Visiting from Atlanta with my boyfriend who lived in St. Pete for years. After much hemming and hawing we decided on this place which would be a new one for us both. We sat at the bar and had excellent service from a bartender who knew the menu very well. We both had their version of a mojito--excellent but made with a wine rum so a much lighter cocktail than a classic mojito. Even though this is a smaller menu, there is enough variety with the small plates offered to satisfy everyone. Boyfriend got the scallops, I got the heirloom bruschetta, and we split the croquettes and the cops tostones. Probably should have gone with the Thai chili wings or short ribs in place of the tostones but everything we ate was unique, sizable, and tasty. We switched it up for round two and went with a glass of red wine (plenty of options) and the tiki taka (my personal favorite). This jalapeño tequila cocktail is super smooth and perfect for the reluctant tequila drinker. We finished off the meal with the chocolate torte, a sneaky rich flourless dessert that hit the spot. Can definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great intimate date night. read more

This was their 2nd night open after COVID shutdowns. They were slow in business but the staff was remarkable. Very kind, attentive, and had great recommendations. The food was delicious, came out in a timely manner. We tried 4 different plates and dessert, along with 2 different cocktails. We came to celebrate our anniversary and it was a wonderful experience. I am sure when business picks up food will take a little longer but it is worth it. read more

Has an amazing experience here for the Havana nights themed 1 year anniversary celebration. My girlfriend and I shared the shrimp device dish, tostones (amazing, must order!) and the yucca fries. Covid-19 has left many of us feeling scared and uneasy, but with Shelter At Home orders lifting and restaurants slowly reopening, I'm happy to report that the Team at Copa is prepared to make you feel not only Safe and Welcome, but right at Home. The entire staff wore masks and the restaurant is set up so that social distancing measures are followed. We were greeted with an invisible smile, but you could feel the positive & welcoming energy that our servers displayed, they were absolutely AMAZING! We started out evening with a Mojvino Cubano and Lil James & The Peach. Each cocktail was delicious and interesting. The Mujvini Cubano is like a tart yet refreshing mojito while the Lil James & The Peach is more like a savory summer lemonade that is more soft and sweet than it is bitter. Delicious! Not pictured was the Pearle Noir which was my personal favorite! Coke, Brandy, Pinot Noir, Black Currant, and Orange Curaçao, I thought it was going to be a mistake but I have never been more pleased and surprised! It was sweet but not overpowering, sultry, and smooth. Definitely going to be my go to drink next time I'm at Copa! For food we ordered Truffle Scallops, Thai Chili Wings, Spring Rolls, Ahi Tuna Tartare, and Fried Calamari. The Truffle Scallops were my favorite, they were seared to perfection and served on a perfectly toasted croustine with truffle honey arugula that melted in my mouth. Oh my goodness it was fantastic! The Thai Chili wings were a CLOSE second favorite. Large, juicy, just the right amount of sauce, the chicken fell off the bone and dissolved in your mouth. Absolutely amazing. The Spring Rolls were honestly just as delicious, but they have a spicy kick I must warn you about! It's all the in spread. The chili aioli is addictive but boy does it pack a punch! Perfect to dip in as the spring rolls were just the right amount of crunchy on the outside. I was a huge fan of the Ahi Tuna Tartare as it was served over guacamole! It was the boujee-est chips & guac I have ever had and i was LIVING for it. The Fried Calamari could have used a few more minutes in the fryer to really get some crunch to it, but it was alright. This was our first restaurant experience since Early March and I just have to give a huge thank you to the entire staff at Copa, they went above and beyond and it was our first time there! They won us over for sure! Can't wait to come back. read more

I love this place, the vibe is super grown and sexy and the food is yum in ur tum!! I love the island style vibe and when I go inside, I want to come in with a drink with a little umbrella in it!! Owned by two young gentleman who have the upmost customer friendly personalities. It is a wine bar so they do not have a hard alcohol. Ambience is very nice. Indoor outdoor seating. Reasonable prices. They do have social distancing so they are following CDC guidelines. I will probably give them four stars but I did not have any food. So I will come back and give feedback when I do. I plan on returning. Music was playing people were having a good time. Wait staff was very attentive and accommodating as I had a group of six. Great for date night. Comfy couch for a group of 6. I look forward to supporting these entrepreneurs again soon. read more

Very hip new place with wine cocktails, wines, small plates and hookah. You can either grab a chair at the bar , at a high top table, couch seating or intimate seating outside. The wait staff is very knowledgeable about the products they provide and there's a large selection of cocktails made with wine. I chose a drink infused with rosemary, it was somewhat tart but exceptionally refreshing. I we'll definitely go back and try some more of their concoctions. read more

Cute new spot in downtown St Pete! The cocktails are very light. Right now, they don't have a full liquor bar but their wine & beer cocktails are very inventive and delicious, albeit not strong. The music & lounge vibes are nice. They also have a patio where you can smoke hookah. It fills up quickly so it would be nice if you could smoke hookah inside as well. The fried ravioli, satay, scallops, salmon salad are all delicious. Overall, a very low key spot for you to spend an evening & have a few cocktails. read more

While visiting the area, went to find a Caribbean style restaurant, this place was amazing! The tacos barbcoas are the best!

This place is a grown and sexy vibe and one of the only that I know of in the area that offer this type of experience. I've been here a few times and I always pull out my phone to Shazam a couple of songs because their playlists are always on point. They get me whining in my seat. I order my little champagne and my little blueberry mint hookah and I relax the week away. The bathrooms being clean were also a big plus for me and it seems like everyone who goes here is on the same chill vibe. I also like that when I'm here I see melanated folks. Moving from a big city to St.Pete I haven't been able to find those spots so I like I can go here and feel like I'm back home. read more

A gem in St Pete! COPA's tapas are excellent, consequent, and go very well with either their great wine selection or delicious and unique cocktails crafted by the owner! Their Black Irish (espresso martini with a twist), or Mojvino Cubano (revisited mojito) are worth a try! The charcuterie board is by far the best I've had in Florida. A friend and I were in town this weekend, and made reservations for a late dinner. The reviews for COPA were very good. Great atmosphere and music. The staff was very friendly. But the waitress was not good, super super slow service. The food was not great either. The ahi tuna was plated beautifully, yet was just ok. The yuca fries were very dried out and not that good. But the Brussels sprouts were very taste. We were waiting a very long time for service. At the end of the night I finally had to go into the restaurant to ask for the check. not a good experience overall, we wouldn't go back. read more

With this being my first experience at COPA I would have to say this service and food were amazing! This trending tapas restaurant can please a variety of different palates. I started with their $6 Sangria special, the sangria which was refreshing and had a great kick to it. Our table order the small charcuterie board, our favorite was the wine cheese! That was to die for! Then we all ordered tapas at share, everyone's favorites overall were the Thai Chili Wings and the COPA Tostones, the flavor profile is so satisfying. Also the Naan Flatbread and the spring rolls with the spicy aloi sauce were delicious. Overall the atmosphere or better known as the vibe was GREAT from the decor, the drinks and the music. If you was looking for a chill spot to hang out with friends, have a few drinks and a snack along with it I would personally say this is the place to go! read more

I got their flatbread and although it tasted delicious, this was the smallest flatbread I've ever had! For the price, I think a better portion size would be fair. This restaurant has a neat atmosphere and the service was good. Drinks were fair. But I am here to warn you not to get the Seared Scallops unless you are willing to pay $22 for Nickel (maybe quarter) sized scallops. No sides were included with the meals just garnishes. It's not even a filling appetizer. I wish I would of taken a photo because the presentation was nice but ridiculous to have 5 small scallops on a black slate stone. We were with another couple, so I didn't want to complain. But I had to go get another meal at another restaurant afterwards. I have never had a poorly priced meal to that extent. Went here for brunch with my bestie and the food was immaculate! Their French toast is so flavorful and the mimosas were bottomless (yay). We ended up walking around DTSP tipsy and full. Also the staff was so nice, I think the owners served us at one point. Very humble people. 10/10 read more
