I took my girlfriend there for dinner. While I had previously enjoyed breakfast there several times, this dinner experience was terrible. We ordered clams as an appetizer, and two were raw, while two were completely empty. My pork chop was raw in the middle, and my friend ordered a flatbread pizza, which turned out to be a deep-dish pizza. The manager's responses were unacceptable; he said people used to eat raw pork, and the pizza was called flatbread because the restaurant next door was a pizza place. We had the pizza and pork chop removed from the bill, but the manager should have been removed! The waitress was very apologetic, but I will not return or recommend this restaurant. read more

Staff gave me a sit were it was exposed and politely told me the section next to my seat was close, than proceeded to sit everyone else behind me. Had wanted to try dinner, but decided to do brunch. It was a great choice. The dining room is beautiful and pretty much every table has a view of the water, mountains and island. The real stand out was how friendly, helpful and efficient the entire staff was. I'd go back just for that. The brunch menu is not super extensive but has plenty to choose from. We got a breakfast burrito and the garden omelette. Both were excellent and came with really excellent home fried potatoes. We also had a mimosa and a bloody mary. Both drinks were great. Ambiance was great, super cool vibe. Food was decent, good selection, but was cooked in way too much oil and no bread/butter...food temp was very inconsistent as well. Service was good, our waitress was quite pleasant, but drinks took longer than our food even though we put that order in first. It's a new restaurant, so I think they are still working out a lot of kinks; but overall, it was a good dining experience. Food and our server were amazing- would highly recommend! However, we were asked to leave due to "a reservation for our table". For context we were seated for happy hour at 3:45, ordered apps drinks and eventually dinner. We were considering dessert when a manager came over at 5:50 and informed us that we needed to either move tables or leave as there was a reservation for our table coming at 6:00pm. There were 2 other nearly identical tables open next to us, so I am totally confused as to why this was necessary. We spent over $300 so it's not as if we were wasting table space. Our waitress seemed totally confused when we didn't order dessert and just paid the tab so clearly it wasn't her decision. Such a bummer way to spoil an otherwise wonderful evening. The interior decor is very spacious and attractive and the dining room has a great view of the waterfront. Service was prompt and helpful and responsive to our needs as we were attending with a young child. The menu selection is poor. There weren't many appealing dishes and little that excited me. My choice was "Half Roasted Chicken". I am sad I didn't take a photo of this, but it was a boneless breast (with only part of the breast meat), and boneless thigh. There was no sign of a wing or leg at all, and the potatoes (listed on the menu as fingerlings) were completely spherical and in no sense fingerling. I prefer my chicken bone-in, but also I expect a half-chicken to have at least most of half a chicken. Disappointing. The restaurant is billed as Copper and Salt (exciting to my wife who is a fancy salt enthusiast), and the room was decorated with various salts. But none of the menu items offered varied salts, and it wasn't possible to ask for a special kind of salt at the table. Not recommended for dinner. read more

The atmosphere is perfect for dates, parties, and happy hours. located right on the water, the restaurant posts views of the sound that would be amazing, especially during the summer. Sabrina, our server, was so helpful and patient with our many questions about the menu. The lamb chops were my favorite entree. They were cooked perfectly, and complemented well by the sweet potato purée and pickled jicama. I was full, but the best decision I made all night was ordering the ganache tart for dessert. It was truly heaven, definitely one of those desserts that literally melts in your mouth. My husband's favorite part was the chocolate cookie crumb crust. The restaurant is Located at the silver cloud inn and hotel. The service was exceptional from the start. The courtyard is spotless and the valet greeted us right away. The valet answered all of our questions and accommodated all of our needs. They prefer you be a guest, or dining at the restaurant to take advantage of the free valet, so keep this in mind when parking. The host (who may have been the manager) greeted me right away and again accommodated all of my requests. There are huge booths (my favorite) and the bar stools are well cushioned with backs. The location is breathtaking. Pretty much the entire bar and dining room overlooks the water, not to mention the patio with fire pits and heaters. The decor is fabulous and you can tell this place values cleanliness. I got the side Caesar, it was perfection. I didn't try the croutons but something tells me they would have been fire! They have espresso even decaf and alternative milk for the non dairy drinkers like me. My latte was perfect. I ordered the spaghetti with a meatball and it was super yummy. I wish I could have stayed to try more and I bet everything else is just as delicious. read more

After going through the hotel we already decided we will want to stay here overnight since we liked the look of the hotel so much. But that will be for another time. This time it's all about Copper and Salt. We went here for breakfast and we really enjoyed it a lot. Not only was the food was great but you get a view of the water which is always enchanting. For my breakfast I got the Pork Belly Hash. It was a very good dish! Wow! Was it salty! What do you expect with Pork Belly though? Steve's breakfast was wonderful with sausage and eggs that made up the most of it. Very flavorful! I also got a fantastic Bloody Mary and Steve got an awesome Mimosa so it was definitely a good meal with those drinks too! I'd love to try their pancakes sometime which easily makes up my decision upon our return back here for a breakfast meal. read more

For our appetizers we got the Caesar salad, pan fried oysters, and focaccia bread. My partner ended up eating the pan fried oysters and salad as his meal because the portion was pretty big! The cheese dip for the focaccia bread was so good and had a little kick to it. For my entree I ordered the bucatini alla rosa and I'm so glad I went with it! The pasta was giving lemony alfredo. Unfortunately, the chicken added to the Caesar Salad lacked any and all flavor, not even salt & pepper. While the Gnocchi was extremely rich the "Homemade" Italian sausage was at best store bought generic sausage and the gnocchi were gummy and gritty. Not to mention, how do you serve a dish like this and not even offer a piece of crusty bread for the sauce? For the prices charged, I expect more. This is the 3rd time I've been to Copper and Salt. Start with the good! Waterfront location with 20 foot tall floor to ceiling windows for great views to looking to the North. Many window tables, but even non window tables have very good views. Service OK. We did have to wait for 15 minutes despite being on time for our reservation. Staff were friendly. Staff was to our table quickly for pre-meal beverages and water. I ordered a cocktail called Dark Brew; what I received was a Lager beer. Sent it back and 10 minutes later received a dark beer, sent it back and finally received my ordered cocktail 10 minutes after our entrees were plated and on our table. It would have been good before dinner, but did not go well with my Wild Boar Pork shank. I sent it back as well. Disappointing, but mistakes happen. Not too big a deal. Pork shank was flavorful as was the accompanying polenta. Halibut was overcooked, firm, not flakey and was not terribly flavorful or memorable. Porterhouse was ordered medium-rare, but was medium well. At this point we were trying to get through the meal and not cause more delays. For the quality and execution , this steak felt overpriced. Focaccia bread was very good. Good appetizer. Sides of crispy brussel sprouts and marbled potatoes were not good at all. Both were undercooked and had an unpleasant remaining firmness/crispness that was closer to raw than cooked. We sent both back and did not replace them. I discussed with the manager and service rescue was attempted. A complimentary dessert was delivered, a chocolate tort of some type. It was dry, hard and partially frozen. While I appreciate the effort, we tried 2 bites and left the rest. I'm not usually super critical, but the cumulative errors and poor quality kind of ruined the evening and the experience. Overall, not a great experience. Would not recommend and I have no plans to make a 4th visit. read more

Unfortunately my review places this establishment pretty low on my list. While our server was friendly she missed out on some opportunities to be more prepared to meet our needs. We did have one gentleman come to our aid when we asked for enough utensils and napkins and I got up and found the straws myself when the server couldn't seem to bring one. The wait time between taking drink orders and food orders was extremely long and it honestly did not appear the place was to busy vs the available staff. I ordered strawberry pancakes- they were pretty heavy doughy pancakes and the restaurant failed to take advantage of fresh seasonal fruit instead opting for purée and syrup. My bad for not reading menu better. Just assumed a place of this caliber would do it right. My wife had some brioche French toast that was pretty dry in spite of syrup and butter. There were some highlights- bacon, shrimp and polenta, the Bloody Mary, and the wonderful outdoor view of Commencement Bay on a Summer Day. Give them a try but be cautious. read more
