Really cute little place! Everything including seafood was fresh and yummy -- it's like an asian-style western restaurant you may find in Asia and good for those who may be bored w traditional cooking. Also stumbled into a good HH deal when I was there w $4 beers and $7 cocktails-- prices were also super reasonable... would come back :)

Oysters are fresh and delicious. Beef ribs on sizzling plate very tender with vegetables. Shrimp in scampi sauce in appetizers portion is very tasty and enough for main course. Service's is excellent!

stopped in on a whim on a saturday at 5 & had an amazing experience. we mostly had the place to ourselves which was great because we both don't like crowded spaces. the service was so attentive & atmosphere cozy with great people watching through the front window. sleek design, clean spacious bathroom. now for the star of the show: the food. there's quite a few choices that intrigued me making my meal choice a bit harder but man i'm glad i went for the rigatoni despite being hesitant. i cleared my plate, which is rare for me, but i couldn't put my fork down, yowza! so many flavors & the hint of heat was perfectly level enough to make it through the end without quitting! my friend also enjoyed his house special shrimp immensely. i will definitely be back to try more of the chefs creations! plus, chef was so sweet giving us a choice of dessert as we celebrated birthdays as well as bringing it out while singing. if you're thinking about it, give them a try!

Amazing food and outstanding service! Everything was delicious, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Will definitely be back!

My friend and I were looking for a place to satisfy both of our culinary tastes (I was craving a burger and she was craving seafood). We found this place online and decided to try it out. The ambiance is warm, and is a great vibe for an intimate family dinner, catching up with a friend or two, or a date. The restaurant is small, but doesn't feel cramped and makes good use of the space that is available. I ordered the Angus cheeseburger burger, medium, with fries, and boy was I happy! The photo does not do it justice the burger was delicious well seasoned and hearty. The fries tasted fresh and were perfectly salted! My friend and I were the only ones in the restaurant this Thursday evening just before it's closing time at 10 PM as we were shocked at how good the meal was and how empty the space was we asked how long has this place been open? Our server let us know I t's been open for six months and the chef came out to second that statement. We thanked the chef and our server for great food and good service. Check out this place if you can, it is warm, welcoming, and the food is delicious!

My bestie and I were looking for a place that would suit both our taste buds for the night. I wanted seafood, she wanted a burger; after a quick google search and menu browse, we decided on Conway diner. An Asian American Fusion Restaurant. We made it just in time to be seated as the last patrons of the night, giving our outing an exclusive feel. The overall experience? 10/10! The food quality, vibe, service and price were all perfect. I had the seafood linguine, and when I tell you the seafood was so FRESH?! My friend had the burger which came with coleslaw (that was prepared more like a pikliz and I TRULY) enjoyed that ‍). At that point my friend and I were surprised that the place wasn't packed! That's when we found out they've only been open for about six months. We got to meet the chef, thanked him and our server profusely and made a promise to let everyone we know about this place. If you ever find yourself on the lower east side, make sure to check out Conway Diner!

Everything that I was served was fresh and flavorful. The staff is friendly and the ambiance is a romantic modern motif. A great addition to The Lower East Side.

Absolutely amazing food and service! I came here with my fiancé and we were genuinely blown away. Every dish was delicious, and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming--so attentive and friendly, they made us feel right at home. We had such a lovely experience from start to finish. I never write restaurant reviews, but Conway Diner truly deserves the praise. Take a look at the food pictures--we couldn't resist snapping a few because everything looked (and tasted) incredible. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for comfort food done right, with a personal touch.

I wanted to try their fish and chips after I found this small diner on 2nd Ave., so with some time on my hands, I decided to go over and have some. The place was empty but it was very neat and clean with a pleasant atmosphere and decor. The young waiter took my order and in a short time, out came a pretty plate of fresh panko breaded fish a small coleslaw with perfect French fries! I was happy with a beer and fish and chips. The dish came to $17.00 without the $5.00 beer. All in all, a very pleasant experience. I'll be back again soon! Thank you Conway Diner!

We walked in without reservation but Patrina was able to accommodate us and personally escort us to the table to be sure we are seated comfortably. Our wait staff Miles was very friendly and kind, attention to details. We really enjoyed the wines he recommended and it paired beautifully with the seafood we ordered. The oyster and uni cold starter was a wonderful kickoff, and they surprised us with a compliment starter which was really refreshing! It's thine sliced salmon sashimi dressed lightly with yuzu and sesame oil. It's delicious and it's free who doesn't like that! We had chicken wings as hot appetizers, it was done just right! The divers scallop was also super light and delicious but the sauce was on the heavy side. We finished with the black cod clay pot which was a great wrapped up. What started as a quick break turned into one of our favorite moments of the afternoon. We ended up chatting with the bartender for quite a while, swapping recommendations for speakeasies and cocktail bars around the city. It's always refreshing to meet someone who's genuinely passionate about their craft and happy to share local favorites. The cocktails were excellent, and the conversation made the experience even better. This wasn't actually our first visit--we celebrated my birthday here about three years ago, and I still remember how impressed we were with both the food and its presentation. It was nice to return and be reminded why we enjoyed it so much. We also learned that 53 has opened a speakeasy downstairs that's open on select weeknights and features live jazz. Needless to say, that's already on our list for our next trip to the city. Whether you're stopping in for a full dinner or just a well-made cocktail and a break from the Midtown bustle, 53 is well worth a visit.

Within an hour, it started to fill up due to the heat rising outside. One thing worth mentioning is that it was breathtaking inside. It has beautiful decor and just felt like I was in a different part of the world. Our table was literally a cut stone and the plates were picked with great detail. Our server was kind and patient as we agonized over what to select for our meal. My friend doesn't eat red meat or raw fish but that didn't deter me from ordering the whole royale dorade sashimi. That was really soothing and delicious being that we walked in on a day hot enough to be considered a heat wave. My friend had the Thai tea swizzle. Yes, they have refreshers (non-alcoholic drinks) along with cocktails (alcoholic). I know my friend decided on the grilled chicken Lao style which was really good, whereas I ordered the grilled branzino which came with this delicious salsa Verde. I was debating on whether to get more: looking at the other delicious salads, gai lan, and the Isaan beef meatballs, but my tummy couldn't fit in another bite. I even saw a dessert section which looked yummy (ube creme caramel or the Thai tea affogato). I would recommend this spot especially for a celebration. I did not know about the tasting menus. They even played throwback jams and I had liked how this one busser was vibing to the music as he was waiting to assist at a table. It was the food I had problems with. For appetizer I had order the Vegetable Egg roll and it didn't say on the menu that the dip was spicy nor did the waiter, my mouth was burning all through dessert, I had to drink so much water. That sauce tasted like hot sauce and I hate hot sauce!!! The sauce went through my nose and through my mouth, this sauce really messed up my pallet. I had order for the entree Thai Sweet and Spicy Shrimp, I couldn't tell if it was really that spicy because I still had the burning sensation in my mouth from the appetizer still!!! For dessert I had order the banana pudding crumble and it looked like a crumble of mess, it tasted good when you got to the bottom to the pudding. The presentation of this dessert was a hot mess, it looked like a rushed job the chef threw in the two cut banana's and the vanilla wafer cookies and chopped up the cookie and just dumped it in the dish. I did like the dish the dessert came in. My biggest complaint is that sauce never be served and the disappointing banana pudding. I mean how do you mess up banana pudding. I was taken to the second floor and was really shocked it had a top floor, just like I was stunned to learn that I had to go down the stairs to restroom. The restroom was clean. I thought it was funny how the men's room was called Yang and the woman's was called Yin. My biggest problem with the restroom was they have toilet seat covers over the toilet, but it was an empty box and I had used two different stalls before and after my meal. And I said how there was a bathroom attendant in there. For a well known restaurant, I had excepted a better experience from Tao's.

The Beef Rendang Nasi Lemak is the order I keep coming back to. On a recent lunch visit I tried the Mee Goreng from the Lunch Set menu and it was the standout of the meal: savory from soy sauce and fish sauce, sweet, spicy, tangy, and smoky from the wok. The beef pad see ew has some of the best noodles I've ever had, the sizzling steak lives up to its entrance, the shrimp summer rolls are fresh, and the chicken laksa is full of flavor.
