I always give a new place two chances. The first was horrible in every respect, and the second visit yesterday proved that the only thing worse than the food was the service. Bad attitudes, poor training, 4 onion rings, burger poorly assembled. I'm sure if someone wants to open a new restaurant, that closed building will be available soon. Problem is, the service labor pool in Valdosta seems to drag the bottom of the quality Barrell. Bring a good chain to Valdosta and watch it be the worst in the system. The total was right under $13, consisting of a double cheeseburger, a hamburger, fries x2, chicken nuggets, onion rings, and 2 drinks. This is probably the best value for the price I've ever had. I am new to Cookout as I don't really eat fast food like that. I stopped in to the location late at night because there was nothing else available. I ordered two cheese quesadillas and some Cajun fries. I don't eat meat and I just wanted something to eat before bed. Unfortunately I was sold a steak quesadilla and a chicken quesadilla which was not what I ordered. I didn't bring it back because the wait was ridiculous. Cook Out has the most special place in my heart. Where I'm from, Atlanta, Cook Out is the ultimate gathering place. It's where you can go at 2pm for lunch or 2am for an after party snack fest with friends. The food is so dang cheap, and so dang delicious! I'm really glad that there's a location in Valdosta now, and I find myself going there often. Cook Out isn't the place you go to for cheery service and politeness, but rather somewhere that you go for the cheapest and juiciest burger you've ever had in your lifetime, and should be grateful that the staff will even serve it to you. I recently ordered from this Cookout and I was disappointed. The fries were saturated in salt and cold. They tasted terrible. My cheese cup was half empty and cold. The chicken nuggets were bland and cold. And my chicken quesadilla had two tiny pieces of chicken and barely any cheese in it. I will not go back. I do not recommend this place at all. read more
