First, let me say that Cool Air Solutions will make sure their job is done right! I purchased my condo with a recently installed (10 months prior by Cool Air Solutions) Lennox iComfort 21 air conditioning system. The A/C system was a primary consideration for purchasing this condo. It has all the bells and whistles and is extremely efficient. The day I moved into my new condo, a lot water started dripping from the ceiling so I quickly turned off the A/C, got a ladder and went up into the attic only to learn my very large drip pan was over flowing! The condensation drain lines were apparently clogged so I used a hose and drained the pan myself. I called Cool Air Solutions and they sent out a tech in (2) days (it was August and over 100 degrees so they had a lot of service calls). The tech blew out the lines and told me there wasn't enough "fall" in the condensation drain lines and consequently, water would pool in the lines and bacteria would grow and clog the lines. He told me the unit should have been installed higher by hanging it, but as a quick fix, he grabbed some 2x4's that were already in my attic and put them under the unit to raise is just under 2 inches to add some fall to the lines. That worked for awhile, but there still wasn't enough "fall" in the lines and they had to keep coming out to blow out the lines to unclog them as well as re-seal the PVC pipes as they were leaking at multiple joints. They had to come out so many times for the leaky PVC pipes that the tech just gave me a can of the purple PVC cement to paint the joints to try and stop the leaks. Finally, the tech decided to re-do the PVC pipes and removed about half of them on the premise the existing configuration was too convoluted anyway and unnecessary. After (2) years, my standard install warranty expired and I commenced paying for their annual service/maintenance plan. After (2) additional years of them coming out and doing routine maintenance, I never had a tech tell me that the redo of my condensation drain lines was redone incorrectly, which disconnected my auxiliary condensation drain line so my system was relying solely on my primary. Now, at my most recent service call on June 1, the tech had to clean out the black rubber connection for the primary condensation drain line where it connects to my upstairs bathroom sink. It was completely clogged...all 2 feet of it! He had to use a wire and a hose to scrape it clean and then pour bleach in it. Then, 10 days later, I started having water drip from my upstairs ceiling again, but a different location this time. Cool Air Solutions sent out another tech that showed me where the water was coming from, which this time was from the corner of the air handler and it was dripping outside the edge of the drain pan and then told me the condensation drain lines were installed incorrectly and that there still wasn't enough fall in the lines. So this time, Cool Air Solutions finally sent out their installation supervisor, Freddy Valtierra, to inspect the entire installation. After he saw how it was installed, he told me had one of his crew done this job, he'd have fired him on the spot. Said he would speak with the owner about re-doing the entire attic portion of the installation. I then got a call a few days later from Cool Air Solutions authorizing this redo job. Well, I couldn't be happier! Freddy Valtierra and (2) associates, Aldo and Josh, arrived at 8:05 a.m. this morning and didn't leave until 3:15 p.m.! They completely re-installed everything in the attic, i.e. all new insulated ducting, new drain pan, new condensation drain lines and new plenums on each end of the air handler. They hung the entire system from the rafters like it should have been from the beginning and leveled it such that the water will now drain properly. They routed all the air ducts much better such they are clean, aligned and with less tight of turns that impede air flow. They also hauled away all the leftover metal clippings and trash left in my attic from the initial installation. It looks like a brand new system and my attic is much roomier and the quality of the installation is 10x better. Freddy and his crew did an outstanding job! On top of this, Cool Air Solutions didn't charge me a dime to make this right even though my installation warranty had expired almost (2) years ago. No company can guarantee their employees won't cut corners on jobs, which apparently happened here originally. However, a great company admits mistakes and corrects them to better serve their customers, which is exactly what happened here. They provided excellent service to make things right. That's a company I will remain with for years to come and I highly recommend Cool Air Solutions to do your next A/C installation and remember to also ask for Freddy Valtierra! read more

I am writing this review for two reasons, one to express how good this company is and the second to inform other customers about their quality of service and pricing. Let me start by saying that I couldn't be more pleased with this company. I had checked online and found their business under Rheem air conditioners as a recommended installer for their brand. I called their office and set up an appointment for them to come out and inspect my system and see about a new unit. A gentleman named Jay showed up and was completely professional all the way. I got three other bids and was told that I would need a 31/2 - 4 ton unit to replace my old unit. After Jay took all the necessary readings and measurements, (he even crawled in the attic to inspect everything) He told me that a 2 ton unit is what I needed. He showed me all of the different options and I decided to go with the Lennox top of the line unit. Jay showed me everything right up front and gave me a complete list of everything that was included in the price and the parts that would be installed. (not one hidden cost and everything was included in the cost). I had received 4 different quotes from other companies and Cool Air Solutions was the cheapest and the best service possible. The quote I received from Costco using my executive membership status was over 3 thousand dollars more than Cool Air solutions, (for the same exact system) When Cool Air Solutions came out and installed the unit, they ran all new ducting throughout the attic. This was an extra cost with the other competitors. The job was completed in one day, and was absolutely professional in every aspect. Jay mentioned that with the new unit, because it is so efficient, I should see a decrease in my electric bill. I was very skeptical that I would see a big difference in my electric bill. I waited a month and a half after the unit was installed to write this review to see if there was a difference in my bill, and to see if the unit would work flawlessly. I am very pleased to say that since I purchased my house in 2004 until now (May 2012), my bill has never been less than $ 72.00 a month, and that is for the months that I rarely use my a/c... when I received my bill after a month using the new system, (a lot more than I did with my old unit) my electric bill was $ 34.28 for the month. I can say that everything I was told by Jay and Cool Air Solutions was the honest truth. I have nothing but praises for this company! Currently, this company, has been recommended, to family, friends, medical doctor, by me. Now, it's time to let the secret out. Since getting my A/C back on line. I'm a victim of the Home Appliance insurance program. I called for service when the A/C went out. I was given a two day away appointment schedule. Having signed up with this company and medical problems, I was to get priority service. Well... I called Cool Air Solutions, spoke with Justin H., he had someone out in two hours. Thanks Justin. Tim, arrived in professional attire, diagnosed the problem in 15 minutes, gave an estimate, and said he could do the job that day. I called the appliance insurance company get authorization? I was told no. I had to wait for the two days. Just to get a diagnosis . Well... at 100 degrees outside and climbing, it was a no- brainer. Cool Air Solution, got the job. Tim also checked the heater while he was here. It was good. I was so impressed, I signed up for their maintenance program, right there on the spot, no soliciting needed. I am the original owner of this home. For the first time, I have never experienced being so cold, in the summer time. The thermostat is set at 80 and its to cold. So I don't always take time to post but when something is so perfect then I need to write a post. From the first response of a question sent over Yelp I knew after 4 quotes this one was right. The same day Justin came to my home and spent a couple hours with my wife an I. We went though what I get for when I look at the cheapest option to the most expensive. I had many quotes from Craig's list but one thing that is important is to look at what you want from your ac. I ended up replacing the whole entire system and all the duct work. My old one was 30 years old and my last 3 bills were 758 bucks. I even have brand new Windows. The house never cooked and it was alway humid. This company picked and designed the best maytag system for a fraction of what anyone else could do. The arrive is the best out there. 2 weeks from quote to install and that is because I pushed it out. They could have installed next day. 2 day install. Fast clean. Respectful! They did many extras for no extra cost. You have to let these guys give you a quote. Pay the extra money for inspections like they recommend and other don't. There is only 1 way and that is the right way. This maytag instantly brought the out side humidity from 83% to 40%. I have it 78 degrees inside and its 73 outside and I'm freezing. We are super pleased with the entire way Cool Air Solutions conducts business. It took us 6 weeks and getting 5 estimates narrowing it down to the best overall price and confidence on who would best take care of us in the long run. David Rosnick provided us with the best load calculation assessment matching our needs with an appropriate system. I attribute our choice largely to his expertise. I tend to be super detailed compared to most consumers and he kindly answered all my questions that kept cropping up the more I learned about the pitfalls of HVAC installations. I concluded it is the installer's expertise that makes a huge difference. Every brand seems to have its own pros and cons thus we went with a Maytag system (compressor, evaporator coil and furnace) that fit our budget, not as high end as Lennox, but the lifetime heat exchanger warranty on the furnace with a variable speed blower were nice incentives as well as cost. The installers did a great job under Freddie's supervision. He carefully explained everything during the installation. The cheerful pleasant manner of the ladies who man the phones also made a difference. I usually take care of business myself but I know if my partner had to do it, he would need a warm friendly voice greeting him. Little did the other companies know how much scrutiny I gave to grouchy, Indifferent or expeditious phone responses. This place has great customer service! Our unit died about a month ago and they came out the same day I called to take a look at it. Did a bunch of testing, got it up and running, but it blow out the breaker, so it was determined that the unit was dead. We knew when we bought our house 3 years ago that the AC was going to need to be replaced. Jay came out and met with my husband and I at 6 at night and stayed until all of our questions were answered, reviewed several options with us, from the bargain end to the high end. They are very knowledgeable and extremely informative about available options. They worked around our schedule and even got us in a week early due to a cancellation, which was great considering it was in the 100's that week. I definitely recommend them. Had a great experience with the installation crew as well, took only 1 day to replace the outside unit, streamline the ducting in the attic, and replace the furnace unit. Cool Air Solutions is an old fashioned company dedicated to customer service. You can expect a no pressure sales pitch, with courteous and informed recommendations. The first thing our service writer Brian Carr asked was if we wanted to repair or replace our unit. Brian stated they can do either. Next Brian surveyed the house. He checked the furnace, compressor, electrical, ducts and vents. After making his inspection of the house, Brian asked what price range we were looking at and showed us the various options. After making the decision of purchasing a unit, Brian went over payment options and set up an appointment with Nathan Walters. Nathan took the exact measurements of the house (inside and out) as well as the exact window sizes. Nathan designed a complete cooling system for OUR house taking in consideration the size and direction of the sun. We arranged a date and time for installation. Josh and Kenny arrived promptly at the arranged time and immediately started work. Both Josh and Kenny were courteous and took great care to place drop cloths down to protect the floor. When Josh and Kenny were done for the day, you were not able to see any trace of where they were working. Josh and Kenny made sure the AC was working before they left (we were also having the ducts replaced) to ensure we were comfortable overnight. Nathan Walters returned after the air conditioning installation to complete a energy upgrade California home inspection. Our 1989 Trane ac has been on the brink and she finally gave it up. Got some bids to replace compressor $2000+ figured it would not be worth fixing. Old,outdated, inefficient. So stated to get some bids to replace the entire unit, furnace and all. Every contractor suggested the same thing, replace with a entry level, builder quality 5 ton unit. Jay from Cool Air Solutions came out and was an entirely different story. He was much more thorough and knowledgeable and explained the way tonnage was figured in 1989 to cool a home was outdated and inefficient. They do a complete analysis of the home sq. footage, ducts, to come up with the proper size of the ac unit. Ended up with a 3.5 ton blows air upstairs better than the old unit. Cool Air Solutiions is 1st class all the way, from the bid, the install, and follow-up after install. Our 1989 model Trane unit was on it's way to the grave yard and finally gave it up. After getting bids to get the unit compressor fixed $2500 plus, decided it was not worth fixing. Had a few bids to replace the entire unit and all the contractors called suggested the same thing; replace with a builder-grade 5-ton unit. Cool Air Solutions was a lot different. Jay came out and gave a very thorough explanation of what we truly needed. A 5-ton unit was too much for the size of our home, and the way the tonnage was figured in 1989 for square footage was out-of-date and inefficient. Cool Air is also tied-in with SCE and others to get rebates on the equipment where the other contractors did not even make mention of such. To say the least, we are very pleased with the way Cool Air conducts their business. In May of 2017 I contacted Cool Air Solutions as well as a few other companies, based on their positive reviews, about replacing our existing 16 year old heating and air conditioning system. Most of the companies told me they needed to come out to give me an estimate. However when I called Cool Air Solutions, which by the way I was very impressed by all their 5 Star ratings, quickly had a technician call me back, I think it was Jordan, and he spent a good 30 minutes or more over the phone listening to me and asking several questions. I asked him for a quote over the phone for the Best Top of the Line system based on my needs and he gave me a price for worst case scenario. I made an appointment for a Cool Air Solutions comfort adviser to come out and look over our current system. Jay came out looked over our complete system noticed a couple of issues that could be corrected with air balance and repairing a kink in duct work. We still wanted to replace our old system with something more energy efficient with the best possible system. He recommended the Lennox XC25 air conditioning system along with the SL280V gas furnace. We agreed that's the system we wanted. Jordan was out 1 week later and installed the new system. Jordan was very professional and pleasant to work with. Our new system works fantastic with only 2 or 3 degree difference between downstairs and upstairs. Our system maintains a constant temperature, is very quiet and our energy bill has seen a significant drop. All of which was explained to us before purchasing and after installation and works as well as we were told it would. He was even able to get the owner on the phone who was more than happy to explain things to us. The staff that came in to install the furnace the ducting and the air conditioning unit was very respectful of our home and did a great job. They even helped us to get the SDG&E rebate because we were installing Windows and insulation as well. The companies that they contracted to do the windows and the insulation were very knowledgeable and respectful as well. We felt that they gave us a good price for all the work that was done and really enjoyed the friendship that was cultivated with them. We had our central AC unit go out during the recent heat wave. Had a service guy out and attempted at getting it repaired. Unfortunately it was a goner so we had 4 companies out to give us bids for a new system. The prices had a huge range in prices depending on the quality of units we were having installed. We ended up replacing our entire system, two AC units and the furnace in our attic. Cool Air Solutions prices were very competitive, they did a very good job of explaining everything they wanted to do including re-routing some duct work to make our upstairs AC work more efficiently and replacing all the registers. Some of the other quotes were a little cheaper but didn't include those things and also they couldn't be installed for a few weeks. Cool Air solutions was able to install our new system the next week. The installing team showed up on time, did a great job, keep things as clean as possible around the house and finished the installation in about a day and a half. My husband I met with 4 different air conditioning companies to supply us a proposal for (2) new air units in our home in Canyon Lake. Other companies didn't seem to put effort into selling us the project nor did they provide ample knowledge concerning our existing units / vent's vs. the proposed units. We needed to replace our 25 year old air conditoner & heater. I got several estimates. Jay gave us a very fair price, that included replacing 3 air ducts & relocating the return air in the ceiling. Matt & his crew came out right on time, installed the complete a/c & heater units, and replaced 2 more air ducts that were bad. Jay came by to see how the install was going and put in a 120 volt outlet, that I ask if he could put in. The 2 extra air ducts & the 120 outlet were put in at no extra charge! About 2 weeks later I called Jay to to tell him the master bedroom was getting hotter from the after noon sun and ask if there was anything he could do. Jay came over about 3 days later went up in the attic and said you probably need another damper, he said call the office & make an appointment. About a week later Matt came over looked things over in the attic & said that the best way to fix this is to install a bigger air duct & add two more dampeners, he didn't have all the parts on his truck, he asked me to make another appointment.
