I hadn't been to Goldie's in over a decade, but our son overheard us talking about it a few weeks ago and has begged to go ever since he heard us talking"pickle bar." Although I'm sad that the self serve all you can eat pickle bar is a thing of the past, Goldie's is still a gem! The service was fantastic, it's still very affordable, and their burgers are still fantastic. Pure nostalgia that I'm happy we get to pass down to another generation. (BIG fan by the way.) I'm a big fan of Goldie's burgers. Thick patty, unique seasoning, cooked to order. I wish they still had the pickle bar, but you can ask for and get the same pickles, dill and bread&butter, brought to your table. Goldie's Patio Grill is a pleasant surprise. Burger joints are not really my cup of tea so the surprise factor elevates Goldie's to a local favorite for me. The Hickory burger is surprisingly delicious. The BBQ flavors bring this burger into new heights. The option on how you want the burger patty to be cooked is an additional bonus. The price is amazing, very affordable. The fries remind me a lot of the fries from my high school. They have same texture and being coated by a thin layer of batter. Of course, it's crunchier than from a school's cafeteria. And course, you can't come to Goldie's and forget the pickles. There are three types and they bring out plenty for you to eat. We had not darkened the doorway of a Goldie's in around 15 years but decided to go last Saturday. Unfortunately, NOTHING has changed in 15 years. The decor was dated and drab. They removed the pickle bar, and because we were seated next to the kitchen entry, we could see a sign warning staff to limit the number of pickles they serve per patron. I assume COVID was not kind to their bottom line, but the pickle bar was kind of the one bonus to going to Goldie's. The waitress was friendly and the food arrived promptly, but my husband's medium burger was well done. He did not complain and just ate it. All I can say is I'm glad my business takes me to Tulsa! When I passed Goldie's I thought to myself a blast from the past. Could it be true?! I used to visit Goldie's all the time when they were in Edmond. So sad when they closed down, must have been a decade ago. The pickle bar was my go to and absolutely loved it! Of course that was the first thing I asked my waitress - do you have the pickle bar? Sadly, she said no but would definitely bring me pickles! The flavor is always been there since the 70s and I keep on going back to it even though the ones that are close to me and East Tulsa is no longer so we're having to go to 61st which that's fine. I would go to broken arrow Goldies. I have the angel fire with the coleslaw and love love love the pickles bar . I did miss the lettuce, tomato, and onions on my burger. Easy parking, mom and pop business, fast pleasant servers. Burgers look really good! I was first offered pickles (which was a new thing for me) and I asked for bread and butter as well as dill. The pickles were free and came w saltines. I then ordered the bacon cheeseburger and I ordered it RARE. And onion rings. See picture. The burger was BIG AND IT WAS A PERFECT RARE. I'm so tired of well done burgers from everywhere! This was a breath of fresh air! It was a great burger and the onion rings were good too. First time in Tulsa and was pleasantly surprised with Goldie's Patio Grill. This place took me back to my childhood eating at a simple diner with good food and friendly service. Let me say I love pickles and Goldie's pickles were amazing. They offered a good amount of dill and bread and butter pickles with crackers to snack on before your meal is served. We asked for more pickles and the waitress was kind to give more. She'd probably never seen people so excited to get pickles because most places are stingy with pickles. I ordered the Country Dinner and it was so tasty with the ground sirloin stuffed with cheese and onion and covered with gravy. The plate was hearty and came with two sides and Texas toast. I opted for the cole slaw and green beans and both were excellent. The plate had a lot of food but I ate it all. Dinner was followed by dessert and it didn't disappoint. I have eaten at Goldie's for many years and love them. However, whenever I order (to go) medium cooked, the burger is raw. On a rare occasion, a cook will get it right. I have eaten at Goldie's for the last 55 years, since I was a kid. I have my favorites on the menu. Today, a friend and I decided to eat lunch there. We both ordered chili cheeseburgers with fries. When I ordered, I asked if I could get some raw onion slices on the side, as did my dining companion. When our meal arrived, the server brought out two bowls full of diced onions. I told the server that we wanted sliced onions. That is what we always get on the side with the chili cheeseburger. I was advised by our server that when they serve onion on the side, they are diced. She's never heard of anyone getting sliced onion. I wondered if she realized that there had been a pickle bar with onion on it, at one time. Later, my dining companion said something to our server as she walked by, The server let her know that she had to take care of these people first. How about "I'll be right with you"?." We were trying to figure out how we got off on the wrong foot with this person. I waited tables when I was in school. Back then, if you wanted a tip, you earned it.. We are from Norman. I miss the old Goldies we had on Lindsey Street. Ate there in college once a week. As far as I know this is the only Goldies location that still exists in the world. On a recent trip to Tulsa, I took my wife there for her first time ever. She told me later of all the places that we ate (which included some very nice & expensive restaurants) in Tulsa, Goldie's was her favorite. Why can't these restaurants survive in other places? In town on business and told this is the place to go. I ordered a Hickory Chicken burger with lettuce onion and tomato. I receive a bare chicken breast on a bun with a side of mustard sauce. I told waitress I ordered Hickory chicken and she said no, I ordered chicken sandwich. Waitress asked if I wanted BBQ sauce and brought me some but refused to bring my lettuce, onion, tomato. Most tasteless sandwich ever. My two guests heard my original order but knew it was hopeless to try to get the correct sandwich. We will obviously not return. read more

It's been over a year and 1/2 since I've been to a Goldie's. The one I liked best was the original on Lewis which remains closed. The other one I frequented on 31st Street is closed for good. So after spending an hour in south Tulsa getting my Real ID, I decided to head to this Goldie's, arriving there a few minutes after 11:00. Only one or two other customers and I got a small booth by the kitchen. Drink order quickly taken by friendly waitress who then asked if I would like pickles. Instead of the pickle bar, the wait staff will bring you whatever kind of pickles you want/need. I ordered the Goldie's dinner with fries and, of course, slaw. I love their slaw and it was just as tasty as I remembered. All staff were wearing masks and seating was socially distanced. It was a good meal served quickly for a reasonable price. Best Burger Ever!! I've been on the hunt for a really good burger in Tulsa Oklahoma for the past two years and a friend recommended that I try this place. Place looks simple diner but boy.. their burgers are amazing!! Juicy and flavorful! I always thought that any restaurant serious about their burgers should be able to let you choose the "doneness" of the patty and they do that here!! There were three of us and we got the Angel Fire Burger, Goldie's Special Burger and the Angel Fire Chicken! I enjoyed my Angel Fire Burger so much, I ordered a second. Awful customer service! We had a larger group of people and we expected to have some wait due to our party size. The store was for the most part empty with a large party room closed in the back. Staff told us they are going to set tables up but it was gonna take a minute, as expected. Well 5-10 minutes went by and staff wasn't setting up anything, so we asked how much longer could we expect? The waitress told us we had to wait for people to finish eating before they could get us a table. When we asked about the party room we were told the manager won't let them open it. When we asked to talk to the manager, a rude women came out rolling her eyes at us and told us the room is closed. I'm not sure what manager thinks turning away a party of 14-16 people is good for business, especially when the restaurant is empty and you have space for handle the party. Kids meals - chicken tenders, burger and corn dog chicken were all good. Cheese fries were a little soggy and okra was not as crispy as I like it ( even though I ordered it extra crispy). We love Goldies. We will often eat there when visiting Tulsa. The pickles are great the burgers are home style. Never had a bad experience.

I have been to most of the locations in Tulsa and this is the best one. The staff here are very consistent and know how to take care of business. As soon as me and my group walked in we were greeted by our waitress she got our drink orders immediately. What's a bit different about this place you get your toppings at a topping bar which includes dill pickles, pickle spears, bread and butter pickles, onions, Tomatoes, and lettuce, the only down side to it I have to ask them to grill my onions because I don't like raw onions on a burger. The food was out fast and it tasted great I got the Goldies Cheeseburger with onion rings. Let's start with the onion rings they were fried to a nice crisp and it wasn't greasy like most onion rings I recommend the onion rings. Then the burger I don't know what they season it with but wow, as always it was very tasty and juicy it had the perfect cheese melt to it and the buns were grilled on both sides. There patty melts are also very good and you can also get dinners like the Rib eye platter. All in all not everyone knows about Goldie's for it's a hidden Gem that people needs to know about so in that case go here next time you need a burger fix. read more
