The last two times I've been here it's been amazing. Like Goldie's of 20 or 30 years ago. So good. Amazing beef and seasoning char grilled to juicy perfection.

Goldie's Patio Grill is a pleasant surprise. Burger joints are not really my cup of tea so the surprise factor elevates Goldie's to a local favorite for me. The Hickory burger is surprisingly delicious. The BBQ flavors bring this burger into new heights. The option on how you want the burger patty to be cooked is an additional bonus. The price is amazing, very affordable. The fries remind me a lot of the fries from my high school. They have same texture and being coated by a thin layer of batter. Of course, it's crunchier than from a school's cafeteria. And course, you can't come to Goldie's and forget the pickles. There are three types and they bring out plenty for you to eat. Sadly, I am not a pickles fan though.

We had not darkened the doorway of a Goldie's in around 15 years but decided to go last Saturday. Unfortunately, NOTHING has changed in 15 years. The decor was dated and drab. They removed the pickle bar, and because we were seated next to the kitchen entry, we could see a sign warning staff to limit the number of pickles they serve per patron. I assume COVID was not kind to their bottom line, but the pickle bar was kind of the one bonus to going to Goldie's. The waitress was friendly and the food arrived promptly, but my husband's medium burger was well done. He did not complain and just ate it. Everything was edible but there was nothing outstanding and I don't think we will be back around again.

All I can say is I'm glad my business takes me to Tulsa! When I passed Goldie's I thought to myself a blast from the past. Could it be true?! I used to visit Goldie's all the time when they were in Edmond. So sad when they closed down, must have been a decade ago. The pickle bar was my go to and absolutely loved it! Of course that was the first thing I asked my waitress - do you have the pickle bar? Sadly, she said no but would definitely bring me pickles! I ordered the Hickory Burger dinner medium and fries crispy! Can I say perfection! Why yes I will! Just like I remember from years ago. Totally enjoyed having lunch but now I have to confess to my better half she enjoyed just as much as I do. Kim - my waitress said I could take the menu with me. Only to face the scorn of my wife when I said I wasn't hungry for dinner. Not sure when I'll visit again but this brought back some great memories! Oh how I wish you were located in Edmond!

Easy parking, mom and pop business, fast pleasant servers. Burgers look really good! I was first offered pickles (which was a new thing for me) and I asked for bread and butter as well as dill. The pickles were free and came w saltines. I then ordered the bacon cheeseburger and I ordered it RARE. And onion rings. See picture. The burger was BIG AND IT WAS A PERFECT RARE. I'm so tired of well done burgers from everywhere! This was a breath of fresh air! It was a great burger and the onion rings were good too. The crowd was a little older,so either the younger set hasn't found Goldie's yet or it's not hip enough (they don't know anything about good burgers anyway). Anyway, I'll be back. May I'll try the hickory burger next time!! Service was fast, got my food quickly and ambiance is casual. A great place to visit.

There's plenty of sauces to choose from, one comes with the combo & I got the Rooster Sauce - which is maybe in the middle on spice level. Each sauce is labeled on the menu with the heat levels at the location (doesn't show online). I really liked the fries. More of a thin cut, nicely seasoned. The Texas Toast was slightly buttered & has a subtle sweetness to it. Speaking of sweetness, the Rooster Sauce is a sweet & spicy chili pepper sauce & paired well with the tenders. There were a few sauces that caught my eye, like the Alabama White Sauce, Comeback Sauce, even the Habanero Oil. The customer service here was really good. I was greeted & my wait was not long one bit, my food was ready in not even 5 mins. The place was surrounded by TVs. I went around lunchtime & it got pretty busy.

I love that they have these incredible egg sandwiches as well as real deal Korean corn dogs. If you've never experienced a Korean corn dog it's very different than an American corn dog because you can get sweet potato or regular potato on the outside or you can just get the really crispy outside batter. then they have all these sauces or cinnamon sugar that you can sprinkle on your corn dog and it just makes it that much better. It's super affordable and a really great spot especially if you wanna try something different and yummy. Everything is made to order and doesn't take too long.

I went with the classic, it gave me the idea of this spot & to try just about every option on the menu. The Classic was coated & fried to perfection. Light & crispy, made for dipping (you can get up to 3 cups for sauces). As I was waiting for the order to be ready, there were numerous condiments to choose from like chili, sriracha, garlic... I went with the sriracha & the chili. I enjoyed both sauces, I like to try chili sauces by the restaurant & theirs is the way I like it. The wait didn't take long at all, especially with me having a Mochinut to hold me over. I went with cinnamon sugar, which is something I'd usually go for anywhere to let me know how good to other flavors will be. All of the flavors caught my eye & there were plenty to choose from (like mango & blueberry to name a couple). Outside of those selections I made, there's another thing they're known for, they egg toast. The Teriyaki one is the one I might have to try first. The staff was nice. As if all that wasn't enough, they also have slushes.

Encroaching on a seemingly crowded market can be tough but somehow Howdy feels like an already-established diner. While many newer burger places attempt to overwhelm the consumer, Howdy Burger's approach seems to be keeping things simple and delivering what the people want while staying true to the "burger joint" identity. I've had Howdy Burger 2 or 3 times through the years. My first visit was likely in/at Mother Road Market but a more recent visit was on October 29th (2025). In the midst of an economic stall (the federal government was shut down for 4 weeks at that point), eating out seemed like a luxury. I visited around 2pm for lunch. The weather was chilly and the staff was readily available. I was greeted and I browsed the menu for about 2mins before ordering. I ended up getting a single burger & rodeo fries. Afterwards, me & the lady cashier had a brief conversation about the state of the world as business was slower than usual. The restaurant isn't huge but it was well maintained. I sat near the West windows and the food came out shortly after. The highlight of the food was easily the burger itself. It was a decent size, the bread was soft, and the patty was just thick enough. Each bite was equally satisfying as they didn't hold back on the toppings. I will say that the fries are pretty standard, even with the extra toppings. I don't think the Rodeo Fries are worth wild but it didn't hurt to try. Lastly, I LOVE the variety of sauces they offer and the staff are happy to add them directly onto the sandwich or place them on the side. I've since returned to have the Fried Chicken Sandwich and it was just as good, if not better, than most famed chicken sandwich spots. I wasn't familiar with Howdy for a while and, as mentioned, there are many other places to get a cheeseburger, sandwich and/or fries. But what I like about Howdy is that they don't try too hard, they know what sells and they offer great service. Considering the price, consistency in their products and good people behind the counter, Howdy Burger is good enough to replace your favorite burger chain and/or fast food spot.

The onion rings were excellent -- crispy, well-seasoned, easily the highlight of the meal. The burger was fine, so the kitchen clearly knows how to handle basic grill items. The problem was the sandwiches: * Cheesesteak was dry and under-seasoned * Very little flavor overall * Bread wasn't bad, but added nothing * The chicken cheesesteak had the same issues, so it's not just the beef There was also an order issue: asking for no onions resulted in no peppers either, even though peppers were wanted. That suggests the toppings are treated as a single mix rather than customized. Grill'd seems to do burgers and fried sides well, but the cheesesteaks don't live up to the name. If you come here, I'd recommend sticking to burgers or onion rings and skipping the cheesesteaks.
