I give Cook Out two stars, one for getting the order correct as the speaker had horrible reception. The other star is for friendly service. The burger was overcooked, the onion rings gave a horrible after tase and the fries were only slightly warm. Even with their good pricing, I don't plan to return. read more

Cheap prices and super fast service but not the best quality. The chicken fajita is as thin as a crepe. The chicken sandwich wasn't half bad, and the fries were decent. Coke float was as expected. We are on vacation and saw this place right by our hotel. Neither my husband nor I ever had anything more disgusting in our lives, and I am literally not kidding. There was one positive; the onion rings were decent. My husband's burger was the size of a sausage patty on a crappy full sized bun. The meat was awful, but barely recognizable it was lost due to the minuscule size. My 2 " chicken" quesadillas were so tiny , they were too small for a kids meal. By chicken, they must've used ground chicken feet. It tasted like plastic and went into the trash. I ordered a chocolate mint milkshake, only do discover it was chocolate, which I don't like. Husband had it, and said it tasted like sub par soft serve ice cream. It had to be eaten and not sipped because it was too thick. All this for a mere $17. The kid that waited on us spoke in monotone and couldn't be bothered to slap on a smile, even though we were the only ones at the drive through. His vibes were " Get me out of this hell hole!". We took a couple of hours to get over it, before making a Taco Bell run which tasted like food from a 5 Star restaurant meal after that debacle. This place is awful. The average wait time for me is like 30 minutes. I've left the drive thru almost 10 times. Every so often there's a scenario like this: You pull into the drive thru, the person tells you to pull up, so what happens? You get stuck in line for 3 hours, after the line, the worker gives you the wrong food. At that point you're done, then you would go inside, they give you your food. The food however is subpar, the burger is bland, but still better than McDonald's or Burger King. The hotdog is...it is just a hotdog, nothing exciting. Literally sat in line for OVER one hour here trapped while the other drive through line moved along. Staff doesn't know how to work short handed so instead of splitting food between two windows one line moves along and the other doesn't. I mean seriously. Elementary kids can do better. No wonder everything is closed in this city- no one wants to work and the people who do work are racking up hours doing nothing. Ordered one tray and one large cheese fries for $9.01 The tray was chicken with fries and nuggets, the nuggets were hot and fresh off the deepfryer and the nuggets were topical fast food nuggets and the chicken was fresh but a little to crispy. The large cheese fries were the same, asked for Cajun on them and I was expecting it to be in a little bag but they put Cajun on the cheese fries. Can I give no stars, just like this cook out gave no $hi+'$ about what I ordered? I ordered 2 burgers, 1 of my wife and 1 for me. Her's was supposed to have mayonnaise and she HATES mayonnaise so I asked for none on hers. Mine was supposed to have slaw and I asked for it to be removed. I had no idea that asking for a couple of toppings to be removed was code for extra of those toppings. My wife's burger had so much mayonnaise that it was dripping off of it and mine was a slaw burger. I'm sure that $15 an hour will help fix this though. This place is great, and consistent. The wait is a little long, but it's because they are understaffed. They have always been so kind at the window, and my order is correct every time. I decided to mosey on over to cook out after enjoying a nice bowl of Red Headed Stranger. I went with the Cook Out style burger w/onion rings & a Coke. Everything tasted great, down to the Coke. My burger was cooked perfectly & they didn't skimp on dressing it up. As someone who loves onions, it was a nice surprise seeing more than one measly ring o' onion on my burger.
