This is for the Spencer location. This is a small place located across from the Post Office. There is about a dozen or so tables inside and a bar seating for about 5 people. I've only gone in for Take out/Pick up, so I can't comment on service or drinks. The food is, O.K., not horrible either. One step up from mediocre, depending on what you order. I usually get the chix parm. First few times they were skimpy on the red sauce, so I ordered a side of it and of course didn't need it. May had been the opposite had I not requested. I have no complaints of my dinner. It's good, but NOT fantastic. My mom got the Broiled Haddock, she complained it had to much crumbs and seasoning, and was dried out. My wife got the Boneless Buffalo Wings. She didn't realize that the Buffalo sauce is ALREADY on the chix, she though it would come as a dipping sauce. One should request it in the side so the chix will stay crispy. Trying one, it tasted like it could have used a little more time in the fryer. Spencer is a tough place to have a small business. Connect prices are reasonable, and the food isn't bad. But definitely has room for improvement. read more

This is for the NB location. I've been a handful of times now over the last year or so, and although I don't love the vibe in there, the food is very very good! They also serve a homemade focaccia bread with dipping oil that is drooooool worthy. I recommend trying the meatball appetizer, four huge delicious meatballs for a great price. I stopped in at Connect Restaurant in Spencer for an early mid afternoon dinner. The place was of course was not busy, so I sat down at a comfortable booth in the dining room. The place has a homey atmosphere and by the name of the restaurant "Connect" they encourage you to "unplug" your cell phone, place it in a special holder in the booths, and "Connect" with others in your party (friends or family). I believe there was another Italian restaurant in Tewksbury that also discouraged cell phone use during meals with family. However, since I was by myself, I needed to "connect" with my friends remotely, lol. Anyhow, I looked over the lunch & dinner menu which has sandwiches, burgers, salads, pasta dishes, starters, wings, soups, seafood, steaks, chicken, and desserts. They serve Coca Cola products here. The prices here seem fair, most entrees $11.99 to $22.99 range (in 2022). They also offer $9.99 entree specials on Monday - Thursdays. I decided on the Beef Lasagna ($16.99 plus tax) which included a side salad and garlic toast. The side salad came out first, which was a small bowl with crisp iceberg lettuce, shredded carrots, tomato, cucumber, red onion, red cabbage and dressing on the side. The beef lasagna was a good sized piece with layers of cheeses, ground beef, lots of thick tomato sauce and melted mozzarella cheese. The lasagna could've been hotter, which it was just warm at best, but the lasagna was very hearty and filling. The small garlic toast pieces were very buttery. I passed on the dessert offer and given the check, which had a QR code to pay online with credit card via the Toast platform, easy and convenient! Overall, the food I had tasted pretty good and I would like to return to try other things on the menu including the popover and French onion soup to start my meal. read more

This is for the North Brookfield location.. I had the lamb special, and it was good. however, the food temperature was tepid at best. whipped potatoes and vegetables were the same temperature. seemed like it had been sitting for a while waiting to be served. Luckily we were not in a rush as it seemed to take an excessive amount of time to be served. My wife had 'baked stuffed haddock'. Well, it was baked. but there was only a little bit of stuffing drizzled over the top of it. And, again, all of her food was not hot, but tepid at best. The singer was great. She was loud and articulate enough to understand, but not so loud that you couldn't have a conversation. that was pretty much the only saving grace. Not likely that we will be back. read more

This is for the Connect in North Brookfield. Up till now always had good food and service. But tonight was terrible. 1- we ordered Appetizers to start before dinner. Brought out the bread that is normally awesome. Soft and tender but tonight it had very hard crust and tough. 2- as we sat waiting for our appetizer the waitress brought out our main entree instead And said where's are appetizers ? And said they'll be out soon. And wanted to bring out the appetizers with the main course. We said no. Take the main course back and give us the appetizers. ( small salad & Stuffed mushrooms, Chowder ) it took awhile for them to come out. So by the time we were ready to eat main course it was barely warm. Wife took one bite and couldn't eat it. Had it boxed took it home. I had to eat mine because I'm diabetic and needed to eat. Same as the guest that was with us. 3. Was disappointing because it wasn't that crowded at all. ( Never ever bring out appetizer's after bringing out the main course especially when the tables are small in size. ) and having to ask where the appetizers are. 4 - after removing appetizer plates bring out the main course hot as it should've been the first time. A good waitress keeps an eye on the Tables and puts in the order for the main course when see see's that the Appetizers are almost done. Or at least check if they are ready for the main course. We went for breakfast, waiter was very nice. We had the corn beef Benedict with home fries, and Egg bacon and cheese on a bagel with home fries. Corn beef was good, egg was cooked ok, did get a bite of eggshell, the homefries was very undercooked and flavor was off. Sandwich was less then mediocre. There is better options in Spencer for breakfast. I would avoid there breakfast. read more

Great local spot for comfort food. The food is all an excellent rendetion of what you order. They kindly hosted my father's after funeral meal. From the initial call with them and the custom menu within my budget to the easy peasy communication throughout the planning during a difficult time they were amazing. The manager Chiara was the most lovely and professional to work with. For food we had stuffed salmon, chicken piccata, eggplant lasgna and apple crisp. Even served buffet style it was fantastic. The connection in North Brookfield got the baked stuffed haddock over cooked over priced for the portion size Mark, the bartender was a very nice guy. Staff is extremely friendly & the restaurant has a homey feel. The restaurant looks like it was recently updated. Drink specials looked amazing. Wishing I could give 5 stars but the pasta sauce was not my favorite. Had very little taste & watery. Beef lasagna could use more flavor as well. On the other hand the chicken parm was very good (minus the pasta with sauce). This restaurant seems to have a lot of potential. I will be back to try the steak/seafood, & breakfast next... hoping to have better luck. read more

We ordered from here for the first time tonight not knowing anything about it, just wanted to try something new. We ordered food to go and could not believe how unbelievably delicious everything was. The ultimate burger was cooked to perfection and might have been one of the best burgers I've ever had. The service was quick and very friendly and they got our large order perfect with 0 mistakes. We 3 stopped at the connect restaurant in n. brookfield on 5/18 and it was a twilight zone nightmare.We got seated near the entrance door which you had to get up and pull shut every time someone came in. Then we got swamp water to start out. I asked for a bud draft..sorry ...sorry the draft beer is down. When we ordered we were not offered any rolls and waited nearly 1hour for our meals that came out individually 10 mins. apart. 2 other tables sent their food back because it was prepared wrong and a third party cancelled their order after 45 mins and walked out. There was no silverware rolled in napkin on all tables and you had to catch the waitress on the fly to ask....When it was all over I asked to used the mens room where there was a loud squealing fan and no lock on the door...W0W!!!!!! First time there. The Prime Rib was very good at 25.99 cooked perfectly and tender. Steak Tips were cooked perfectly and tender at 21.99. We did not like the marinade. I assumed they would have a few onions/peppers but I should've asked or they should've been offered, I would've paid extra. I think a little bit of a vegetable of the day would be a nice compliment to the plates. Service was very friendly but super slow, only half full dining room. Live music by Lori Brooks was great! My 1/3 glass of wine was 12.00 and my Creme Brulee was 9.00. Both a bit high in my opinion considering casual atmosphere etc. My drink and dessert cost as much as my meal. We also had 2 Diet Cokes which were poured from a warm 2 liter bottle with a couple tiny ice cubes. The drinks took forever due to employees chatting as we could clearly see. We will probably give it another shot. I will try a different menu item and skip wine and dessert. Have attended twice with either family or friends, and both times all of us were very pleased with our meals. The menu and pricing are very appropriate for a local small town restaurant. Restaurant pricing has risen over the past few years and Connect has a wide range of fare. Bolognese, steak tips, prime rib and chicken were savory and cooked properly. Wait staff were attentive and happy to answer questions. It's worth a try! read more

I live a across the street , I'm so excited that's we have a restaurant coming to town wanted to support the neighborhood. First time I came here the foods was good , the following weeks came back again with my son. I order spaghetti with meatballs , they give me the wrong order . Waited for awhile so my food finally came and the pasta was wet and the sauce watered down and my meatball cold and nasty.. my son order steak and shrimps it was ok and the loaded mash was cold and taste like the one in the box they heat up.. I'm so disappointed when home hungry and angry the same time so I have to order Mexicali to bring home. read more

We came here on Valentine's Eve and we're excited to give this new place a chance, as we had loved Five Loaves. We got the shrimp and lobster risotto from the Valentine's Day menu and the baked stuffed haddock. We got the Valentine's Kiss and the special champagne margarita from the VD cocktail menu. The margarita was served in a small champagne flute and the Kiss in a mug with plenty of ice. They were pretty weak. The price for them was a shock, as we thought these were advertised at $5 each. The Kiss was $10 and the TINY margarita was $9. The baked stuffed haddock was slightly overbaked and it was difficult to discern any crab that was listed as a stuffing ingredient. The mashed potatoes were garlicky and delicious and the vegetables were fresh and well cooked. The risotto had a good amount of shrimp and a nice creamy sauce with spinach. It was completely disappointing though, that the "lobster" turned out to be imitation lobster, which doesn't taste like or come close to the texture of real lobster. I think if you are serving imitation lobster, it should NOT be called lobster on the menu, especially due to potential food allergies. We gave it a try. We might have considered coming for breakfast, but with so many excellent breakfast pieces around, we probably won't. The country music was not to our liking, and it was much too loud. read more
