Went to Coomber about a month ago with the wife and kiddos. Wanted to stop in and check out real quickly since we had our 3 year old and 1 year old. To our surprise they had coloring books and all sorts of kids toys to play with. Which was amazing because we were able to enjoy ourselves without rushing. Staff was very friendly. What a hidden gem! My partner and I stumbled upon this place as we were simply looking to grab a good bottle of wine. The space features a wine bar as you walk in, and a heated/somewhat enclosed patio behind the bar in a theater-style set up. We were able to grab a wine flight (I had mixed, he had reds), and catch the end of a live music set. Live music, EVERY NIGHT! The staff was so friendly, and even helped me to my table. You can order food from local restaurants, and they deliver it to right your table. My only regret is, I didn't know this place existed sooner! read more

My wife and I went on Mother's Day (moms free) great idea! This is not your average wine bar. Great tasting menu with some pricey wines at a reasonable cost. Tried Coomber on Mother's Day and was so impressed with everything about the place. I traveled from the SD bay area up to O'Side just to check this new winery out...it was worth the trip! The space is so well done, good wines (especially enjoyed the rose' and the reserve cab), and the delightful pourers (Chris and Megan) were so personable. Came here for the third time today and had been thinking about canceling a wine club membership at another winery and joining this one instead because it is so much closer than Temecula. First time we visited we had a good time. Did a wine tasting of red wines and were supposed to not pay for the tasting since we bought two bottles of wine. Noticed later we were charged for the tasting but let it go, thinking it was just a mistake. Second time we went the same thing we happened. Noticed before we left and had the charge taken off. Were having a good time with Heidi but then she just disappeared and we were left with Ian. He was not friendly with us but was with several other customers, some regulars. With my husband and me he would not interact and did not make eye contact or attempt any kind of conversation. Tonight we again did red wine tasting and had fun with Heidi. She again disappeared, maybe left for the night but without letting us know. Ian again was friendly with other people and even gave the couple next to us a complimentary glass of wine. I mentioned I would like one as well, which he totally ignored. He continued being friendly with the couples to each side of my husband and myself but actively ignored us. We bought two bottles of wine and for about 45 minutes tried to attract Ian's attention to get the bottle corked so we could leave. At 8:45 he came over to us and told us it was past last call, he could not sell any more wine. We asked for our bottle to be corked, which he did. His attitude these last two times made me not ever want to go back and I will not be joining the wine club here based solely on his behavior and lack of customer service. Heidi was always nice enough but her habit of disappearing without letting us know also made me leery of joining the wine club because if she isn't there I do not want to be stuck just dealing with Ian. I don't mind over paying for wine if I am given good customer service but this place is really not a friendly place to try new wines and have fun. read more

We sat at the bar where we got to visit with our hostess and delve into her vast knowledge of Coomber Wines. We also got to enjoy the local talent of acoustic music that was performing that evening. This is a new business, with a lot of vision. The bar was warm and comfortable, with an outdoor patio for special occasions. Wine tasting came as a flight of 6, which was specially brought to our table by a very animated and caring bartender, who joyfully recounted the history and character of the new establishment (2019). Wine "lockers" were available in house, with membership to the "wine club." They are very new, but I expect them to become popular and successful with all their plans and enthusiasm, not to mention the wine, which was very nice! read more
