lamb merguez sausage sandwich, beverly burger
    Bethany L.

great service and in a nice quiet spot in the 5th story of the beverly mall. overlooking a view of LA! The food was ok, nothing special- got the lamb merguez sausage sandwich (19$) , small portion for the price. the le beverly burger (20$) was better but also not worth 20$ without fries included. LA prices but not nearly the best in LA- you can see the single lettuce and tiny sausage portion in the sandwich.

We went shopping at Beverly Center Mall on Sunday and had lunch at Nicolas Eatery, since it's located inside the mall. The restaurant is on Level 6, near Bloomingdale's Court, and offers a great view of Hollywood and DTLA. We tried the Caesar Salad with added Salmon ($16 + $14), which was great! I loved the salmon--it wasn't salty at all and was very tasty. The Tuna Burger with added Fries ($17 + $5) was also great; the tuna was fresh, and the fries were delicious. The Thuy's Pho with Beef ($24) was okay for me, as the broth was a bit too salty for my taste. The Crème Brûlée ($12) was amazing! We absolutely loved it--it was so good and a must-try! The service was great, and our server was really friendly! We will definitely recommend Nicolas Eatery to our friends and will visit again to try more dishes and desserts!

Located on the sixth floor at the Beverly center with amazing service and really great lighting and views of LA. Started off with the bread and butter for $6 which was salty, warm, and delicious. The steak frites was good but they did put this red wine sauce on top which I wish it was on the side. Amazing service so warm, welcoming and friendly.

Came in after the Apple Store. This place is in the 6th floor near Bloomingdale's. Great view from the window side . Clear eve can see all the way to downtown. Literally no one else here . I bet they do better at lunch on sat and Sunday. 5 pm on a Friday, not so much. Ordered the steak frites , with a side salad . Medium rare. For the price point, Iwas anticipating something kinda good. Well, I guess it was fine. I do like medium rare, but the meat was a little bit too rare for even me. however, I ate it all.. not sold on the wine sauce, but I just like au poivre too much. side salad was decent. It had kind of a funny little horseradish flavor in the dressing. Fries were on point. It was a good meal. Service was friendly.

Right off the escalator as you enter the 6th floor of the Beverly Center on the Bloomingdale's side this little cafe has a beautiful view facing east. Food is pretty good - we had the their hamburger with fries and their crispy chicken sandwich. Their menu is simple, easy for a quick bite. Service was friendly and casual making the whole experience a nice pleasant surprise.

    Seafood Pasta

Today I had the seafood pasta and there were so many things wrong with it. First, the portion was tiny! If a seafood pasta is going to cost $29, it needs to be w larger. There was an overcooked sliver of salmon laid on top of salty pesto noodles and three overcooked shrimp. The shrimp was so overbook the burnt skin was inedible. I hoped that dessert would make up for the meal, but all they had was a cookie and chocolate croissant, which was over microwaved so the chocolate was overcooked. The service was friendly. The ambiance was chill. The food needs work.

I stumbled upon this place as I was shopping at the mall. It is located inside the Beverly Center Mall. I just have to give it the best review. Their service, our waiter took care of us so well and answered all of our questions. The food was fantastic. We tried the Ceasar Salad, and all I could say is that its one of the best ones I have ever had. Also, the Steak frites. The sauce and the tenderness were A+. The location in the mall is really great, its nestled in one of the best corners of the mall and it works perfectly when you need a break and some good moments.

Beautiful restaurant on the top floor of the Beverly Center. Service was great, and her food was made to order quickly. We really enjoyed the salmon as well as the eye, not a huge fan of the chicken as it was dark meat. The salads and fries here are tasty as well and they have some nice cocktails on their menu. Great views, and not too busy, great dining, optional shopping at the mall!

    French Onion Soup & Chardonnay
    Swati L.

Phenomenal French Onion soup. I tried both white wines by the glass and they were both beautiful examples of French wine, the only Chardonnay I can drink! Service was warm and attentive and the had Portlandia playing on the tv at the bar, so I was a happy camper and left satisfied and ready to shop and stroll.

A quaint and charming french restaurant in Malibu. The servers were all friendly, replenishing our water changing our plates and utensils around, and even putting on romantic (how?) birthday music just discreet enough not to be embarassing but joyful on my occasion... hehe). Definitely knew how to make a girl feel special with a delightful creme brulee at the end. Bibb salad was awesome. If I ate this everyday I'd be satisfied and healthy. It's no wonder the French look so great. The bread had a little kick which was good for me, not great for my date. Olive spread was a little on the salty end. Chicken was good. Would have gotten the moules frite but they ran out of mussels. had the lobster roll as well, and I was that impressed with that to be honest...lobster meat was ample but the consistency and taste just didn't fit well with the bread. It was probably the bibb salad dressing. Their fries were good!

First time at this place and I really liked it, the food and the drink was really good, the service was excellent and atmosphere was very nice, it's so fun to seat by the window on a beautiful day and enjoy good food and drinks, if you in the Beverly center I highly recommended

I would give Nicolas Eatery a five star review even though the overall menu and food do not constitute a really high level culinary grade. The environment, the vibe, the service, and total experience certainly make up for it. The food is actually quite good also. I was in the area for a wedding and needed to find a restaurant close by for a Saturday lunch with two other ladies who were also from out of town. Yelp was really helpful for finding good places in unfamiliar areas. We had a lot to catch up and ended up staying for a long time (about two and a half hours) in the restaurant. It has a lot of natural sunlight, and feels very cozy, comfortable, and welcoming. They also have a rooftop patio if outdoor dining is preferred. Two of us ordered their lobster roll which came with French fries, and it was really good. I especially enjoyed the lightly toasted warm brioche. There was a generous amount of lobster which was fresh and tasty. The fried chicken sandwich that my friend had also looked delicious. Service was very attentive and warm. Water was constantly being filled and we were not rushed even though we stayed for a long time (the restaurant got busier as we sat but no one was waiting for a table). It was a wonderful and really pleasant experience!

    Gorgeous bar!

The lights and ambiance are truly insane. I have never experienced anything like it. Let me backtrack too and say that I paid $14 for valet which tbh is not too bad considering I didn't have to worry about my car or anything so it was worth it. Okay the food. We got Parker rolls and the Mezze plate for the table. Wow, the Parker rolls were as you would expect. Buttery goodness. French butter as you know...top tier. Okay the Mezze plate? Every single sauce was so good. The little cous cous thing in the Mezze plate was so cute and yummy. Then the main dishes. Seven vegetable couscous was great. As a Moroccan, I can say it was a great vegetarian version of the dish. Has the staple veggies you look for in a cous cous. My friend got the vegan cauliflower steak and that was so beautiful and tasted delicious. It was a great dish for my vegan friend. Our waiter was so nice and really personable as well. The heirloom tomatoes on the caprese were delicious, and the matcha latte was very good. But for a place positioning itself as French comfort food, I expected much more from the basics, especially the bread. The bread and butter side was surprisingly underwhelming, and even the caprese bread felt more Trader Joe's caliber than French café. The biggest disappointment was the $18 French onion soup. I swear the frozen French onion soup from Trader Joe's is better. The fries weren't particularly French either, more like standard diner fries. Service was nice but lackadaisical, and the additional 4% Healthy LA charge is annoying. It just makes an already overpriced meal feel more overpriced and forces you to mentally adjust the tip. Overall, I think this place works better as a sip-and-chill café than a culinary destination. Food came out pretty quickly and it was a good portion for the price paid. The flavors in the bourguignon were balanced and not overpowering - there were lots of pieces of beef throughout as well. There were plenty of pomme frites for 3 people to share easily and were light and crisp. Because we were seated in one of the walkways for the rest of the market, depending on the time of day you go, it can vary in terms of noise levels. The escargot is probably the best I've had. I loved how buttery it was and the snail itself was so fresh and tender. I'd definitely repurchase this on another visit. I even dipped some of the baguette bread (which had the best crunch!) into the butter and it was perfection! For our mains, we got the sea bass with lentils and the Alaskan halibut, and both were prepared perfectly down to taste and texture. Everything about its execution felt very intentional. Overall this restaurant layout was pretty cool and the night we went the noise level was moderate but I can see that if its packed this place could get loud. Food is always an area that I leave up to everyone's own taste. To me I felt some of the dishes needed more salt but I always enjoy my food from how the chef prepped it so I can try new dishes.
