This was my first time trying a coney I-lander. I'm not a huge hot dog fan, but I thought this place was pretty good! For starters, I enjoyed their hot dogs. I also enjoyed my drink. The had a good selection of soft drinks. The service here was great! All of the employees were very friendly. The only down side to this place was it was a little run down. I have been in Oklahoma for over 20 yrs. I kept driving by this place in Jenks, thinking, I really need to try that place. Well, FINALLY, my husband and I tried it. I ordered a regular coney with no onions and my husband ordered a cheese coney with no onions. The norm is mustard, chili and onions. We paid $5.08 for the both. I was expecting a big hot dog and what we got was a hot dog you can buy in a package for less and was extremely disappointed!! You are better off making your own at home. $2.54 for this dinky thing?! We were in from out of town and wanted to grab a bite before heading home. This was a quick inexpensive place to hit up. We fed five people for $25. The lady working the register and the drive-through was really sweet and very helpful. Hotdogs are very small. And the last bite never had any wiener in it because they're so little. But it filled our bellies. The restaurant itself is in an old Braums building, I believe, but they had it fixed up really cute and they had an aquarium in the center that the kids enjoyed. read more

I don't know what these bad reviews are about, but these are the BEST hot dogs in Tulsa. For around $5? I can get TWO HOT DOGS with chili AND cheese. Two. They are SOOO YUMMY. I am a HUGE FAN of how the hot dogs are cooked which I think is boiled. The cheese is soo good. The chili is soo good, and the fact I don't have to get mustard or onions on them is a blessing as I hate both. I was surprised to say the least. I was hoping for a $3.00 hot dog, I'd get some thick, juicy, uncommon product. I opened the styrofoam box and there was this little itty bitty shriveled 4-5" dog. To say I do it better is an understatement. Then, the tamale, forget it. I opened the box and there was a micro tamale al broken up. Literally, the mea was separated from the wrap. No flavor. First time here. Food was ok. Service somewhat lacking. First person (a lady) just looked at us over mask. And I will advise all behind counter wearing masks. Second gal took our order. No large drink cups at the counter. Had to wait hit someone to ring up our order as appears gal working cash register inside had stepped away. No napkins in sight. Had to ask for them. Nothing like it. Others may try to replicate but only these Tulsa locations have the flavor of Chilli meeting cheese and mustard in just the right way. I don't really like mustard and for years I had no idea these even had mustard. The wife and I literally come from out of town to get this flavor again. Also, thanks to the manager who 15 odd years ago supported the local scout troop by supplying lunch for a community improvement project. You helped make a small boys dreams come true and helped a team of hungry ppl come together to improve the old community food bank and help it function for nearly 10 years more while the new one was being devised and built. I see this place and the sister locations around town as both a part of Tulsa's history and identity. Come by for a taste. read more

Came here and ordered dine in. Coney assembler was throwing ingredients on - layering coneys on top of coneys. So onions ended up in coneys that were ordered without onions. Mustard got on the buns that were supposed to be without mustard. Made a separate order to go home - 20 minutes drive home so asked if could get the chili on the side to keep buns from getting soggy - was advised can't put anything on the side because of rules. Update: am out of town, received nice response from owner. Will try it out again in the next month to see if policies of nothing in the side were changed and if coney assembly is handled with care 5/31/2019 Update: Coneys were made with more care. Did not ask about getting chili on the side as we ate there. They did still stack coneys in top of each other. This was a better experience. Upgrading from 1 to 3 stars. read more

We're new to the Jenks area and keep driving past this cute little place and thought we'd stop in! I've noticed some of the previous reviews mention an unkind staff, but I want to be very clear that that is the exact opposite experience of what my husband and I had!! We came in for the first time on a Friday evening, walked up to the line to order, and were greeted promptly and kindly, by both employees working at the time, got our food immediately, paid fast and were on our way to eat! When we first got out of the car, I immediately noticed a delicious smell heading our way, and was super excited to try it out. The menu is pretty simple, but they had some unexpected surprised as well. Between the two of us we tried the frito chili pie, chili cheese coney, and even a cheese tamale (which is a beef tamale covered in chili and cheese). Similar to what others have said, the food here is perfect for what you pay. At under $2 per dog, you're doing amazing with price. For 6 different items, we paid a total of $16. Talk about a cheap date night! But the quality definitely reflects that. The food was hot and seemed fresh, but the dogs tasted pretty similar to something I could buy at the grocery store. It hit the spot, and we both felt full way sooner than usual! So this isn't necessarily a place I'd plan to go if I'm looking for a really unique hot dog, but if you're in the mood for something simple, filling, and cheap, this is a great place to stop by! I love this place! Buns are steamed nice and warm, weiner is just right, chili is addictive and they cover it with cheese. I drown mine in hot sauce and enjoy working the word puzzle while I eat. I almost always get eight of them at a time, about three bites a piece. I get the small size cup because they do not mind if you walk back up and get refills free when I've asked them. It is always nice and clean all the way through to the bathrooms. The folks behind the counter are wonderful older locals most of the time. They move pretty quick and get you through and get you eating your food in a snap. I have bought a couple of Coney I-lander T-shirts there and wear them proudly, they're just right for a summer weight tee. I cannot really enjoy a coney anywhere else now. I come here from time to time and I really don't have any complaints. You have to order several coneys to get full but they are pretty good. I usually order about 4. I walked in last night, Thursday, 12/26/2019 around 6:30pm to get some coneys. The drive thru line was full but I was the only customer in line inside of the store. I wasn't acknowledged by any of the three employees working behind the counter and I was left standing there for more than 5 minutes. I thought that one of the young men working behind the counter would speak up to me after he was finished assembling coneys for the drive thru but I was ignored. I was seriously considering walking out and not even ordering the longer I stood there. Finally, one of the young men looked up and said, begrudgingly "What can I get for you?". If you make your customers feel like they're an inconvenience they won't come back. The only saving grace was that the coneys were fresh and tasted just like I remember them. I could understand sitting in an empty drive-thru for 5 minutes without being helped if they were busy inside, but the empty parking lot seemed to suggest otherwise. The employee, a rude, middle aged woman, who I believe has been mentioned on here before, told me it would be a moment and that was it. 5-6 minutes later she finally came back on to take my order. No apology for the wait, or thank you for waiting, just a less than thrilled attitude while taking my order. After I got my order, I asked for some hot sauce, which seemed to really irritate this woman. I hope the owner reads this so they know why they are losing business. Your female employee a middle age or older who works for you is one of the rudest people I've encountered in a while. Me and my family literally stood there for over 5 minutes with her not saying one word, no eye contact nothing. But we did see she hates her job! She was very rude to the drive thru person who drove off without being waited on same time I was waiting, I finally said hi. I got a go to hell look so me and my husband and daughter started to walk out, she then starts talking rudely as we are walking out saying well, I guess they are impatient I turned around and told her how rude she was, she yelled at me so we left. We have a family tradition of doing coneys on Sunday, my husband's father started the tradition, so we will never eat at the Jenks location again. We drove that night to brook side instead. We will take our business elsewhere. So if you are wondering why you are losing money, the culprit is your less than mediocre employees. As a business owner this is your first mistake. The lady that works for you is horrible and miserable and treats your prospective customers away, remember I wasn't the only one that left without being served. She wasn't the only one who ignored your customers no one said a word nor tried to wait on us or the others. But she was the one behind the counter. read more

When I think of coneys this is the taste I am after. Not all coneys are made the traditional coney i lander way. These guys uphold the coney tradition passed on through the years. This Coney Island is located along the main strip in downtown Jenks and what used to be a Braum's location. It is conveniently located and offers good Coney's at a good price.
