I hadn't seen an eye doctor since I was required to as a child. After a variety of searches I decided to go here. The online appointment set up was very easy and it was even better that I could submit the required paperwork ahead if time. They were very clear about what insurance covered and what it didnt. I met with Dr. Colavito and she was great. I felt she was very thorough, knowledgable, and was happy to answer any questions I had. The office was very clean and staff was very friendly. For the past 8 years I have always gone to this office for my eyecare. I have seen Drs. Colavito, Jamal and Conenna and all 3 of them are wonderful doctors. My latest visit was with Dr. Colavito and I cannot praise her enough for her professionalism, the thoroughness with which she questioned me about the particular eye problem I had been having and her warm and comforting bedside manner. Dr Colavito has been my optometrist for many years now, almost ten, and she is a skilled practitioner with a personality to match. Vita Cudrin, who runs the optical boutique, has the best taste in town, with frames that you won't find anywhere else (and I've looked, believe me!). Dr Cooper is also a tech freak and this office has every single bell and whistle available to the eye examining universe. I look forward to my visits as does every member of my family. read more

Not only do they try and pawn Dr. Oz-endorsed fake treatments off on you, one doctor told me I might have Lupus or another auto-immune disease after I had a macular hemorrhage. Macular hemorrhages are not a symptom of lupus, or any other auto-immune diseases. The 2 other doctors I sought treatment with for this condition were incredibly perplexed that anyone with a medical degree would suggest such a thing. read more

I've been going here for several years, seeing Dr. Cooper. Care has been generally good, although he has punctuality issues. Today he was 30 minutes late; no one from staff came in to offer an explanation or an apology. He breezed in and proceeded to deal with my questions and concerns about my recent prescription update in a very patronizing way ("we went over this"..."I explained to you"). Even after realizing I was upset about his lateness, he didn't apologize. I found him to be very patronizing and arrogant, and not just to me but to at least 2 staff members. I won't be continuing my care with him. The office staff is very good and Vita in the optical part of the practice is wonderful, hence the mark being as high as it is. read more

Well, even though I had to wait longer than expected, it was well worth it (they were busy and accommodating for some last minute emergencies - so good to know if I'm in a pinch they seem to try to help their loyal customers out). Dr. Cooper has made it so I don't need my reading glassses anymore. He fitted me with a reasonable pair of contacts that had never been tried before and voila! I could see near and far. Totally would recommend them. And then fitting my eye glasses with the right frame tricky for me too as I have a small/narrow bridge and needed progressive lenses. Vita was fabulous. I would not trust my eyes with any other eye doctors. Recently I had an especially irritating problem and the only doctor who could tell me immediately what was wrong was Dr. Cooper. When I leave there ,after an exam ,I feel that I have gotten the best eye exam possible. There are several excellent doctors there but, Dr. Colavito is my fav. Dr. Cooper is one of the best eye doctors that I have ever been to. When I went for my appointment, I was taken in very quickly, and was tested by two of the workers. Afterwards, Dr. Cooper took me in and began to assess my situation. He was so thorough and very professional. I cannot begin to describe how happy I was when he realized my situation and helped me choose the best option for me. He spent 2 whole hours trying to assess why everything was happening the way it was. I call that patience and dedication. I, now, am so happy with what he suggested for me. I am not sure why so many people give such high ratings to Dr. Cooper. I picked him based on the reviews and figured he was going to be a great doctor. My experience was the total opposite. Cooper is not gentle with your eyes. He shoves his two fingers in your eyes and as your reflexes jerk your head back he blames you that had you not moved your head, it wouldn't hurt - no it hurts because there are two big fingers poking my eye roughly. His hands are shaky, which might account for his lack of controlling his fingers. If you do choose him, look at his hands - they shake. Cooper literally cops an attitude and justifies the pain you're feeling of his fingers in your eyes instead of apologizing for being clumsy. Aside from that I got the feeling they just want to make money. Be careful that if you go there for a free eye exam through your vision insurance, they will still ask for your medical insurance and file it under your medical insurance - so make sure to state upfront you only want what's covered by your vision insurance (e.g. free eye exam with no deductible). Maybe other doctors in the office are better but do Cooper definitely is not the quality doctor these reviews make him out to be. Worst eye doctor experience ever. read more

I actually found Dr. Cooper via Yelp and the reviews that I had read were very positive. Based on what I read I decided to make an appointment. I was able to see Dr. Cooper within 2 weeks of making my initial call to the clinic. Dr. Cooper is a great doctor whom was very friendly and professional. He found a retinal tear in my eye and immediately referred me to an excellent specialist to treat my eye (Thank you so much Dr Cooper!). I felt very confident that I was in great hands. Dr. Cooper and his staff are of the highest caliber. I have "complicated" poor vision and Dr. Cooper managed to improve my vision with both contacts and glasses. I previously spent so much money on other prescriptions that did not help and I am grateful for the time, testing and accuracy of Dr Cooper's practice and the detail oriented staff. If you do not have optical coverage, the prices are not low but I feel I have actually saved money by getting the right prescription. Dr. Jennifer Colavito is an amazing Optometrist! She's very nice, great communicator and has laser sharp knowledge in her field. Additionally she's very thorough when she checks my eyes and makes sure everything is addressed. The office staff is very nice.
