The entire experience was pleasant and definitely focused on making it as comfortable as possible for the child, but still including and respecting the parent. I came across Dr. Ham by having to find another dentist who could fit me in rather quickly due to a couple cavities that were painful, where my normal dentist couldn't. I'm glad it worked out this way cause I like Dr. Ham and his staff a heck of a lot better than my previous dentist. Dr. Ham's office was able to fit me in for a quick X-ray to see if I needed a couple root canals the next day. The day of apt the awesome receptionist called me in the AM as a client cancelled and asked if I wanted to come in earlier. I said perfect. Glad that worked out in my favor as well cause I didn't need a root canal, instead it was just a couple cavities. Thank goodness for the cancellation because he was able to complete one filling right then and there. Dr. Ham is honest, kind and professional. You feel at ease with Dr. Ham and staff. Let me just start off by saying that dentist offices give me anxiety like no body's business. That being said, I have never in my life had such a calming, and professional experience. If a visit to the dentist can be described as wonderful, this one was. From the nice lady at the front desk, to both dental hygienists, to Dr. Ham himself. Everyone was friendly, courteous and knowledgable. And no one by any means tried to push a procedure that I didn't need! I would highly recommend this office especially in a world filled with franchise dentistry that pushes everything just to get your $$$ And watching Despicable Me on the ceiling while my chair is flipped all the way back didn't hurt either . Dr. Ham was fantastic. I had a filling fall out and they saw me with very short notice. Within an hour of initially calling them, I had a new filling and was on my way. Dr. Alex Ham is very gentle,experienced in many areas of Dentistry and explains options that can be helpful in making a right choice for me! I brought my Granddaughter in for a cleaning,the hygienist Donna was so friendly . My granddaughter felt very comfortable and even got to watch her favorite movie! Dr Tiffany is absolutely amazing! My 4 year old daughter had fillings completed at her office last week and I was sure that it would be a difficult process for her. Not only did she complete everything that needed to be done, my daughter continues to ask me when we are going back to see Dr. Tiffany because she had so much fun there! Dr. Alex is also amazing! He fixed my front tooth that was chipped and you can't even tell there is a filling material on it! He made it look better then it ever did before. Very pleased with the results. My family and I are patients of Dr. Alex and Tiffany Ham and they are just great. My kids see Dr. Tiffany who is a pediatric dentist and she makes their appointments fun. They enjoy the whole experience from watching cartoons from the ceiling mounted TVs, getting their cleaning and check-ups, to earning a token to get a prize from their toy tower. Dr. Tiffany has a great bubbly personality that makes the kids feel at ease (having your kids giggle at the dentists is no easy chore). My wife and I see Dr. Alex and he's been awesome. He does a great job explaining his findings, what he's doing, your options, and he doesn't get pushy on his recommended treatments. Another nice thing is that they were open Saturday (they may be open every other Saturday) which makes it convenient for us since we work during the weekday. It's a great place to bring the whole family, I highly recommend their office. read more

Dr. Tiffany is fabulous! She is so warm, welcoming, and patient. She is wonderful with children, helping them to feel comfortable and safe. Nothing about the appointment feels rushed, which is particularly important with a hesitant toddler. She is very thorough and clear in her explanations and recommendations after the exam. She offers many kid-friendly features such as a play table in the waiting room, ceiling mounted tv in the exam room to play a favorite show, and a stuffed dinosaur complete with a full set of teeth that kids can brush with an oversized toothbrush. Alexander Ham is up to date with the latest filings available. He was clear about the fact the the new Bio filling may or or may not take to my tooth, but if it did it would prevent a root canal. Always a plus in my book. Even if it does not take, I was more to happy to know that he was already offering this Bio filling. I thinks its a true sign of someone who has become a dentist en route of passion and interest which is why I will continue to see him from now on. BEST DENTIST I'VE EVER BEEN TO!! I am a total baby when it comes to mouth pain. I had to have a tooth pulled & I chose to go to Dr. Alexander Ham to have it pulled. I DID NOT FEEL A THING! Dr. Ham used a technique to numb my mouth that took longer than most dentists would have but the result was ZERO PAIN! Plus He was very reasonable on the price to have this work done. When I was a kid, I didn't like going to the dentist. My kids on the other hand, love going to the dentist. If I had Dr. Ham as my dentist as kid I would too. They're great dentists and more importantly, good people. The staff there are super friendly too. If you have kids and looking for a dentist, go see Dr. Ham. Simply Amazing! Dr. Tiffany and her assistant Lauren took great care of my daughter this afternoon. My 4 year old had hard time at our general dentist and we are so glad to find her. I was loosing sleep worrying about how my kid would respond to her new dentis, but Dr. Tiffany and her team made us feel at ease from the moment we step into her office for consultation visit. I would highly recommend Contra Costa Dentistry, they make it fun and it was a great experience. My three-year-old especially liked watching a movie on the ceiling and earning prizes. He even sat still for a full cleaning and x-rays which I never thought was possible. All day he kept saying "Mommy, the dentist is FUN!" which to me deserves MORE than 5 stars! read more

Dr.'s Tiffany and Alex are amazing. My daughter was so afraid of the dentist that her former DDS prescribed Valium to help her get through a regular exam. She now asks to go to the dentist! Dr. Tiffany & Dr. Ham were both so amazing yesterday (a Saturday) when we had a dental emergency!! My 3 year old fell in the backyard & knocked both her front teeth out, so we called Contra Costa Dentistry immediately & Dr. Tiffany was amazing on the phone, told us exactly what to do & said she'd meet us at the office in 10 minutes. All on a Saturday afternoon!! When we got there, Dr. Ham was waiting for us & got us settled in the chair while Dr. Tiffany arrived. Thank goodness for the TV on the ceiling which was able to distract my daughter enough to have her mangled mouth examined. Dr. Tiffany came in & was so great with our child, and also calmed us parents down! She was so sweet, sensitive & thorough! We felt so completely taken care of from the minute she picked up the phone, through our office visit & even the next day when she checked in on us. We are so so lucky to have found them and would absolutely recommend them!! read more
