Located in a mini mall at the end of Beverly Hills. This place is very homey and unpretencious. Parking is free. They have pastas, burgers, salads, wraps, and breakfast all day. Lots of vegetarian options. I really like the laid back atmosphere here. Seems there is a good mix between dine in and take out. I did take out. They also have a very small outside patio but inside is best here in my opinion. I tried the smoothie which has pomegranates, bananas, and berries. It was a beautiful color pink and so tasty. The perfect ratio of sweet and savory. The portion was generous too. The tofu rice bowl was good I chose basmati rice. They forgot to give me the sauce on my to-go order so I ended up putting some tahini on it that I had at home which worked well. Hopefully next time I'll get the sauce as that is important part of the dish. We also got the vegetarian option for the pesto pasta. I liked that it came with bowties and the pesto sauce smelled and tasted so good. We loved the chocolate cake here. It has Oreos sprinkled on top and lots of frosting. Portion was generous. Huge fan of this cake.

Chicken Kabob and Beef Kabob

DELICIOUS! Is all I can say about this plate of food I got. I was working outside of the restaurant and had a little time to grub so I decided to come here instead of a fast food place and I wasn't disappointed at all. The customer service was great and made you feel very welcomed! The whole layout of the place had a nice ambiance to it I was bummed I couldn't stay long enough to eat inside but I'll definitely be back! Definitely recommend the chicken kabob with a side of beef!

Lovely people, I believe they are the owners. Had a yummy fresh squeezed orange juice and my friend had the apple, orange carrot juice. Ordered a Turkey Burger, veggies on the burger were nice and fresh and fries were also good. For dessert we tried their Cheesecake and mini chocolate croissant, very good. And to go I ordered their chicken kabob plate for my bf. Smells good and looks very tasty. Will be back.

Asian Salad w/ Salmon

Found this gem on Yelp and so glad we did. Lots of parking, indoor and outdoor seating, casual environment. Great sized salads and protein portions, not one of those place you leave still hungry. Prices are UNBELIEVABLY good for LA, or anywhere for that matter. Food was tasty and fresh! We got the Asian Salad and Caesar Salad each with Salmon. Dressing wasn't over done and everything was awesome! The owner is extremely nice and welcoming! Check this place out!

Popped in for a quick bite and was pleasantly impressed. The tofu bowl is absolutely delicious. I also really enjoyed the green tea. The stuff is friendly and gracious. If your in the area it definitely worth checking out!

We were walking to the Beverly Center from our hotel and decided to give this place a try. You place your order at the counter and it's brought out to you. I ordered a latte and a chicken Ceasar wrap. My hubby got the Eye Opener wth 3 eggs, bacon potatoes, toast, and fruit. They cooked his eggs perfectly. As he likes his eggs well done most places do not get it right but here was just right! My wrap was full of chicken and a nice side of salad. They have a bakery case full of all kinds of goodies. Service was expedient and friendly. They serve breakfast all day and the place is super clean. This was a great find!!

Loved their key lime fruit tart. The custard didn't taste that limey, but overall it was really good. Would order again!

I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich without the bread, devil eggs, and kale salad!! And OMG it was very good!! Even without the bread it was still on point!! The slaw was very tasty and yummy!! Kale salad with the peanuts was perfect! For my drink it ordered the Turnball Cabernet red wine that was suggested by Dylan and it was very good for my palette. The service was great! Dylan was our sever and he was very nice! And personable and easy going. Our order was not incorrect and it came out fresh and hot. But of course that's nothing new with Hillstone restaurants, they are all phenomenal!!! It's also located next to their sister restaurant South of Beverly. The Honor Wine is right next to it as well. It's dark and gives semi-upscale vibes! It's not that spacious since it's a bar so it's usually a long wait. I recommend coming early or trying to do reservations. This place is good for date night or a drink after work. I will return when I can!! I was not disappointed with my experience or food!! They have street parking and valet for $20! -Marshay D.

Although Black Sheep Burgers has a vast selection of hamburgers (they probably should have called the place Black Cow Burgers) I had a Chicken Katsu sandwich. It was very good. I liked the option of being able to decide what I wanted or didn't want on my sandwich when ordering. I don't like avocados, so I ordered my sandwich without avocados. There are also a vast number of sides to order if you are very hungry. I was tempted to order the 40's french fries, but the sandwich was enough for me. Professional eaters probably would have ordered several sides. There is a large seating area outside. I sat outside. Other than the traditional problem with eating outside (your napkin, like the answer, may blow in the wind) since Black Shep Burger gave me several napkins, it wasn't a problem.

It's in the sawtelle area near Olympic and predominantly Japanese food spots. Service was friendly but in this economy, not a good value. The burger prices should come with fries. 70$ for 3 people was too steep for what you get

Service was well paced with the first course arriving in a few minutes followed by the main. We didn't have high expectations for the cold tofu and okra but it was delicious and the tofu soaked up the soy based sauce and was balanced by the slight crunchiness of the okra. The waffle fries were exceptional - double fried with a curry aioli sauce. The tonkatsu and ramen were also great. The tonkatsu had a light, crispy batter and the ramen was so delicious, with the addition of corn, peas, black fungus and bamboo shoots, truly comforting. The burger was a hit, too. Juicy and flavorful. The small details here didn't go unnoticed, the unique plates, nice bamboo chopsticks and cute hippo candy plate. We chose to sit in front by the open windows since it was such a nice afternoon but the dining area further inside was welcoming, too. I've also been here outside of DineLA and it's just an overall solid experience.

Update- was really looking forward to dinner at Chubby Curry. My friends and I have patronized this…read moreplace since it opened. It was our go-to place for almost two years. We hadn't been in about 6 months and decided to drop in for dinner before a movie- Wow, has it changed- and not in a good way. There were fewer staff and they were spread thin, with not even half the tables full. The place was a little unkept. The menu is all digital- so we had some questions ordering our favorites. We got the Wagu steak with rice and curry and the breaded chicken breast. When the Wagu arrived it was unrecognizable- brown and looked over cooked - no pink. The entire dish was completely unappetizing. It was sad looking. I tried to show the server that this looked nothing like the menu photos in the front wall. He was already flustered and told me "to calm down ma'am" and that is "how it comes- we put soy sauce on it." The calm down nonsense was a real put off. My next question was, why is a restaurant putting soy sauce on perfect Wagu? None of the menu photos show soy sauce. We have never had soy sauce drenched Wagu here ever. The amount of soy sauce - if any-- is up to the guest. We all have our sodium preferences, right? I personally liked their Wagu plate as is. I tried to get the server to follow me to the front wall to show him the photo of all their Wagu dishes on their front wall and he was really not happy. Those photos were how their food always looked- fresh- colorful and delicious looking. The comparison was stunningly different- he would not hear it - and was visible upset with me. Sending this back caused quite a problem- more like an argument with the server who insisted this is how Wagu comes. It does not and I posted a review previously with photos from several visits to this once fun to eat at place. They offered to remake it and I caught the server and chef's convo. Chef was bewildered with the whole no soy sauce thing. The server came back with a small piece of Wagu in a service cup to show me what their Wagu looked like before the soy sauce bath. It was not the bright fresh pink. It was gray, like it had been prepped a couple days ago and refrigerated. Completely unacceptable and not appetizing. I told them to please not remake it. It would be a waste and please Just remove it and we'd order something else. The server was so upset with me he told me he would remove everything and not charge us at all. I felt that was unfair to the restaurant and his attitude was like don't order anything, and do not come back. My guy friend insisted that we pay and the server came back with a bill for just the chicken. I gave him cash for everything we ordered including the Wagu, and he brought me almost all the money back. I was particularly insulted by this. This was such negative energy- I did not want to touch it. I left all the money on the table and left. Message to the owner- replacing servers with digital menus does not lessen their work. it increases their time explaining what dishes are and how dishes come. You need more people because servers have more work in less time. I really felt for this server and did not feel any of this was his fault. The quality drop in food, the excess work due to digital menus, and food not matching the promises made in photos at the front wall from opening day are not your server's fault. We were expecting the same consistency and were sadly disappointed. We will not be returning.

Burgers are the perfect vehicle to go a different direction and Ban Ban is right on course with its offerings. This place was good. A word on the service. It was on point and pretty much what you would expect. BUT We watched them go out of their way when a customer who appeared to be Neurodivergent came in and ordered. They were awesome and that kid had such a smile on his face when his burger arrived. I would give this place 6 stars if yelp would let me. Grapow Smash: Typical smash burger with a perfectly cooked egg. The resulting gooey yolk was glorious and the bun did its best till its structural integrity failed with about 2/3rds yet. The Grapow added quite a bit of heat but the sweet potato fries helped to tamp that down. The only thing that kept this burger out of the top 5 was the pickle. It simply was blown out by the onslaught of richness and the burger needed a briney element to provide balance. We are in nitpicky range here with this. This burger slides into a tie at #8 in my rankings and is the highest ranked fusion burger so far. Sweet Potato Fries: Not on the rotation currently according to reviews (lets face it I am behind in my reviews) but perfectly fried, and helped tamp down some of the heat.
