This place is terrible. They are rude and constantly give the wrong orders. The last two times I have been here they gave us the wrong orders and refused the give us the correct order unless we paid again. They acknowledged to us that they know we paid for and ordered 3 shakes, but didn't want to have to make a third shake. So they turned us away. I hope they close this place down or fire the manager. I love cookout because it's normally great and fast; however, there have been times where my food is still completely cold... such as here. It looks like they just threw cheese and chicken and wrapped it up. I don't mind waiting an extra minute to have warm food. read more

We don't live in GA, but are here visiting and family and we were excited to see a Cook Out as we haven't seen one in a long time. We pulled up to the drive through and took a few minutes to look over the menu, finally decided what we all wanted, and waited for someone to speak to us and take our order. No one ever spoke. We finally decided the speaker might be broken and pulled around to the window. The girl in the window looked at us like we were interrupting day by being there. We explained that we thought the speaker might be broken because no one was responding to us and she said, "I TOLD you to hold on" (we never heard a word and there were three of us listening). And we were at the speaker for a while trying to decide what we wanted. She could have at least smiled and said anything nice like, "Oh I didn't realize you didn't hear me" or something but she just looks at us like we were morons. We ended up leaving and going to Culver's (which was great and super friendly). We normally love Cook Out but won't be back to this location because of a rude employee. read more

This Cook Out is the most clutch fast food in Macon hands down in my opinion. Considering I can get a double burger out west style with cheese, 2 chicken wraps and a milkshake for under $11!? You can't get that deal anywhere. According to their nutrition facts spreadsheet, that's like 80g protein, making it an ideal treat post workout. The service is pretty consistent, they're polite and to the point. I typically go late and they get through the line fast, and it always looks like they're working hard in there. Another good thing for me is they don't have that stupid 9'0" clearance pole that my van can't go under that other drive thru's have. Typical understaffed, sticky/messy fast food restaurants. Even worst that the card reader is broke and doesn't take Apple Pay (which is extremely inconvenient). The speakers doesn't work halfway and the orders come back wrong because of it. The restrooms are gross and sticky from pee and old soap. I usually stop at Chick Fil A on my way out of town, but decided to do Cook Out for something different. It was about 5 pm on a Thursday, so it wasn't really busy. I walked in and was met with only a glare from Victoria instead of any sort of greeting. This went on for a couple minutes before she moved behind another register. I finally said "Hello" and asked if she was ready to take my order. She grunted her assent. The food was okay, but the portions were small. To be honest, I was sorry I had stopped in. I ordered a tray with an Oreo and Strawberry milkshake, i pull up to the window and the lady that was in the window gave me a strawberry oreo milkshake. Then when I bought a Oreo milkshake she did not give me change back and said "oh I'm sorry we don't have change. This was my first visit. My last too. Boy was I disappointed. I asked to get it to go and the lady said just grab a bag when your order comes out. The food was lackluster. The Coke and the Cheesecake were the best of the meal. I called the district manager DJ and he said I could come back in. could have been better. i had to repeat my order several times through the drive through. That didn't really bother me cause I'm fine with repeating myself if it helps make sure they got my order right. Everything on my receipt was correct but when I got home 2 of my main items were wrong. I had asked for a BBQ sandwich tray with coleslaw on it. what I got was a grilled chicken sandwich with slaw. and then I asked for a hotdog with ketchup and mustard they gave me one with just onions. The only perk about this place is Christian Valentine. He ensures you're taken care of. Otherwise, stay far far far away from this location.
