The maintenance teams have never let me down. I've been living here since 2018. Whenever I needed help on plumbing or electric issues they always showed up on the same day or next day after receiving an email notice. Jose, Marvin and Luis were friendly and efficient. Especially Jose. I saw him started fixing the security gate once we received the gate broke down email notice in the early morning. As a resident here I felt secured and stress free because they were the best and would fix the stuff no matter I was busy at work or not home. I lived here from 2014 until 2021. Initially, it was a great experience. The location near the BART was nice, and Dublin itself was a great little town. Over time, it became much worse. The rent perpetually increased, but if you were able to bargain, you could mitigate it. The security gate for the garage was consistently broken, enabling any rando to enter at will. My car was never broken into, but my bicycle was stolen. The elevators were bright, but mostly dirty. The smell of the neighbors' food and weed was ubiquitous. Oh, and garbage was frequently dumped in the garage. I can also say that the management team was more often absent than in the office. Frankly, you can do better in Dublin. And don't try to break your lease early, because they'll do nothing to mitigate the loss and find a new tenant. read more

So glad to have finally move out. We didn't last more than our 1 year lease. To top it off they raised our rent by $220. I hear they charge for crazy things and keep most of your deposit. I would not recommend Connolly Station, especially considering the high rent and utility bills. The elevators are frequently out of order, making it difficult for disabled individuals, the elderly, and parents with young children to use the stairs. Recently, someone was even stuck in an elevator. On top of that, the garage gate is constantly malfunctioning, and as a result, our car was broken into. Keep in mind that the one parking spot is included with your rent that you're paying for! When I reported the break-in, I was told they couldn't offer any discount on rent or utilities. I also asked if there was an alternative parking spot available where the gate worked, but I was told that wasn't an option. The garage gate is repeatedly fixed, only to break again shortly after. Given that this is an ongoing issue, I don't understand why they can't invest in a more reliable gate, especially since we are paying for this service. Overall, this experience has been very disappointing, and I will likely not be renewing my lease. With the high rent and utility bills, you're better off looking elsewhere. read more

If I were to leave a recommendation for this place it would be that the square footage is great, if you can afford it. The gym is old as heck and nothing works with the machines. I cannot watch tv or plug in my device. The airflow inside the gym is aweful I have to pin the doors open to feel comfortable. The general lack of cleanliness is noticed there are constantly signs of pet droppings and piss stains everywhere. Some of the stairways smell like a Petco bathing center. There is no package delivery center or Amazon locker so your packages will get stolen. I have asked them repeatedly why this is not addressed and no one knows. The fire alarm situation is crazy, if any of the building alarms go off in your floor area it is an ungodly loud noise that is deafening. You have no control over it and are forced to wait for the fire department to turn it off. I have waited up to 2 hours for it to be deactivated. The water quality is disgusting, I had to install filters on all out faucets to feel comfortable. Which is disappointing for a "luxury" apartment. read more

Homeless everywhere : There are always homeless roaming around the building do to the proximity of the Bart. They even camp in the external stairs that lead to the complex parking lots.They use the entrances as their place to hangout No security AT ALL: The garage door breaks every 2 days, SAME AS THE ELEVATOR!!!!! Living in the 5th floor we all had to suffer!!! The other day a MAN JUMP THE GATE. I even record a video . Management did NOTHING! Management: NON-EXISTENT. They do not care about you, they just want your money and the fees. THATS ALL. Tenants: Since these are rented flats no one cares. They are loud as hell and also since the building has poor construction we could hear every single time the upstairs neighbours walk , and fight. We've been residents at Connolly Station for 6 years. In the beginning the building was incredible, BUT in the last 2 years and specifically this year, the building has gone downhill significantly. The new management does not care for the residents or any of the issues - I'm not sure if it's a discrimination issue specifically with us or they genuinely just don't care. The fire alarms go off constantly, there's been construction going on around the building for about a year now and it's still not completed. We've had our catalytic converter stolen from our car being parked INSIDE the garage - so much for a secure building. There is trash and dog poop all around the building. The gym and the pool are dirty pretty much all the time. There is zero "maintenance" of the building and the amenities. I reached out to the management about a shopping cart parked on our 6th floor and a bunch of trash inside the building, 4 days later it's still there. That was probably our last straw and we finally decided to give our lease termination notice. When we told the management the reasons for our termination, they just said "aww, sorry." It was frustrating at first, but now the management is just comical. We've been paying around $2,700 for a 1 bedroom apartment and from speaking with other tenants on the same floor - everyone apparently is charged a different rent. If you want to pay a ton of money to live in trash, that's when I'd sign up to live here (pictures attached). read more

I've been at Connolly for almost three months now. 5/5 The leasing office - The staff here are very professional, friendly, and responsive. Morgan gave a wonderful impression when I toured one of the units. She also answered my questions thoroughly when I had questions while considering the apartment. Andrew has been really helpful and friendly when I had questions during the application process and even when I moved in. I had few interactions with Danielle and she has been very kind. Overall, the staff is great and very approachable. 5/5 The apartment - I opted in for a 1B1B, and it's the best. It's close to 800sq ft and definitely feels large and cozy. I customized my place with a colored wall for the living room and painted some walls in my bathroom (for a fee per wall and within the color options THEY provided). I was very pleased the staff was able to accommodate this. It really makes the place feel like yours. I think it's really nice that I don't really hear any of my neighbors. The only time I hear them is if I am walking in the halls and I am directly in front of their door. Another thing to note is how well this place traps cold air. I rarely have to turn on my a/c on hot days because I can leech off on other peoples . Sometimes I don't even notice when it's 90 degrees out with no a/c on. I don't do well in heat so I think this is a definite perk! 3/5 The value - I do think it's pretty expensive to live here. I lucked out and am not paying at the market prices for where they are now ($2.5k and over), but there are a lot of "hidden" fees that you don't become truly aware of until you move in. You will have to pay for your own renters insurance and electricity. You will pay a community utility bill ( a collective bill that is split with all residents). Also, to add another parking to your rent is another $65-$75. All of that alone will add $200 to your rent ( not included in your rent price) so that's something you need to consider. I knew I would have to pay utility but never this much. Amenities - I haven't been able to explore all the amenities here yet since covid is still a thing, but I have visited the gym. I love that there's a gym inside the complex and is easily accessible. Depending on the time or day you visit, there may be a ton of people or you may be the only one inside. I wish the gym was a bit bigger and included a squat rack. Also, free poop bags for your dogs outside the complex which is thoughtful and encourages residents to pick up after their dog. 5/5 Neighbors - Whenever I did interact with my neighbors during my walks with my dog, everyone has been nothing but friendly! Overall, really nice place to be. Right next to the Bart station and close to a shopping plaza that includes starbucks, target, etc. The only caution is that I would budget $300 on top of the market price as I was under the impression I would be spending under $100 per month on utility. read more

I lived here for a month while relocating from state to state via a housing service. I'm pretty sure the furniture is from the housing service but the pics are for you to have an idea of the apartment. Pros: spacious, location near freeway and near shops and supermarkets. Safeway and 99Ranch just around the corner. Overall I felt secure while living there. Cons: The apartment manager is just...rude. I was planning to live here after 1 month from the third-party housing service and I asked for an apt tour (this was during Covid) for another apt to lease. A lady opens the door and just point to the key box, no words, nothing. I understood that it was Covid so we calmly check out the apt and put back the key. When I called to follow up the community manager was very rude through the phone saying she was busy, and I can clearly see her there in the office chatting with another lady. While I was there, I was out for a weekend, not at the apartment, next thing I know I received a noise complaint for that weekend! What makes noise when I'm not even at home? I tried to explain to them and I got another complaint within a week?! Another thing is with the garage and the trash. You only get one spot for the garage and there aren't many spots around the building. Also, every time I get in the elevator for the garage the smell is awful for as long as a week. We had toured a few apartment complexes in the Tri-Valley area and chose Connolly Station in the end. First of all, location. It is across the street from Bart, close to the freeway and walkable to nearby shopping. The property appears to be maintained and tended to with a high standard. The staff from the sales agents to maintenance to admin were all very courteous professional. The property is also very quiet and peaceful for a 300+ unit building. The neighbors are friendly and I can tell that they enjoy living here. Also we noticed a large amount of solar panels on the roof. It's nice to know that alternative energy technology is part of this building. Having mini split heat pumps in all rooms is also nice to have. They are energy efficient compared to central HVAC. The devil is in the details and the professionals that manage this property have the details covered. We are happy to Connolly home. read more

I lived here for three years before life dictated that I needed to move abroad. While management was meh when I first moved In, things drastically changed awhile back-- Danielle, Morgan, and everyone else are absolutely fantastic. If I had a problem, maintenance was at my door within 24 hours, without fail. If someone was in my parking spot, they did everything they could to get it open. If I had a problem, I always had a response within a reasonable time. When I started out, I was in a two bedroom unit. We were newlyweds, just starting out and sort struggling to make ends meet. Eventually, we reached a point where our careers took off and we adopted a dog, and started considering a family. And when our life situation changed, Morgan helped us upgrade to a two bedroom townhouse unit that absolutely changed our lives and made us want to stay forever-- they even helped us out with transferring our deposit. This building staff with help you grow, change, and evolve. I want to note that when we had to suddenly relocate abroad, they even worked with us on our move out fees. They were so kind and considerate when we told them how much moving abroad cost us, and worked with us on something that worked for both parties. (Also please note that my total costs were not bad, I had a dog. And I had spent 30k+ moving abroad, so my money was pretty tight at that particular moment) If I ever move back to the bay, I will not hesitate to move back into this complex. I'm fact, as I'm writing this review from Dubrovnik, Croatia...I still find myself missing it. The management team, the maintenance staff, the security...it's all phenomenal. TL; DR: Solid apartment in a great location that is very walkable with cool amenities, including EV charging stations. Through a series of unfortunate events, I have had to live in multiple East Bay apartments over the past few months. When I again had to find an apartment on short notice to move to, I was fortunate that Connolly had multiple units available. Although it is a bit on the expensive side (especially if you live alone), you get what you pay for. The interior of the apartments are nice, with built in storage space in the bathroom and closets that I'm not used to receiving in other apartments. The gym, pool, and other community amenities are nice, and open for use at this point. Finally, all of the employees that I've spoken with have been extremely responsive and helpful (Andrew, Danielle, and Sarah) with my moving in process. I'm happy to be living here! read more

My bath tub has a nasty ring around it that I have tried to get out using multiple cleaning solutions. This problem was here before I moved in and management knew it. I told them that if they need to replace the tub, so be it. They said they can't do that. The numbers and words are also rubbed off of my stove. I have no way to know what it's set on. I would advise that you look elsewhere for housing because if management doesn't care about providing you the basics which is supposed to be included in rent, they won't care about anything else. read more

This is the worst management I've ever dealt with in my life. First of all nobody is ever in the leasing office so you can't talk to anyone in person without scheduling time in advance, they say one thing over the phone and another in their email correspondence, and are constantly using "lawyer talk" to finesse you into paying more or trapping you. One example, I moved to Austin and asked to be removed from her lease. They agreed to remove me. My mom's lease ended and I never signed a new one. She was living on a month to month lease. She told them she was changing apartments in 30 days via email and they said they accepted it as a 30 day notice and now that we have turned in the keys and left the apartment they are harassing me with emails saying they need another 30 days of rent despite the fact that I asked to be off the lease. While living there my mom's apartment was broken into twice and had things stolen, her car damaged, and every month maintenance would come in unannounced with no warning to do a "check-in." I've tried to call them at least 20 times and there is no answer. The leasing managers have extensions in their email signatures but they don't work either. They take days to respond to emails and play dumb like "we were on lunch" (I called every 30 mins from 10am - 2pm... didn't realize they have a 4 hour lunch) There's no way to leave a voice mail either. Whoever employs the people working in the leasing office needs to rethink their decisions. One of the male employees in the leasing office is so staggeringly cruel to the Connolly station tenants that it's baffling he still has a job in customer service. My partner who lives in the apartment just lost her phone and needed to contact me about it, and the employee outright refused to help her during an emergency. He frustratingly said that it's not his problem, and she needed to go try the phone at target. The employees here are a joke. Don't live here if you're expecting decent human beings to help you. I'm not really the one to leave a review on a apartment complex. Let alone one I do not live at. But I just had to write this review. When entering the parking area I was a little confused on where to park. Once parked I called my friend who currently stays at the apartment complex but she was not in the area still she was running errands and I was with my children. My 7 year old had to use the bathroom very bad. While struggling with a toddler, 1 year old and 7 year old who had to use the restroom I walked into the main lobby area of the apartments while doing so, I was shocked at how beautifully set up it was, the decor and cleanliness was just wow and it even smelled so good. While calling and calling my friend to speed her up for my 7 year old, I came across a very nice woman named Alex, she was so sweet offered for my son to use the restroom walked us to the restrooms and was just so sweet and kind to me and my children. I don't know about anyone else but kind people are really few and far between. While walking back to the lobby area Alex told me she was actually the Operations Coordinator, she also spoke about the surrounding community and the area. Just overall a sweet woman. If all the staff is just as sweet as her I'd recommend this complex to everyone I know. About 15 minutes later that my friend came and I ended up having a wonderful experience there we took my children to their pool let them enjoy and play. We used their showers, everything was spotless so clean I ended up meeting another staff member Maria there as well, she is the cleaner there and was just the sweetest as well. We lived at Connolly nearly 5 years and were the original tenants of our unit. We enjoyed our individual unit and lucked out with friendly and respectful neighbors nearby. Overall, we noticed a decline in cleanliness at the community (dog poop everywhere, trash overflowing the garbage areas, etc.) and an uptick in crime in the neighborhood over the years. If it weren't for the crime issues, I'd likely rate our experience living at Connolly as 'average' for a large apartment building. Our move out experience went mainly as expected. Since we were residents for several years we received the majority of our deposit funds back, less a $150 cleaning fee and a pro-rated charge for carpet replacement. Given that there is minimal parking in the community, we ended up backing our moving truck up near the entrance of the upper parking garage and wheeled our belongings across the length of the garage on moving day. We'd witnessed countless movers do the same without issue, however, the leasing office staff taped a parking 'warning' notice to the truck window. This was especially entertaining considering that the office never took the time to ticket the many cars that illegally parked in the Connolly lot without permits on a daily basis, including that day. read more

Jose A. Manriquez installed a new dishwasher in our apartment and did an excellent job in doing it. We have been living here for about 4 years now and had started experiencing issues with our dishwasher. We raised a complaint and the next day Jose came to check what the issue was. He confirmed he would be replacing the entire unit and within a week replaced it. We are very happy using a brand new dishwasher which doesn't leave any stink after the washing is completed. We also do not see any residual dish soap on the dishes. read more

This has been the worst move-in experience ever. I've only been here less then a month. The apartment was dirty, the writing was off the stove- the writing that tells you the temperature of the stove top, there was graffiti on the front door, it smelled like sewage in the two bedrooms, the light fixtures had bugs in them, the dish washer was rusted, the staircase was extremely dusty, there was grease on the walls behind the stove, the counter tops were dirty, the dishwasher don't clean the dishes, the cover to the blinds in the kitchen sat on my counter for a week, then the other one in the living room fell off. The washing machine broke and this is how they left it. I just don't understand how this apartment complex wants full rent but i don't get full working amenities in the unit. I'm not happy and will consider legal action, this doesn't make sense to me. I pay a lot of money to stay here and I get half of my apartment delivered to me. Never-mind the fact that the carpet is cheap, the appliance are sub-par basic wholesale cheap sh*t and they need to hire more maintenance staff. I'm not happy at all with the exception of the proximity to BART. read more

Maintenance staff is great. Jose Manriquez efficiently comes within a day of any maintenance requests and fixes the issues. He deserves 5 stars but the apartment complex as a whole has a few issues. There are only 3 Electric Vehicle charging plugs, with 2 sharing power so when two cars are charging then they split the power. There are a lot of residents that have electric vehicles and they're great at moving their cars when done charging, but everyone would charge quicker if it wasn't shared power and they charge $1 per hour so the split charging means you have to charge for twice as long and pay twice as much. Fire alarms have been an issue, but it was only for a short period of time and hasn't been an issue since. I don't know about the leasing staff as I don't even think there is a leasing office in the complex, but haven't had any issues. read more

I will start off with the positives of living here! For one the leasing agent Morgan was phenomenal at her job and just overall so helpful from the moment we moved in. The location is right near the freeway and near a bunch of essential shops so that's a plus! The apartment felt overall safe and secure no break ins or thefts. Now for the not so positives... For one the Apartment manager just gave off the rudest vibe at all times. The manager felt it was okay to tape confidential letters on our door for all of the neighbors to see even though we had alerted the leasing staff of an error made on our behalf the first month we lived there. This was the first encounter with her that made me feel super uncomfortable. Another situation happened when I had a very important package delivered and I asked her if they could leave it in the office or if she could scoot it into our apartment, she was extremely rude about the situation and said there was nothing she could do to help and that hopefully the package would still be there when I got home. It's the rudeness and being inconsiderate for me, when it comes to her. So be mindful when moving in what personality you will be dealing with as a community manager. To make matters worse our upstairs neighbors were super loud when we first moved and wound up temporarily moving out on the onset of Corona for a few months and upon their return they were extremely loud and obnoxious once again. We made several complaints with the leasing office, the courtesy security patrol and etc, and yet they just continued to be loud. It was almost as if they would just drop boulders and drag them across the floor at random points of the night or early morning and not to mention they stumped everywhere they walked in their apartment. We even attempted to ask them politely to be mindful of having lower neighbors and they tried to blame the noise on their upstairs neighbor's baby lol. If you have multiple cars this could be an issue because you only get on spot and if you get home after a certain time you will have an extremely hard time finding parking on the street. There was one instance where I forgot my garage clicker and another resident literally followed me to my spot and harassed me about coming in behind him which seemed racially motivated and unacceptable being as though I showed him my keys and parking permit... That being said a call box should be added as another way into the garage for resident that forget their clicker. Please be advised that if you do not resign your lease, you will be treated accordingly when it comes to that move out charges! That being said they think that the California Civil Code 1950.5 (e) does not apply to them because they will charge you for repainting even if it is caused by normal wear and tear. They also charged me 70$ do to a urine test that I feel they staged because I myself am allergic to dogs and cats and have never had any animals in the household however somehow they found "Dog Urine" in the master bedroom carpet and they even staged it with pictures with a blue light which seemed very sketchy because the areas were nowhere near a bathroom so they definitely weren't human urine either(later after research found out that laundry detergent also comes up under the blue light which would explain the stains because that's were we kept laundry). To top it off I was charged an extra fee for a "Deep Cleaning Fee" When I can't seem to figure out what could have been deep cleaned if they charged us to replace the entire carpet and paint all of the walls and none of the rooms were extremely messy when we moved out. All in all Essex is a shady company looking for a quick come up. Aside from these issues and all of the amenities being closed the majority of the time we lived there with no compensation, I would say if you need something close to Bart or the major freeways and don't mind paying and arm and leg upon move out, and sketchy parking situations, go for it! I will add the pics in of how they justified the paint charge and the blue light photos. Rent here and be prepared for 1) Get 0 of your deposit back. Management office did not return my $500 deposit because they insist my apartment is not 'clean' and the entire apartment needs to be repainted. I have uploaded a pic to show how 'dirty' my apt is. I spent two days cleaning it and from my view of point, it is even cleaner than when I moved in. Of course, I never swiped my finger on the kitchen floor to test if it is clean like the people from the management office did when I ask them to explain which part of my apartment is not clean. Also, The only acceptable cleaning company is their contractor and if you use your own cleaning people they will ask u to provide an invoice first, then they will come and decide if it is clean in their standard, which I would doubt, would ever been met. 2) Bike got stolen and safety issues During the one year I lived, every week there was report of bike stolen from garage. The garage door always broke too, for once it can't be closed for weeks. I was also woken up at mid night once by the loud door knocking sound and found a policeman kicking at my neighbors door. 3) Management with attitudes The management office is like a revolving door. The property mgr changed 3 times in a year and is becoming worse and worse. Most of them are not very friendly and impatient when you have any question or request for them. I haven't lived here long enough (moved in during beginning of July) but I enjoy living here! :) Many families with their kids are here, as well as couples in their late 20s and 30s. Some people have awesome board game nights here too. I like the community here! Honestly I have no complaints. Noise levels are good. Buildings are clean. When I moved in, someone helped make sure maintenance fixed anything and everything we needed--nothing much--and the next day, maintenance came upon my request to help move shelves and more that I only noticed I needed after actually living there. All the maintenance guys were really friendly and chill. They even wore the in house booties without me mentioning it. So, staff is really friendly. Shoutout to Tilton!!! He waited til the last minute of closing for my friend to pick up a guest key, and helped them apply to live here as well (hehe :)!) really really helpful and understanding. I haven't had any car issues in the parking lot and I rarely see anyone else driving when I'm around so, it's been good! I'd recommend this place easily to anyone since I convinced my friend to live here! (With Tilton's help of course) I'm happy to answer any questions as a current resident. :) I am a healthcare professional in my late 20s who cares about living in a clean, safe, relaxing environment. We lived here for just one year and would have loved to stay at Connolly station even longer, however life took us to another state and the rent in Dublin was getting a little crazy. I waited to write this review until I could see what our move out experience would be like. It was amazing and easy! From the first time I toured the property, the office staff was extremely helpful. It was my first time renting and Andrew helped me every step of the way with the application process and helped me with any questions I had. After moving in, all staff was super helpful when I had any questions. Maintenance was always amazing. I only had to put in maintenance requests a couple of times but every time they came that same day, once within 30 minutes of my submitting the request! Maintenance staff is so nice and helpful. Property is very nice and clean. Occasionally the trash chute rooms can get stinky or people leave their trash on the floor there. It's usually cleared out in a timely manner. We had one assigned parking spot and paid for an extra spot since we have two vehicles and street parking is impossible if you come home at night. Noise was never ever an issue here. Of course occasionally we could hear the people above us but nothing out of the ordinary of apartment living. Move out was super easy. I would recommend anyone to live here if they can afford it! Rent was a major reason we decided to move out but our time at Connolly station was great. read more
