The pizzas are on the smaller side--definitely shareable--but let's be honest...you may not want to. Hangar 76 has become one of my favorite places in Oceanside. Fittingly, it's housed in what used to be an airplane hangar, giving it a unique character that you won't find anywhere else. The indoor and outdoor spaces are both beautifully designed, and they've done an incredible job transforming the patio with cozy seating, including large couches that make it easy to relax and stay awhile. It's also dog-friendly, which is always a huge plus. One of my favorite things is how easy it is for groups. Everyone orders right from their phone and pays for their own meal, so there's never any awkward check-splitting at the end. They're always hosting fun events too, from line dancing and comedy nights to karaoke, so there's usually something happening. Since it's a little farther inland, parking is generally much easier than along the coast, and the prices are very reasonable. Beautiful space, great atmosphere, fun events, delicious food and wine, and easy parking--Hangar 76 is absolutely worth a visit and is one of Oceanside's hidden gems. Five stars!

She told me that the baked goods were from O'Brien's, that they have live music most weekends, and sometimes host food vendors to offer patrons their wares. We tried a chocolate croissant--crispyand delicious, a 4 after rewarming at home, banana walnut muffin--3, chocolate espresso scone--3. There's a happy hour W-F featuring 50% off bottles of wine and $2 of glasses. Check their online menu because it changes daily. Extra points, both for being a wine bar and for being the first (and only) to open shop in this little neighborhood. They don't sell food, but they often have pop-up vendors visiting, or you're welcome to bring your own munchies. Autumn, the Tasting Room Manager, is usually pouring their wines which are well made, balanced, and offer something for everyone. Their tasting menu always offers choices of slightly dryer, acidic white wines, or medium and full bodies reds. We were wine club members for a couple years and love the benefits of free tastings and 20% off their already reasonable bottle prices. They're also very flexible with the requirements of the club shipments, allowing you to skip as necessary. I highly recommend you visit this winery and experience their wines and hospitality for yourselves. TIP: You can reach out to them and set up a tasting in the back of the "cave's" private room, which will probably accommodate a group of 15-20 friends.

Valet parking is available for $10. WINE & FOOD: Vanessa poured for us and was an excellent host and wine educator. She greeted us with a complimentary pour of their 2024 Walt Rosé of Pinot Noir before delving into our wine background, experience, and explaining the various flights. She took the time to get to know us and made excellent recommendations. My wife and I shared the L'Amour de Blancs flight ($29), the Elegant Expressions flight ($59), and the Taste of Terroir flight ($99). Each flight consisted of three generous pours, and as we went through, Vanessa even poured a few extra Pinot Noirs she knew we'd enjoy. The wines are extremely well-made and quite elegant, offering a good balance of acidity, tannins, and flavors. Along with the wines, we also tried several items off their Savory Bites menu: Marinated Olives & Nuts ($10), Soppressata Croquettes ($15), Wild Mushroom Pâté & Black Truffle ($18), and the Duck Confit Crostini ($18). Everything was delicious and for those who might be unsure, the menu offers wine paring suggestions so you can't go wrong. We had an excellent, leisurely experience and enjoyed it so much, that we became members. The person helping us was friendly and social and since there was nobody else there we just chatted. The meads were decent, and nothing really stood out to me. There wasn't too much of a variety.
