I was in town from Atlanta, and experienced the worse service! I had to constantly repeat my order and when I got to the window they still had my order wrong! After I asked the lady at the window to repeat my order, she immediately had an attitude for asking her to REPEAT my order after she asked me to repeat my order to her! ALWAYS a slow-moving line. The order-taking process is a struggle because the microphone situation is poor quality and the order-taker is also dealing with people at the window so you only have half their attention. It is rare that I don't have to repeat my order several times. When they had you your drink, expect to get sticky - without exception, there is always beverage on the OUTSIDE of the cup too. The staff act as though each day is the worst day of their life. This particular location does have 2 windows, as most cookouts do, but the one on the left is really only good when you have a passenger because the window is on the passenger side of the car. The only reason they get 3 stars instead of 1 is because the food is a good deal and the order is always accurate. I still frequent it and do recommend it, but it requires some patience. I work nights, and usually Cookout is one of the few options late at night. Once in a blue moon, I am greeted with someone in a halfway decent mood. However, more often than not I'm treated like the largest inconvenience they have ever encountered. I get it, it's fast food; that's pretty much the norm. But here the attitude is honestly outrageous. I asked for light onion on my burger that was part of the tray I was ordering. This is what I got. Be careful how you order and be specific. Ask for price before you pay. They do overcharge. Say "tray" or you will pay twice as much if you want fries and a drink. Don't expect help. My Favorite cookout location, the food always seems to be better here. Great place to get that midnight hunger on. No place to sit, so you have to drive through or walk up, which is hilarious. They have a $4.99 tray which comes with your burger or chicken or bbq or whatever, plus two sides and a drink. Get this: an actual, full size corn dog constitutes a side dish. Not even kidding. They have lots of others, too. Not only did this location mess up our order but they served us corn dogs so hot they melted through the styrofoam container in multiple spots. It's hard to want to eat plastic enhanced corn dogs. This place is popular so expect a high volume of traffic at any given time. Wait time in the drive thru can be anywhere from 3-15 minutes, but it is worth it. The food is quite good for fast-food and it is more affordable than any fast-food establishment. The individuals taking your order will talk extremely fast and it may seem as if they are rushing you, don't take it personal they are trying their best to keep the cars coming through. Do not expect exceptional customer service, their job is to get you your food and get you out of the drive-thru ASAP. In the long run that is what you want. I've been there at least 30 times over the past 2 years, and out of 30 times I have had my order wrong only twice. In fast-food that is considered a success for me. Sometimes your food will be hot, sometimes it will be warm, and sometimes it won't be as fresh as you would like. That's fast food, you can never expect any fast-food establishment to always provide hot and fresh at every order. I love Cook Out and probably always will. Please read completely !!!!!! Have you ever eaten at The Cookout? I have, thought it was really good. Great atmosphere, Bible verses and Christian music playing. It's nice to support a company that stands on good morals and principles. Have you ever worked for The Cookout? My soon to be husband has, for 2 years now, I admit, they've been good to him for the most part. However, I have seen so many people get fired for absolutely no reason than the dictator owner Morris Reeves walks through and decides someone should be fired that day. They have fired really good employees, for no reason other than because "Morris" decided so. I'm not being dramatic guys, I don't post drama on Facebook or social media, I have seriously seen this. They just fired a man, He has a baby on the way, and a 2 year old. He has shown up to work every day, even when his mom was on her death bed he was still at work. He had the misfortune last week of meeting Morris for the 1st time while doing all the maintenance at a new store opening. Morris asked him why something wasn't fixed and he stated he didn't know it was broken. (Communication is terrible in this company) He didn't know he was addressing the owner, he never even bothered to introduce himself. I guess he should've jumped and said sir yes sir I'll get right on that. This morning, after 2 months of being a maintenance trainee they are firing him, why? Because he's not fixing everything on the maintenance tickets. The problem is, my fiancé is his Supervisor and he has done an excellent job! He has a baby on the way, a 2 year old, and the holidays are right around the corner. This is not the 1st time this man has demanded someone be fired for no legitimate reason. He demanded a maintenance man be fired over the summer because the landscaping hadn't been done at one of the locations. Even though maintenance is not responsible for landscaping. Morris wanted someone fired. They have fired so many people, management and maintenance are treated terribly! I understand that this is just the workforce world today, but this company gives the impression that they stand on biblical morals and principles. But the owner himself has no such morals. It's a way to bring in a certain type of customer because we think we're supporting a Christian company. This is not the case. I will never give The Cookout another dime. They've fired at least 10 people in 1 year from the maintenance department alone! People who were doing their jobs! Just thought I'd add a little something else, during the Gatlinburg fires we asked The Cookout to donate burgers to the First Responders, they agreed and I called and set a time to deliver these burgers from Maryville to the Pigeon Forge Fire Dept., when we showed to pick the burgers up we were told that The Cookout decided they didn't want to be liable and decided not to donate. We had already told the First Responders we were bringing food and they were appreciatively expecting it. So we paid for 200 burgers out of our own pocket, (they wouldn't even give us a discount!) so no one would be left hungry.....Morris Reaves do you even know what the Bible verses you so faithfully print on your packaging stands for? Do you have any idea how many people who have worked for your company and have given their very best that you have possibly turned away from God and Christianity because you have shown them that Christian values and principles are not about being kind and charitable and forgiving (and it's ALL about second chances! )Yet you make my faith I take very seriously to be about the money you bring in, and how quickly you can bring in revenue. You don't even give people a chance to correct something you didn't see fit, you don't even question to find out if there is a legitimate reason, you just slam your gavel down and fire whoever. You don't care that these people have upheld your company and promoted it to everyone they've met. You don't care that they come stumbling in after 19 hour days for months because you refuse to hire more help to cover the multiple stores that you open everywhere. Instead you'll work these men until they have nothing left to give anyone else. Can't even attend church because you want what you expect done immediately, and if it's not, "someone" is going to be fired. So because these men have families to support they go, wherever you send them, they leave family get togethers, you demand things be done even on Easter Sunday! You demanded they use their own lawnmowers and drive 2 hours away once to mow lawns in a thunderstorm! They miss everything with their families working for your "family oriented" company. And when you're done with them, even though they've been loyal and dependable, you shout your commands and demand their heads.
