    Victorian style in beautiful mahogany

We couldn't be happier with our beautiful mahogany door from Coppa. Very nice quality wood and excellent craftsmanship, finished on time and for a reasonable price. I picked up the door at their shop in San Pedro. Nice people too. Our door is protected from direct weather by the front porch, so I finished it with Howard Sun Shield oil, which really brings out the warm glow of the mahogany. It's a great option for wood in a protected location. My experience with Coppa was perfect and I will happily order from them again.

Lovely screen door with BetterVue screen from Coppa Woodworking

We ordered 11 window screens and a screen door. I am so pleased with the quality of work. We live in a 1924 spanish style home, and these really look lovely. Adding these wood screens (their frame is about 2 inches) is a great way to bring in a 3rd color to your trim, too.

We needed a new back door for our historic 1926 Sears bungalow, and nothing we found off-the-shelf seemed right. So after some research, we found Coppa Woodworking, and when we saw that one of the door models could provide both the historic design AND a pet door, we were sold. We were immensely pleased with the efficiency and quality of the work. We hired a local handyman to install the door for us after it arrived. We then decided to solve a problem with two of our screened windows and ordered replacements from Coppa. They were perfect.

As a professional door installer with 30 plus years of experience it is very rare that u will find a perfectly square opening for a door to fit perfect. You almost always have to make adjustments by planing, mortising or cutting off part of the door, not to mention door handle issues. Screen Pro 1

Coppa built me beautiful, custom wood doors. They compliment my old house beautifully. Be patient. My estimated time to complete the order was way off, and I see others saying the same thing, but it was well worth the wait! The craftsmanship of the doors is amazing. This would be a 4-star review but for their recommended local installer, Mike. This person hacked my previously pristine door jamb. Buy the doors, find your own installer.

I'm obsessed with my new screen door. It's beautiful and no one in my neighborhood has one like mine. I was raised in Pedro, but currently live in Huntington Beach. I was afraid they would not install since I live far, but Andy was here on time, took about 3 hours. You can order whatever you wish design wise then color then stain then screen. I choose the pet screen (only $10.00 more). I have 3 indoor cats and 1 dog. One of my cats stretches on it and no marks so far. I just have the basic black hardware that came with it. Don't measure yourself, pay for the measure trip. It was expensive, 2 trips to my home and then the door itself. I also suggest paying for install. Best screen door ever! Check out my photos.

It was clear it was time for a replacement. Before choosing James, I got a quote from a very popular windows and doors company in Orange County. James, the owner of Lucero's Windows and Doors, not only offered the best price but was also extremely responsive. He mentioned that he previously worked as a Home Depot installer, which gave me confidence that he was properly trained. I was initially cautious because of the low number of reviews, but the consistent perfect scores from other customers made me optimistic. Now, after working with him, I can confidently say that Lucero's Windows and Doors is the real deal. Because our home required a custom-sized door, James came out twice to take measurements. After about two weeks, the custom entry door arrived, and he completed the installation in a single day. He told me our home was one of the oldest he's worked on, and the walls were very different from newer builds. Despite the challenges, he made everything fit perfectly, and the final result looks fantastic. We no longer feel a draft under the door, and it swings smoothly without any issues.

I made an appointment, and they completely stood me up. Later, they claimed they tried to call me or left a voicemail to change the appointment, which is not true. They never called or left any message. I have documentation as evidence, but I chose not to continue the conversation because Max kept defending himself and arguing instead of trying to resolve the issue. They also had my mailing address incorrect. I spoke with Max the day before my appointment to correct it, yet there were still multiple errors. Overall, the business seems very unorganized. The receptionist told me Max was in the office, so I was surprised when Max later claimed my appointment was with a different representative. This inconsistency felt very unprofessional and questionable. I took time out of my day for this appointment, and it is extremely rude and unprofessional that they never showed up. I do not recommend doing business with this company. There are many other businesses that provide much better customer service.

(This review includes a response to the business owner's reply)…read more I had a deeply disappointing experience with Paul's Windows, and I want to share it so that other homeowners know what to expect before working with this company. I reached out for a small bedroom window replacement and had one key requirement: that the new window, once installed, provide a minimum clear opening height of 13 inches. The sales associate, Art, confirmed via text that the manufacturer (Crystal Pacific) said it would: 13.1875", in fact. That was fine by me. But when I asked for that specification to be confirmed in the contract, in writing, Art refused. Let me be clear: I wasn't asking for a personal warranty on the product. I simply wanted confirmation that the installed window, as ordered and managed by Paul's Windows, would meet the functional requirement I had clearly communicated. Art repeatedly deflected, referring to "what the manufacturer said," but was unwilling to take responsibility for the result. When I asked for accountability, he became dismissive and eventually walked away from the job. I contacted Paul directly, hoping for a more professional response. Instead, I received a generic brush-off and a claim that the window wouldn't meet the specs, which contradicts what their own sales associate had already confirmed. Worse, Paul didn't acknowledge or engage with any of the valid concerns I raised around basic customer service, transparency, or professional responsibility. Ultimately, I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I was hiring a company to manage a job and deliver a specific result. If something went wrong, say, the manufacturer provided a window that didn't meet the spec, it would be on the contractor to resolve it, not on me to go chase down the supplier. That's what any responsible company would do. But Paul's Windows made it clear they don't see it that way. If you're okay with vague communication, contractors who won't stand behind their own work, and potentially being left to deal with problems on your own, maybe this company is fine. But if you want clarity, professionalism, and accountability in writing, then look elsewhere. § Paul's response below is a classic damage control move -- polite on the surface, but full of deflection and quiet rewriting of events. To clarify: the window in question would have met the required 13" clear opening. That wasn't in dispute. Art, their sales associate, confirmed that in writing and was fully prepared to proceed with the job -- until I asked for a simple written accountability. That's the moment everything fell apart. Paul's follow-up misrepresents the timeline and sidesteps the core issue -- not whether the window would fit, but whether the company was willing to stand behind the result they were being paid to deliver.
