The coconut curry and the chow fun were pretty good, but vibes is all that matters. Downstairs is super cute and ambient love it

Thai Chow Fun (GF, V optional) with chicken

Food wise the experience was great! Nice flavors in their specials they offer. We had trouble with service - getting served, having water during the meal, and overall being attended to. There were times when our group felt like the waiter forgot we were there. Inside and outside dining options with a mix of hearty and healthy meals to order.

Came here for dinner and this was a great find Pros: + Large portions of food + Amazing noodles - ?????? is just spicy enough and has a taste of Drunken Noodles + Spring rolls were simply divine + Great drinks - I ordered a refreshing cucumber martini that was perfect for the summer Cons: - Small interior - Only take American Express or Cash. Sorry, but this is kinda ridiculous. IG: QueenOfAdventureNYC

Fried Egg Sandwich

Ok, I didn't check out the reviews before eating here but what I got was really good and the place was really chill! I kept it extremely basic and ordered from the breakfast menu and got the egg breakfast sandwich, which I would recommend! The service was great and the waitress seemed to know the right time to come and check on me. I would recommend this sandwich and salad! lol

Pineapple Fried Rice, very bland

The service and ambience were ok, but the food was abysmal. This is not considered Thai food whatsoever. I was a little concerned coming in to here given all the reviews and got a little more alarmed when the menu offered Irish, Thai and Japanese all in one. But my friends and I decided to give the restaurant a shot anyways. - Tofu appetizer was not unique in flavor and something you'd expect from an amateur chef cooking tofu at home for the first time - Papaya Salad, the only thing that was decent - Fried Chicken, for a fried chicken lover like myself, this was extremely basic Fried Chicken, weak on flavor - Fried Shrimp, don't bother, it tastes like it was brought frozen from a grocery store and deep fried - Pineapple Fried Rice - probably the worst dish. It was extremely bland. Even the pineapples weren't sweet. It just tasted like I had lost my taste buds from covid-19 and I couldn't taste anything from a fried rice like you would expect. I wouldn't return.

Predatory business with mediocre whitewashed "Thai" food, poor portions, and little seasoning. Service is horrible with no mention of it being a cash only business. Really horrible experience overall.

This is not Thai food. It might be cosplaying Thai food but bought supplies from the dollar store to make its costume. Bland. Flat. Zero spice. The ambiance is cute but does not make up for the complete lack of flavor. We had to finish our food just to make the dollar per calorie purchase worth it. If you come here just order something friend and stick to drinks.

Hobo Noodle Lunch
Sophie D.

Lunch set special is a great deal for a noodle dish and soup or edamame, with tea added for an additional few dollars. The Hobo Noodles were solid as far as Thai dishes go. I was particularly surprised by the miso soup and enjoyed the mushrooms in it. I'm sure there are other Thai establishments nearby with similar menus, and Lovely Day did not stand out as somewhere I would return to, especially since the service was near abysmal due to how understaffed the restaurant seemed. I practically had to beg for water and the waitress was nasty. It's in a great area and fun to people watch if you sit outside - just be careful because the wait staff might forget you're out there!

I usually don't check out a place with such low ratings on Yelp and google reviews but decided to give it a try since it's in the neighborhood and there's always a lot of people dining outside at the sidewalk tables. Was really hoping that the low ratings were due to one-off experiences but unfortunately the consensus is true. We ordered pork and mushroom spring rolls, ginger fried chicken, hobo noodles, red curry. Everything besides the pork spring rolls was pretty average but the spring rolls just didn't taste like anything compared to the other spring rolls I've had in the past, it was really really bland. Food on average is on the sweeter side of the spectrum. There is no "service" component here if you're looking for that. We weren't looked after and the waiter actually took away our fried chicken plate when I wasn't even done with it.... They also knocked over my beer but didn't offer to bring me a new one.... And lastly, they are AMEX/Cash only.

Pineapple Cashew Vegetables
Rachael M.

I ordered the Pineapple Cashew Vegetables entree with tofu and brown rice, which was good (nothing fantastic) and flavorful (spicier than expected), but the sauce was very heavy. We asked about other vegan entree options and there were barely any - neither of the curries were vegan, which I've never experienced before at a Thai restaurant. My friend ordered the Pad Thai with tofu made vegan (without egg and fish sauce) and it was absolutely flavorless - they even brought her hot sauce and soy sauce to flavor it since there was basically nothing in it. Please make more of your options vegan friendly! I would be happy to return if so. Be aware that they only accept cash and American Express!

The Long Hall poured the best Guinness I've had in NYC. Perfect temp and an incredible dome. The…read morebartender also happened to be an Irish 12/10. The bar had incredible wooden vibes and the music was perfect. I didn't eat but the guy next to me was eating some buffalo wings that looked like solid bar wings.

The Long Hall Pub is exactly what you want in an Irish pub. The people working here are good folks…read moreand the atmosphere can be uniquely Irish, given they had a few musicians performing and playing Irish tunes live. This particular Sunday, the crowd was a bit animated with the World Cup Final match between victorious Spain over Argentina. I saddled up at the bar and ordered a Guinness on tap poured with the right amount of head on top. It's a good tap here. I ordered the Irish Chicken Curry served half and half with white rice and French fries. It's a substantial serving for about $27 and a good value for Midtown. Strips of white meat chicken with a curry sauce that is more sweet than spicy, but certainly not overly sweet. The rice melded nicely with the sauce, which resembles gravy. The fries take on a poutine like character with the curry sauce and these are good fries on their own. I ordered another Guinness and ordered a Shepherd's pie and Irish beef stew to go, both around $25. The Shepherd's pie is as one would expect, with a thick layer of mashed potatoes over the beef. The Irish beef stew has plenty of carrot and celery chunks and some onions in a gravy with a modest amount of beef chunks over mashed potatoes. I found they go well together heated in a Pyrex dish in the oven. I found the meat in the Irish beef stew to be ironically wanting for such an eponymously named dish, but it is still quite good, with the beef tender and moist in the gravy. This is comfort food to the max. Service is great here. The atmosphere is great and what's not to like at The Long Hall. The bar is well stocked and the kitchen is up to the task, serving up what people like at a decent rate for Midtown. I would only ask to bump up the beef in the beef stew. 3.9 returnworthy stars!

Sean's easily accommodated our group of six. We started with pretzels and spinach artichoke dip…read morewith chips. The dip was hot and cheesy. Chips were replenished..eventually. The pretzels were more like warm soft breadsticks, served with a cheese dip and mustard on the side. Decor is an advertisement for Guinness but it IS an Irish pub in NYC. I had the Irish stew, a crock of hot beef and vegetables in a tasty gravy. Others in the group enjoyed burgers and salads. Next time I'll try the shepards pie. Server was pleasant and answered our questions.

Walking around New York City on a drizzly Sunday, I walked into Sean's Bar & Kitchen to grab lunch…read more Typical looking New York, Irish pub, TVs, great vibe. Service from the bartender was great. I ordered the fish and chips and a Bloody Mary. Everything was great up till then. Unfortunately, the food was a disappointment. Maybe it was a deep fat fryer thing, but I respectfully suggest the cook be given a little additional training. The fish batter was hard on the outside, and the fish was completely mushy on the inside. Like, gray mush. The fries were lukewarm. The mushy peas and the tartar sauce were served in little covered plastic disposable containers. I'm not a fan of that, but I get it is convenient. I truly wanted to like this place, and except for my one experience with the food, I would certainly return. People were having fun, and I did as well. I believe if they become a little more attentive in the kitchen, this place is a five star pub.
