It's your typical Irish pub with St Patrick's Day decor year-round. Our group came by for some drinks to keep the night going. They have a pool table that costs $1 in quarters, which was fun. If you need change, they offer $10 worth of quarters for you. The bartenders were quick to pour drinks, which was great. Stopped in during the St Patrick's Day parade and the place was nicely decorated and packed. Even with the crowd, the staff were super friendly and attentive. We went after a show around 11pm and were glad they were still serving. It is a casual spot. Very noisy which is expected in a popular pub. We both had the chicken pot pie. Mine was cooked nice with plenty of vegetables and chicken but could have used some seasoning. It was kinda bland. Nevertheless it was okay and hit the spot. Service was a little slow but not bad. I have only been to Cassidy's once and it was for late night karaoke after a wedding. And for that purpose it was absolutely perfect. The kitchen was open late, which was a godsend. I am fairly certain I had some delicious nachos. It's a little hazy to be honest. I know I was happy with my food for sure, as was the rest of my group. The tap and bottle selection had enough beers to satisfy all. More importantly, our bartender was serving quickly. It was easy to order at the bar and then wander back to the tables we were using at the back of the bar. The karaoke was set up back there. And yes it turns out that Guinness pairs well with karaoke. I went to Cassidy last night while waiting for a friend. At first, everything was fine -- the music, the vibe, the people. But then Miguel, a runner (not a manager), decided to harass me in front of everyone, telling me I was in his way -- even though I was simply enjoying the karaoke like everyone else. I politely stepped aside, but he kept coming back aggressively, speaking down to me and ordering me to leave the bar. His tone was full of hostility and ego, not professionalism. It felt personal, like he had a problem with my presence and confidence. When I asked to speak to the real manager, the bartender covered for him, pointing at him and insisting "he's the manager," which was clearly not true. I said, "He doesn't act like a manager. He doesn't even look like one." At that point, they ganged up on me and told me to leave, refusing to provide a name or contact for someone in charge. I'm a woman, and I was alone -- and I felt humiliated and pushed out for no valid reason. This wasn't about space. This was about a man trying to assert power over a woman who stood up for herself. Ironically, I was waiting for someone -- we had plans to enjoy some drinks together. And if things had gone well, we likely would have tipped generously. My friend is a pilot -- generous, classy, and knows how to treat people with respect. Cassidy didn't just mistreat a woman for no reason... they also lost the kind of customer every bar wants -- good energy, respect, and no drama. I don't care how small the incident seems to them -- the way I was treated was abusive, disrespectful and absolutely unacceptable. I will never return to Cassidy, and I hope others think twice before supporting a place that protects staff like Miguel and allows this kind of mistreatment to happen. Such a fun place! My coworkers and I came here for drinks and dinner after our work event. The staff was friendly and on top of things. Even though its a Irish Pub, they had a very eclectic food menu. We ordered a ton of appetizers and just shared them. We came upon Cassidy's as we were walking around after seeing the tree at Rockefeller Center and waiting for a 10pm show at Radio City. Luckily, we decided to venture past the line of food trucks as I began to think there were no restaurants in site. Just as we were giving up hope, my wife spotted Cassidy's. The vibe inside was awesome! Very casual and very relaxing. Everyone inside was very welcoming and helpful. I started with Casdidy's Ale, which was so good, I made it two. I then began with the French Onion Soup. This may have been one of the best that I've had. For dinner, my wife and I went with the Shepherd's Pie and the kid went with Cassidy's burger. The Shepherd Pie was amazing. Ground sirloin with veggies topped with mashed potatoes AMF the gravy it was in was out of this world. If we weren't pressed for time, I would've found room for dessert but that'll be saved for the next time we're in the area. The feel as you walk through the door is you are in Ireland. The staff is friendly, very welcoming and attentive to everyone in the place. During my short visit to NYC, my wife and I hung out at Cassidy's 3 times in 6 days. We love it here! Cassidy's has a really good vibe and very nice interiors, with fun seasonal decorations. They also have a pool table for $2.00 a game! The food and drinks are good and reasonably priced and they have a really good happy hour from 5pm-8pm! The people who work here seem to love their work, work hard and value their customers. Miguel took really good care of us, but all the other employees we've met were all great!! I've been here often and after interacting with Miguel I'm a turned off by this place. He came and told us well into a game of pool we were playing that we had five minutes and came to remove the balls. I went to close my tab about and I explained I was closing cash and he ran my card. He said he'd reverse it but I made a point to say it's now a pending charge and it was fine and he tried to lie to me to say there was no charge until I went to show him my account that there was a charge. Depending on the waitress, the service can be quick and efficient or slow and non-existent, so be aware. My colleagues ordered stella ale, harp lager and bass lager. For the non-drinkers, there are soda and juices beverages. The bar menu are pretty good. We got buffalo wings (mild chicken served with celery and carrots garnish & blue cheese), fried calamari (tender calamari, fried golden & served with marinara sauce) and nachos. The "happy hour" price was $9 which is a standard price anywhere out of manhattan, but hey..they were good. -Irish Burger: 3.5/5-This was on the specials menu, it was a standard cheese burger with bacon for $17. Not bad, but not great. Cooked a little too much for a medium but I was so hungry at this point I wouldn't eaten just about anything. Decent burger just nothing fantastic.
