Came here for the vegan tacos and they did not disappoint. Rango Tango - Possibly my favorite. Star protein is crispy tofu with thai chili sauce so the taco is a little sweet and very tiny bit spicy. Power Plant - Too spicy for me. I am absolutely weak when it comes to spicy food so I already asked to skip the pickled jalapenos. My first few bites were so spicy that I put down the taco, not expecting to finish later. But after I ate everything else on my plate, I came back and I finished it without too much problem. Maybe I only bit into something super spicy at first. Star protein is veggie chorizo so this taco is the most savory. Dutch Dragon - The most mild in flavor. Star 'protein' is portobello which may be the reason for being quite juicy/messy. Stiil good. Best for putting out that power plant fire! Had a Nojito for drinks. Very refreshing. We stayed at the Hilton Ballpark and this is within the Ballpark Village complex. The only downside is that you have to pay for chips and salsa when most places it's complimentary. We got the 3-bud queso flight - get the Smoked Cheddar, it was everyone's favorite! The margaritas were great as well as the aperole lemonade. We got build your own tacos / nachos, and a variety of menu tacos. Everything was really great. We sat on the patio and it was lovely, although I don't see any space heaters so it would require nice weather. Our server was great as well as the hostess (who may have also been a manager as she came to check on us). Everyone was helpful and friendly and made the experience even better. I've had this place numerous times now, and although I've only ever ordered online for carry out, the food has never failed to impress me! The Build Your Own Bowl is honestly such a great deal. I like to think of it as a fancier version of a bowl from Chipotle with much higher quality ingredients. I also like that you can select as many ingredients as you want without any added fees. For only a few dollars more than a Chipotle bowl, you get double the portion and triple the flavor, all made with the freshest ingredients. My favorite toppings to get in my bowl include rice, beans, chicken, fajita peppers, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, jicama + cabbage slaw, cheese, corn salsa, pineapple salsa, and cilantro-lime aioli. So delicious! I definitely need to try eating in the restaurant sometime and branch out from my usual bowl, but employees are always very friendly and fast when I grab the food for carry out. A friend of mine invited me to try this place just to get us both out of the house. The place was decorated in cute Mexican fashion with bright colors. The menu is not that big of a menu but still has nice food choices I got 2 tacos one with beef and the other chicken both were tasty. The wait staff was prompt with getting us seated, our order taken and served us quickly. Service was fine; drinks and food came quick. The tacos were delicious. We really liked the build your own model and they were a good size. They have vegetarian and vegan options like tofu and mushroom for the "meat". The chips and salsa were $2 (not bad). The regular/house salsa was great, it had a nice kick, but the chips were some of the worse I've had. Way too thick like pita chips. Almost got the build your own Nachos and I'm glad I didn't! Ok, it was okay. We hit them up as lunch rush was ending and gearing up for game day that night - so not great timing on our part admittedly... Not great first impression: Tables needed cleaned - entire patio area looked like a food tornado had been through with food, plates, cups, - all the things - on almost all the tables. Had to wait about 5 minutes for a table to be cleared. Another 10-15 minutes for waiter to bring drinks, and then another 10 minutes to take order. All in all not bad cons seeing, but hopefully they have more staff for busier times. Appetizer of chips and queso came much later than main entry orders - I think they forgot it - but eventually it made it to our table. Plastic sporks to eat with (what the heck??? I've never seems plastic sporks at a sit down restaurant before, but always a 1st I guess LOL). Water had an unusual taste (city metallic flavor?). They were out of some food items - no street corn guac. The lunch crowd devoted that (so maybe it's great?!?). Workers seemed harried and understaffed, bless them. Precarious patio high top table chairs, which feel like they could easily tip due to low backs of chairs and wobbly legs. Great first impression: Fun vibe. Interesting flavors with tacos. Spicy options! The Smoky Cheddar Queso is delicious! Plain Jane taco is great and my fave! Tacos are decent size (2 was enough for me!), and the bowl options are really big!.Ample parking, as long as you arrive early before a game day, or it is a non-game day. Good patio space with fans and coveted over head ceiling, with fun people watching. While workers seemed understaffed during our visit, they still gave really good customer service. Kudos to them! Well, let's just dive into this. How is this even considered a taco spot? I went at like 8pm on Thursday night. Wasn't particularly busy, but we ordered tacos. I picked 4 from only the "Favs" menu. And although they came out quick, everything was very cold. The flour tortilla was slightly warmer than fridge temp, the cheese inside was still cold and unmelted, the meat on all of them was cold as well. The rice was overcooked and soggy, the ones with braised meat were very soupy and dripping therefore making the whole thing soggy. The whole process can be improved by possibly the tacos coming at hot. Maybe toast the tortillas a little? Like straight from the fridge and not even toasted is wild. Maybe drain the meat before scooping it on. The whole thing tasted "packaged homemade" as if my little brother was taking care of me. If this place didn't have tacos in the name, and was just a bar, then id probably go higher since the ambulance and the service was great. But wow. Taco spot that missed the whole taco experience just doesn't feel good to me. Hope you take this advice and improve the small things. The concept is cool though. read more

As a Texas girl who loves her tacos i feel like i have an upper hand at eating tacos from different states especially those up north. I came here not expecting authenticity but more so of a hipster place. I ordered the Lucy's Fire taco and the best way for me to describe it is similar to Taco Bell. (I like Taco Bell) i expected it to be spicy because of the "fire" in the name but it wasn't. It wasn't a bad taco! Party of 3, arrived on a Friday a little before 7p. This restaurant is located at Ballpark Village, so yes, you must factor in parking cost and if the Cards are in town. Cards not playing this eve so we were able to get seated outside in less than 15 min. Server was friendly and knowledgeable. I asked questions about the size of the Tots and glad I did because the small comes in the size dish that's usually restricted for the complimentary chips and salsa! Now that I recall, there were no complimentary chips and salsa. Lol! I went with a glass of House Red, Large Loaded Tots and 2 BYO tacos, 1 soft with chicken and Fajita vegetables and 1 hard with beef. The Tots were the standout, very good. They are the homemade style where they take shredded potatoes and make them. Get the large order, but it's still not enough to share. The Tacos were both tasty, but the chicken has too much juice which made my soft shell soggy. The beef has a kick to it, so be aware. In general, it was an enjoyable experience. Shoutout to BPV for adding Condado Tacos to the foodie lineup because the tacos here are fire!! The girls and I went here for a girls night and I have never heard of Condado until now but I'm so glad that we went because we ate soooo good! First of all, shoutout to all of the talented local artists who hand painted each wall inside of Condado's because I know it had to take a long time. I really love art and that was one of the first things I noticed about this place. Our waitress Bri was super cool and very informative when it came to the menu and drinks. We had the chorizo queso for an appetizer and I ordered the mango margarita and the Lucy and Bad Habit tacos. My drink was everything and the flavor combinations in the tacos were absolutely delicious! We were super hungry when we came in and we left with full bellies & smiles on our faces. Apparently that burrito is still floating around in the burrito nebulous somewhere. In the end, two pitchers of margarita, some chips and queso, and three burritos (for four people) yielded a $195 bill. Save your $. I come from southern California for work so the bar is pretty high when it comes to tacos- this place doesn't really have what you would consider traditional tacos. They put their own twist to it, interesting toppings and sauces to make it original. That being said, it isn't for me. I was looking for the comfort of a corn tortilla and maybe some steak or birria but it just didn't appeal to me as the toppings and the hard shell threw me off. I tried the shrimp tacos and it was unbearably spicy and sweet, even for me as a usual red salsa with arbol chiles never really threw me off. Overall, the service was amazing. Downtown St Louis seems to be a ghost town. I'm here for a national conference staying near the Arch and Busch Stadium. We've been told over and over of the danger of the city so to stay close. We ended up at Conando Tacos. There was a fair size clientele inside but several open tables. The hostess had to wipe a table for us. Someone in my party commented that they may just clean tables when they need to seat someone as there were several dirty tables sitting empty. We ordered beer and one person wanted a margarita. The server went through flavor choices and she settled on mango peach. We ordered a trio of chips and dips. Our drinks came. The table behind us was served food, ate their food, paid, and left. Our server had disappeared. We never got food. He finally came around and asked if we were ready to order dinner. We said we were still waiting for our chips. He was surprised to not see them (eye roll). He went to check on them and took 10 more minutes to come back. We asked for our check and to cancel the chips. He promised they were on their way and we said to cancel them. He got mad and brought our check, asking for a credit card without showing the bill but saying the total. For 3 drinks, it was $50. I asked why so much and he said he forgot to take off the chips. The total was still $30. For two draft beers and a margarita... he upcharged us $1 for each flavor on the margarita, making a canning jar sized marg almost $15. I asked about it and he got rude and pissy.
