As for the staff and service - exceptional! When we checked in, Jessie was very cheerful and informative. Bonus: she gave us a drink ticket we could use for free drinks during their happy hours! So I enjoyed my Long Island ice tea. :) Breakfast was above what you might typically expect because they also had an omelette station!! Made to order, perfectly. The cook was quick, upbeat, and didn't miss anything with all the orders coming in. Impressive! FWIW: We live in the area but don't often visit downtown Austin and we wanted a nice place to spend the night so that we could walk to/from a nearby restaurant, celebrating our wedding anniversary. The location was perfect if you're looking for a nice hotel with reasonable prices and in close proximity to shops and restaurants near South Congress. Bonus for architecture enthusiasts: the lobby looks super cool. :)

I recently visited Austin, Texas, for a family reunion and stayed at the Embassy Suites where the…read morereunion was being held. The location is excellent, right on Congress Avenue in downtown Austin. The YETI flagship store is directly across the street, and many attractions, including the Texas State Capitol, are within walking distance, making it a great home base for exploring the city. The first impression of the hotel is wonderful. The lobby, reception area, restaurant, and expansive atrium seating are bright, open, and beautiful. The hotel's open concept design, with all guest room floors overlooking the central atrium, creates a welcoming atmosphere. The service throughout our stay was exceptional. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely eager to help. Chante at the front desk was amazing. She was compassionate, extremely helpful, and went above and beyond to assist us. Jessica was also wonderful, responding quickly to text messages and making sure our concerns were addressed. Breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay. There was an excellent selection, and the made to order omelets were outstanding. Stacie worked tirelessly preparing multiple omelets at once, remembered everyone's orders, and kept a smile on her face the entire time despite the busy breakfast rush. She was truly impressive. Unfortunately, the guest rooms told a very different story. We originally stayed in a two queen suite and were shocked by how dated and worn it was. The room had a strong musty, moldy odor that became unbearable after the first night. There were tears in the couch, a yellow stained toilet, and the smell was so strong that both my daughter and I were coughing. After we explained the situation, Chante sincerely apologized and checked to see what was available. She explained that the hotel is being renovated one floor at a time and was able to move us to a renovated room. Although it was an accessible room with a roll in shower, it was a huge improvement. The new carpet, updated finishes, and most importantly, the absence of the moldy smell made all the difference, and we were very comfortable for the remainder of our stay. This hotel has excellent bones, an outstanding location, and a staff that truly cares about its guests. Once all of the guest rooms have been renovated, I believe it will be an excellent property. Until then, if you plan to stay here, I would recommend requesting one of the renovated rooms when making your reservation.

It was our first time visiting Austin, and we had no idea what to do or where to go. They took the time to provide us with maps and personally recommended some wonderful local restaurants and attractions to visit. Kudos to the entire staff, especially the wonderful ladies at the front desk, for making our visit so enjoyable. We truly appreciate everything they did and look forward to staying here again!

Embassy Suites by Hilton 5901 N Interstate Hwy 35, Austin,…read moreTX 78723 I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay was one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I've ever had. From the beginning, we had major plumbing issues. Our toilet repeatedly would not flush, requiring maintenance to come and plunge it. Afterward, the maintenance worker rinsed the plunger in our bathtub, leaving behind feces and other unsanitary residue. This was completely unacceptable and created a serious sanitation concern. As if that wasn't enough, the air conditioning in our room wasn't working. We were moved to another room, only to discover that the AC there wasn't working either. We were eventually given box fans, but it took hours to receive them, leaving us in an extremely uncomfortable room. Customer service only made the situation worse. The front desk staff were dismissive and rude whenever we raised our concerns. Eventually, they stopped answering our calls altogether, forcing us to repeatedly go downstairs to speak with someone in person instead of having staff assist us. Housekeeping also claimed they had cleaned the bathroom after the plumber's visit, but they never came. Because the bathtub had been contaminated, we couldn't use the shower until it was properly cleaned. This caused us to be late for an important event. To make matters even more inconvenient, our toilets continued to malfunction, forcing us to use the lobby restrooms throughout our stay. To top it all off, when we spoke with management about everything that had gone wrong, we were told the only compensation they could offer was 50 Hilton Honors points for our entire stay. That is nowhere near enough to cover the inconvenience, let alone compensate for an entire weekend filled with plumbing issues, unsanitary conditions, broken air conditioning, poor customer service, and the disruption of our plans. It felt as though our concerns were dismissed instead of genuinely addressed. I have even attempted to resolve this through Expedia. I am seeking a refund based on the conditions we experienced, but Expedia requires the hotel's approval before they can process it. Despite everything that occurred during our stay, the hotel has not been willing to provide meaningful assistance. Overall, this experience was incredibly disappointing. Between the lack of cleanliness, ongoing maintenance problems, poor communication, and inadequate response from management, we did not feel valued or cared for as guests. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend staying at this Embassy Suites by Hilton. If customer service, cleanliness, and basic accommodations matter to you, I strongly suggest choosing another hotel.

Our father had a serious stroke so my sister took an emergency trip to Austin, and I am joining her in a few days. I booked quickly through Booking. I called Embassy Suites Hilton, to let them know my sister would be arriving before me, as I had loose ends to tie up before traveling myself. The woman I spoke with at the front desk simply said l, "No she cannot check in as your guest, it has to be you. I explained we had an emergency and could I please speak to the manager. She directed me to a number that was disconnected. I promptly called back and explained their manager line was not working and she transferred me again to the same disconnected number. I called a third time and finally spoke to the manager Christian. Christian, who also had the personality of a bot, explained I needed to change the name on the reservation to her name for her to check in. This is exactly what I did. I continued to email the property twice and send text messages through their "text line" ( 7 times) asking questions and asking them to contact me if anything else was needed. I received ZERO communication back. Upon check in, they told my younger sister that she needed to pay$ $1,700 immediately to stay there under the reservation, even though I expressed that I would be paying. My younger sister did not have the money on her debit card and they rejected any digital information. She had already had 4 flight delays and did not arrive until after 12am. Juan, was working the front desk upon her arrival. Once my sister was denied stay at the property, she began to cry. She was simply frustrated and exhausted. I offered to pay everything over the phone, he just said to me, that is not our policy, followed by, " I just don't want to get fired. ". Then he went into the back room and left her at the front desk in tears , while he scrolled on his phone. She was literally yelling his name for him to come back to the phone to speak with me. I said to Juan that we respect their policies but we need to find a solution. We can't put my sister on the street at practically 1am at this point. I transferred money to her account so they would let her stay for the evening. The website says the booking price for a room was around $150 a night. Somehow she was charged $700 for two nights. Even though she arrived after midnight. Literally she is just sleeping in the room. After she checks in, the room is absolutely filthy. The furniture is stained the walls are dirty, she got into the bathtub and it was filthy! Soap scum everywhere and Pubic hair was floating on the surface. Please, do not stay at this property! The staff and condition of the rooms are deplorable! If I could give it zero stars, I would give it a negative zero. Save your money and book elsewhere.

Digital check-in and check-out options were so convenient and allows access for using the elevators, room entry and access to all the hotel amenities w/out keeping up with/a physical card. You can opt for that as well or even do both. Breakfast is from 6 a.m.-9 a.m. and I can't say enough about this hotel having a fantastic set up. Made fresh with lots of options. The yogurt has options with fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries and blackberries) along with all kinds of toppings. Waffles, Bagels, 4 different types of eggs, bacon strips, tater tots, muffins and so on. Hotel room was really nice (no pic this time-oopsies) A few issues in ours: One of the USB outlets wasn't charging my phone Husband said it looked like it was pushed in and managed to get it working Shower head pressure was intense and doesn't have where you can adjust the actual setting. Sometimes we ended up using a cup to avoid that beat down. Lol. T.v.'s were synching and once I mentioned this to the front desk they mentioned you have to point directly at bottom sensor because they are sensitive and will maneuver at same time. No big situations though. Plates and utensils provided, fridge/freezer, sink w/garbage disposal, microwave. Friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend this hotel.

So that makes the shop, breakfast and onsite restaurant a poor choice unless you can't be made to leave the place. The pool area is fairly nice with great service. However, it is absurdly deep for a hangout spot. It's 4 feet at the edge and 5-6 feet in the majority of it. What this equates to is all the adults and kids hanging right near the entrances cause no one can stand or tread water the whole time they relax. This feels like a big misstep in the design and renovation of this place. Parking is bad right now. The construction around keeps you from easily driving in and out and valet and parking are absurdly priced. Hyatt should do better to give benefits to reward members in these areas.
