Came here for a work lunch/dinner - a "Lunner," if you will! We were at the ballpark for a work event and decided to sneak in a bite before the game. Condado is basically a stone's throw from the stadium, so I'd imagine it turns into a madhouse on weekend game days. We rolled in on a Thursday, so it was buzzing but nowhere near max capacity. We were a bigger crew - 8 of us - and they wasted no time pushing a couple of hightop tables together to get us seated. Our waiter was fantastic (didn't catch his name, but he had tattoos, piercings, and curly hair - trying to get the man his flowers, LOL). They've got a whole lineup of mock-a-ritas, which I LOOOOOOOVE! I went with the Blood Orange Ginger Mock-a-Rita - a little more tart than I usually go for, but still crisp and refreshing. The menu is stacked with variety: bowls, burritos, tacos, nachos - there's truly something for everyone. Fair warning though, these aren't your dainty street tacos - they're hefty, more Taco Bell-sized, so don't go ordering three unless you're showing up starving. I got the Rango Tango Taco: Thai chili tofu (fried *drools), Thai chili red cabbage, pickled jalapeños, pineapple salsa, habanero-mango sauce, and cilantro-lime aioli, all wrapped in a soft flour AND hard corn shell glued together by guac. That hard shell gave it the perfect crunch, and the Thai chili tofu? Absolute YUMS. So good. One was plenty since we'd been grazing all day at work events, but on a normal day I'd easily throw down for two. Overall, I'd hop back in a heartbeat next time I'm in St. Louis for a Cardinals game. Condado Tacos was okay overall. The restaurant wasn't busy when we visited, but it definitely seemed understaffed. Our server was doing the best he could and was constantly moving, so I don't blame him at all a little extra help would have made a big difference, especially since our drinks took quite a while to come out. The food was good, but unfortunately not what we expected. We ordered tacos, and they were definitely very Americanized. Nothing was necessarily bad, but nothing really stood out either. The rice was also just plain white rice, which felt a little disappointing for a Mexican-style taco restaurant, we were expecting something with more flavor and seasoning. Overall, I'm glad we gave Condado Tacos a try, but it probably wouldn't be a place we would return to. Oh where to begin. My group of 4 walked into Condado Tacos at 7:50pm and there were only a couple tables occupied. We waited at the hostess table for 12minutes despite multiple servers walking right past us. We should've left then, but we didn't. After being seated, we proceeded to wait 10min for our server to come over. After ordering 4 waters and a buds trio (which is literally Guac, salsa and queso) we then waited 35min for the water and chips and salsa. After we got the chips, we ordered 9 tacos and I am not lying when I say we waited another 40min. It took so long that by the time we got the food, it was actually cold. This is where it gets even more unbelievable. We were missing 1 taco from our order and our server said he'd bring it right out. 2min later our server came over with the missing taco...not on a plate or tray, but in his hand. Now he had a glove on, but still...can't say I've ever seen that. The flavor of the tacos was actually decent, but unfortunately I can't look past the cold temperature, terrible service and brutally long wait. We went here for drinks since we stayed at the hotel nearby. We also ordered the street corn guac and the queso dip. I did not take a picture of the queso dip. We had the Strawberry yuzu, blood orange ginger and dragon fruit habanero drinks. They were pretty good. There were plenty of Parking at ballpark village, especially on non-game day. This place comp parking for three hours on non-game days as well. We did not need parking comp since we already paid for parking by staying at the hotel nearby. read more

My husband and I chose this venue because we had heard it was a good choice before a baseball game! i was excited about the margarita flavors! We both ordered flights of margaritas! my favorite was the dragonfruit! On the menu it said 2 flights for 20 dollars. later when we got our bill we were told it didn't apply to game days but it did not say that anywhere on the menu. The waitress did end up changing the price though since we didn't know. We ordered the lucy's fire, shrimp, blue dream and bad habit tacos. I think the Lucy's fire and bad habit were the best! We also got Queso and it was pretty tasty! It did take a while to get our food and they were not busy hardly at all. The only reason I even gave this place 2 stars was from my last experience which was over 2 years ago. This experience was so terrible it made my last experience seem like it didn't even exist. Despite the restaurant being pretty much empty on a Friday night at 6:40pm it took almost 5 minutes for us to be acknowledged to be sat, and I can't for the life of me tell you what our servers name was since all she did was ask for a drink order and walked away. We ordered our 5 tacos and margarita flight and received the flight in a timely fashion and was told our food would be out in about 5-10 minutes. It took well over 10 minutes and our food was delivered by someone other than our server. While the food looked really good it was really cold. The cheese wasn't even melted on the brisket Taco. Despite being cold everything had a decent flavor, but I would have really liked to have experienced the food hot. We did not see our server after she took our orders until she walked in from outside after we sat for an awkward amount of time waiting for our checks and a to-go box. There were not any customers on the patio, nor were there any other customers that we saw in the restaurant at the time. We literally came here for a second time after 2 years just to try the food since we only had drinks on our last visit and we honestly wish we had skipped it and went elsewhere. read more

First impression of Condado Tacos wasn't the best. While the vibe was chill, laid-back, and overall cool, the service totally missed the mark. Our waitress came off uninterested, not very welcoming, and it showed from the start. After being seated, we waited about 10 minutes with no acknowledgment, and when she finally came over, there was no greeting, just a quick "what can I get you guys started to drink?" very dry energy. When my friend asked about tequila options, the response felt short and a bit dismissive, which didn't help the experience. Ordering food had its own hiccup....I expected three shrimp tacos but only received one, which was disappointing because the taco was delicious. Now, to be fair, the food? Absolutely on point....Flavorful, fresh, and well-prepared, no complaints there at all. But service sets the tone, and this one just didn't hit. I have eaten at Condado Tacos a few times now, and it's always a great quick meal before a Cardinals game. On our last trip I tried the Fire-Roasted Street Bowl and I think that will be my go-to from now on. I didn't realize how huge their bowls are, but we each took at least half of ours home to enjoy later. The staff is always friendly even if they have seemed a bit short-staffed recently. It was cool and colorful on the inside with lots to look at painted on the walls and a few tvs. The menu was a robust Mexican menu with fun margarita flavors and all kinds of food. We got street corn dip which came warm. We also got a burrito bowl and some tacos and split a pitcher of passion fruit marg. I am vegan so I was excited to try some vegan tacos here. My boyfriend and I came here 2.5 hours before the cardinals game yesterday. They were understaffed which was shocking for a Saturday before the game at ballpark village. When we walked in, a bunch of tables were empty but hadn't been cleaned up. I felt bad for the people who were working the floor because they were clearly understaffed. We were told it would be a 20 min wait to be seated but most tables were empty. We ended up sitting at the bar. I ordered build your own vegan tacos which were great, but the male bartender was very rude. He questioned why we were watching him make drinks and made us feel bad for doing it. Part of the experience for us when sitting at the bar is seeing the fun drinks the bartenders make, so we immediately were uncomfortable. Veggie chorizo is a plant-based version of traditional Mexican and Spanish spicy sausage, and it is flavorful and satisfying. The Power Plant veggie taco is a recommendation if you enjoy spicy flavors. Many customers, including myself, find the presentation of dine-in food in single-use disposable bowls with plastic utensils unappealing. It feels cheap and out of place for a full-service restaurant. Switching to reusable dishware would improve both the presentation and the overall dining experience. We stopped after a cardinals game and surprisingly it wasn't that busy. The restaurant itself has a fun vibe with a lot of cool artwork and service was pretty quick. We both got two tacos which had a lot of flavor but unfortunately all of them were cold. The only thing that saved the experience for me was the cactus juice mocktail. It might be one of the best non-alcoholic drinks I've ever had and was extremely refreshing and very reasonably priced. We got seated and then it took 15 minutes for anyone to take our order and then we sat for another 35 minutes with no food... we ended up just leaving because people who came in after us got their food and it's very obvious the server didn't put in the order. We got pulled in initially because there was a advertisement sign outside for $6 frozen margaritas. After being seated, we were told the machine wasn't ready (hours after being open? On a weekend, and game day? Why put the advertising sign out then if they're not available?). The first high chair brought to us didn't have a securing buckle on one side. The second one they brought had bird poop on it!!! The chips we got were cold and stale (like they were last week's chips). The salsa lacked any type of seasoning and just tasted like crushed tomatoes. The guacamole lacked flavor as well - like it was just crushed avocado. Two kids taco plates were brought on the same basket... had to flag someone down to get another plate/basket to separate them. One of my tacos had literally a cold flour tortilla (at least the inner shell - they do a double decker style - was warm from the food), but at least the tacos were flavorful. The regular margarita I ended up ordering never came and I had to request to have it removed from the bill rather than the server noticing. They also charged us for kids drinks even though they were supposed to be included in the price of the kids meal. Overall it was a very poor dining experience and we just couldn't wait to get out of here! The only salvaging component was that at least our server was friendly and responsive when we asked for things.
