If you truly like authentic Mexican food, I am sorry to say that disappointment may follow your enthusiasm. At least that's been my experience attempting this restaurant twice in two different states. This is a new wave, Americanized spin on a traditional Mexican palate that in my opinion is best left alone. It's the "try hard" to be different approach that Condado sells as unfortunately over-trying. The service during my visit was amazing however and the margaritas are on point! read more

Came in for lunch last week for a quick bite to eat and sat at the bar, Tupelo the bartender was absolutely wonderful giving me recommendations on the tacos. I ended up getting a taco called the purple haze, and it was delicious. I love that they have a big window open when it's nice outside, you get nice fresh air when you eat. 10/10 will go back! read more

I will start by saying that Condado Tacos is my favorite in person Mexican restaurant in Pittsburgh. Absolutely great food (10/10) but the takeout is a mixed experience. I ordered takeout from the McCandless location for the second time. The first time was awesome for the nachos. This time I opted for soft tacos and the queso blanco dip. The tacos were completely soaked and gummy tortilla. This was about 10 minutes between the bag being handed to me as it was from the kitchen until I was home. A complete disaster to eat. I should have thought this through with the toppings. So I'm marking this up to live and learn. The real disappointment was that the queso blanco container was only half full. It's not a big container (cup similar to Moe's) for $6.25- it seemed like a rip off. So the lesson here is if you like toppings besides meat and shredded cheese on your tacos- please order them in person for the maximum taste and quality. As for the sides in take out orders, you should check them out before you leave the parking lot to be sure you are given the appropriate portion. I'll definitely be back for in person dining but most likely not for take out. read more

I've been hooked on Condados for years! All started from the Lawrenceville location when we would order delivery to work! Now there is one opened by my house in Mccandless and I can order both at work and at home! Now that's dangerous!!! The food is excellent and the prices are appropriate! I've never had bad service or a messed up order! I only gave 4 stars because there have been a couple of times that the salsa and the Guac have been way too spicy to even eat... but otherwise it's excellent! read more

Completely AWFUL service. First there were a bunch of tables opened and they put me in the corner like I am some kind of scoundrel, where I can't even have any space and am basically rubbing my ass with the fella behind me. Then Waited 20 minutes to even get noticed, then the table right next to us gets served before us when they got there 10 minutes after us. Finally I kindly try to get the waitresses attention and she finally comes over and has the audacity to say we yelled at her, when we clearly didn't. Also not to point out the obvious but she reeked of cigarettes and alcohol and probably hasn't showered in a week. Any who we were going to order and I was just saying we have been waiting for 20 minutes and she stormed off. I went here for dinner last night and it did not disappoint! We got there around 5:20, and needed a table for 2 people and a high chair. We were seated right away and had the option to sit indoors or outside - we chose inside. The restaurant can get very loud, and around 6 when the place was completely full, it was hard to hear each other talk. It didn't seem to bother my 1 year old son but if you have anyone in your party who's sensitive to loud environments, this may not be the place for you. We got a half size of the elote queso, which was absolutely delicious. I got a house margarita with peach flavor, which was $8 for happy hour ($6 for the marg, $2 for the flavor). It was pretty good and I would order it again. I got a build your own taco and a side of tots, and my friend got a build your own bowl. The food took a little while to come out, but the restaurant was packed and I heard the kitchen was backed up so that's not really surprising. The taco was delicious and the tots were decent. Sarah Jean was our waitress and she was wonderful! She was very helpful when I couldn't decide what to order, and was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. This is probably the 5th condado I've been to over the years, and I'd say it ranks toward the top in terms of service. I look forward to coming back here in the future. read more

I'm leaving 2 stars as the average of my review and my husband's. My food was terrible - like barely edible. He liked his overall but said some of the flavors didn't work well together. We both thought the price was high for what we got. Neither of us understand the hype of this place after having been in one time. It's not Mexican, or even Americanized Mexican. More like Americanized Mexican fusion where everything just comes in taco form. Worst point for me is the guacamole was bad - weird color, no taste, left a film in my mouth. I went here with friends and my wife. The dishes arrived very fast, within about 5 minutes. I had the Lucy's fire and Dutch Dragon tacos, both were excellent. I also got the full serving of the Mexican Street corn which my wife and I shared. That was also great and enough for both of us. Since my wife doesn't do much on Yelp I asked for her feedback about the visit and she did a great job..."I thought the chips were too hard. My Taco bowl was very tasty but as it was lukewarm and I had one big lump of rice that I couldn't even break up. We think they had certain dishes halfway done ready to go, that's how they were prepared so quickly. I should have been served regular dinnerware not a plastic spork!
