hard to read. There are several small menus, and several small paper ordering forms. And they're not just small, they're a little vague, and busy, and overly complicated. Again: if you have to explain how to order your food, you're doing something wrong. Restaurants have worked this out pretty well over the last few hundred years. I'm not sure why places like Condado and Which Wich feel the need to reinvent the wheel (with out-of-round tires and draggy brakes.) Maybe it makes it easier on the kitchen? Still, with some patient and friendly explanations, I got what we wanted. I went with pre-built choices, to simplify things. Sweetie texted me her choices, and I checked off the boxes. We got things to go (hence ordering at the bar.) When we got home, everything was correct. And very tasty. She got two tacos, one with chicken, one pork, and assorted toppings. She really liked them. She also got the bacon baked beans, and said they were too spicy. I finished them, and found them 1) not very spicy, and 2) much more bacon-y and enjoyable than the ones I had at the other location. Definitely worth getting, and a nice cheap side. I got a dirty taco, and loved it, same as last time. Tried a Dutch Dragon (guac, portobello, slaw, etc.,) and liked it. Big, easy to hold, nice blend of flavors and textures. Also had a Bubba Kush (pork, slaw, pineapple salsa, etc.) I liked that one even more. Also tried the Tuscan guacamole (artichoke hearts, balsamic, etc.) Weird combo, but worked well together, and the basic guac is fresh and good. I had their new brunch this morning! It was all really good. I had the Aperol marg, Sweet Mama taco, and at my sister's urging, the side of smoked cheddar tots! They had a couple brunch tacos and The Remedy bowl. The bowl was a huge portion. The balance of fillings in the taco was spot on. Every bite has a good mix of everything. But, the tots! Wow! Homemade, crispy goodness with just the right amount of queso, bacon, southwest sauce, and cilantro. The plain tots are in some of the tacos and bowls. I'm glad I showed restraint and only ordered the small side for myself. Otherwise I might have embarrassed myself devouring a bowl of them. I forget our server's name, but he was helpful with questions and excited about the new menu. They've got a good thing here! I'll be back to enjoy brunch again soon... I love Condado Tacos and it is the one restaurant I have truly missed during this COVID situation. We have carryout during the past few months, but this is the first time I have actually eaten in a restaurant since early March. The distancing, hand sanitizer, etc. was on point. I felt as comfortable as someone could who is being served food during a pandemic. The staff was AMAZING and the food was terrific. I miss the ceviche taco but I understand, things are weird and menus change. Our server, Dre, was also the bartender and she had a full section. She was really personable, kind and patient and she did a wonderful job taking care of our table of three. I am still not comfortable eating out at a restaurant but that is totally a personal thing, nothing to do with our experience tonight. Condado just arrived in my neighborhood and I'm really excited to have this trendy, locally-based gem literally across the street from me. The concept is simple--mark up a slip of paper to build the taco(s) of your dreams! All sorts of protein options, including vegan and vegetarian options. The food is delicious and very cheap for a fun night out. Usually two tacos for me does the trick! I always start with chips and a dip--whether it's queso, guac, salsa or a combo of all three. The chips are not your normal cantina-style corn chip. I believe they are actually fried flour tortillas. Yummy, salted-just right, but also very filling! Enjoy, but make sure you save room for your taco splurge! The queso is definitely one of the best I've had lately too. I've been to this new location a couple times now and it is incredibly loud and noisy in here. This iteration of Condado is definitely attracting a lot of kids from Campus. I literally feel like one of the oldest people in there. Also, the restaurant is set-up communal style which if you value your personal space while dining, I'd stay away. I have been to Condado's a few times now. In both Cincinnati and Columbus. This location is particularly awesome. The layout is great. One of the walls was open to allow fresh air in. I got elote queso and a build your own taco. It was only $9.50 including tax! The queso was so delicious. The elote in the queso wasn't that prominent, but it was good. It came with a massive basket of thick, delicious tortilla chips. The taco was to die for (and pretty large!)-- I got a double shell (queso sandwiched between a hard and soft shell), portabella, chimichurri, aoili, verde salsa, all 3 cheeses, lettuce, and tomato. This is a really nice location of Condado. It's situated a few blocks north of campus on High Street, right on the south end of Clintonville. There is a decent amount of parking available, although it sits in the same complex as Lineage Brewing, which gets busy quickly and fills up a large chunk of the parking lot. There is indoor and outdoor seating which is nice if you want to sit outside on a warm summer night/day. We were seated indoors at one of the long 'picnic style' tables. The interior of the building is really awesome... it's hand painted like a fortress. Our waitress was OK... she kind of seemed to forget about us a couple of times. We ordered the monthly special queso which was FIRE. If they still have it you should get it. It was a BBQ pork queso (had a chunk of BBQd meat in it with funyons on top. Well worth the money, and the chips and salsa came free with it. *WOO*. Ordering tacos at Condado is a little different than anywhere else that you might go. They have menus with all the options, and you fill in circles for which ingredients you want on which taco. It's really nice because it's completely personalized. Their tacos are a little pricey, coming in at 3.50 a piece (without any of the upgrades) but they are a good portion size. 2 is more than enough for me. read more

I've been to the location in Easton and I almost prefer it because parking here SUCKS. There were no spots and we had to park at Giant Eagle. Anyway, we were supposed to meet at 7:45 on Wednesday and it was packed! Still a few spaces at the long tables, but my friends came at 7 so they were able to snag a spot at a table of four. I would hate to come here as a group bigger than that! Tables are super close together and it's loud! Seems like Condado is always slammed no matter which location you go to though. Service was good. The girl was really nice. My friends had to-go orders and she did a good job of packaging them and such. We ordered the corn salsa which was very good! It had a nice sauce on it which gave it some sweetness. I like that the chips and dips are a good price. I got el tradicional and the surf and turf. The surf n turf had beef with ghost pepper and shrimp and other stuff. It wasn't as spicy as I thought. El tradicional had chorizo and other stuff. It was just alright. My friends love it because they have a lot of vegetarian options. I will commend them for having a lot of choices in general though and build your own tacos. Pretty cool. read more

I was here for dinner after getting my car's oil changed at Valvoline next door this past Friday night (11/03). Drinks: We got their Clasico and Mezcalita - the margaritas were great - super flavorful and with a nice kick!! Food: For starters we got the chips and guac and was surprised by how small the guac size was. However, the flavor of the guac was amazing!!! For mains, we ordered two Taos each from their signature/suggested tacos and they were just ok. They were kinda bland and my Lucy's Fire honestly tasted like something from Taco Bell :/ They advertise themselves as Tex Mex and as someone who has eaten plenty of tacos all over Texas, I think they need to do better. This is where I took out the two stars. Atmosphere/service: It's got a chill, fun vibe! The wait staff is friendly and informative and the ambience is inviting!
