Our first time visiting this restaurant. We sat at the bar, the atmosphere was very nice and comfortable. Our bartender/ server was very knowledgeable about the menu and cocktails. We enjoyed the fresh chips and various salsas served, the homemade guacamole was very good. My husbands lunch burrito was full of delicious carnitas and was huge for a lunch portion. I had two corn tacos, carnitas in one and beef in the other. Very good, also black beans and rice, very nice. Will definitely go back! read more

We had meant to go there last year but never got there. We had short rib and Tequila lime shrimp. It was awesome. Staff is extremely friendly and I felt like so many diners knew them from long standing patronage which I can understand. The short rib melts in your mouth. The rice is delicious and I am not a fan of rice but I could have eaten a plateful. The Shrimp was delicious served with veggies, rice and tortillas. We decided to try this on National Margarita Day so that was probably a mistake due to the wait. The bar was busy but everyone was friendly and the margaritas were refreshing and big. Even though we had to wait about 1.5 hours the food was delicious. For an appetizer, we had the tamales which were very good. I had the al pastor tacos for dinner and everything was amazing and hot! My daughter and future son-in-law were visiting from California . They love fresh and authentic Mexican food. Due to covid thier big wedding in Newport was postponed till next year. They wanted to have a small backyard party with family and friends. Condesa was absolutely wonderful with everything! Each meal was boxed separately for each guest. The presentation was beautiful. The chicken and steak tacos, refried beans, rice, guacomole, chips were so fresh and delicious. Freshly made margaritas were also a big hit with guests. I am not sure why this place has received some not so good reviews. This place is awesome. From the service to the food. The service is always friendly... without going overboard (you know what I mean). The food is to exceptional. The steak is so tender...in everything that I have had it in. I have been there about a dozen times since it has opened...every time I have gone in I have tried something new. I have NEVER left disappointed. The poeple that have posted negative reviews must be people that are either miserable themselves...or have too much time on their hands...and feel the need to put this place down. This has been one of our favorite restaurants for a while. The food is always good, better than described on the menu. The atmosphere is perfect for a night with friends, date night, or family (separate area from the bar). Service has always been great until last night when service was INCREDIBLE. We decided to order through Grubhub which was a colossal mistake. Once I called Condesa directly, they explained the error and we decided to go pick up the order. Many errors were made on the part of Grubhub and the food was cold. Without hesitation, Jose said that the food would be remade fresh for us. Once we got to Condesa, Jose went out of his way to explain the errors and show us the communication with Grubhub. He even called the restaurant owner who kindly answered many of our questions and concerns. Once things were finally settled, Jose brought out our food and made sure that our order was perfect and that we were happy. This level of customer service is nothing less than gold star! Rarely do we encounter such professionalism, attention to detail, and phenomenal customer service. We are so looking forward to when we can sit at the bar and enjoy the chips with beans and various salsas. If you do not try Condesa, you will be doing yourself a disservice. read more

When you click on 2 stars on Yelp it says "Meh. I've experienced better." and I couldn't think of a better way to describe Condesa Restaurante. I came here for my brother's birthday because he is a big fan of Mexican food and every member of my family was left underwhelmed. The tables in the restaurant were so close together that I could have reached over and taken chips from the table next to me without even fully extending my arm. When the food finally came it was small portions and very bland. If I had to rank the quality of food I've eaten at every Mexican restaurant I've ever been to, this place would be last. The worst part of it all was the price point. Considering the slow service the restaurant has, quality of food, and overall experience, they charge way too much. For 4 entrees and 4 drinks, the meal was over $120. Borderline ridiculous for a subpar restaurant in a strip mall in West Warwick. I won't be back. read more

My family and I (11 total) came to dine in condessa this evening for the first time. The experience started out nicely, the salsa was delicious, the homemade guacamole was especially delightful. Our server was Luis and he was friendly and eager to please us. We ordered our entrees and when they arrived everything was a disappointment. My particular entree was the carne Asada tacos, it was cold, there were no onions or avacado sauce on it and it was very hard to eat. The meat was so dried out I wasn't sure if it was over cooked or under the heat lamp to long. My two children had the same dish and I asked for them to have ground beef instead of steak. All three dishes appeared to have the same style meat, Luis assured me that they were different....My mother ordered steak fajitas and asked for them rare if possible, we were told the meat is already sliced and could not be rare. The meat and vegetables in her dish were all WAY to over cooked again either that or under the heat lamp to long. The tortilla bread that came with her fajitas were soggy and tore apart in the center so it was sent back for fresh bread. Once we were served two people in our party did not get their meals until we were almost done eating. I ordered a side of French fries for my son after we received our meals, I went to eat one of them and there was a long blonde hair wrapped on it. I think Luis could feel that we were not happy with the food, he did not ask if we are enjoying our meals....I had high hopes for this restaurant and was excited to try the food. I don't see myself or anyone in my party returning to eat here. read more

They brought us chips and four different sauces to try and you could get more if you asked but we also ordered the cheese dip and that had a little kick to it but not too much. Ugghhhh Condesa!!! Let me start out saying the food is AWESOME at Condesa, everything I've gotten has been delicious I'd recommend the guacamole it's the best around and the el pastor quesadilla so so good. It's the management that I can't stand. We have spent the pandemic supporting local places and not going to chains. We've ordered take out a few times from Condesa and each time there was a problem, and each time we try and fix the problem they are jerks about it. I got the wrong order once, got home saw it was wrong, went back and the guy blamed me for taking the wrong order. Whattttt your employee brought it to my car, I didn't take anything! Things forgotten from orders, but charged, called to get it fixed guy was a jerk. And lastly cinco de Mayo (guys I know it's a busy night) I called and as I was on to the last item in my order I was told the regular menu was not available and I had to get family style fajitas or tacos, we didn't have a back up plan so fajitas it was. My husband went to pick up...they had no record of my order. As my husband was waiting he heard orders coming in on the phone for the full menu not just fajitas or tacos. He asked the manager about that and the manager said someone "f'ed up" (he said the word), my husband waited as they made the order of chicken fajitas and when the order came out my husband asked for a discount the manager got huffy and gave him 10% off.
