4 stars for the view. The BBQ ribs and brisket is soft juicy and tender. The fries were crispy on the outside but nice and chewy inside. The corn bread was a bit dry. They may have forgotten the dressing on the coleslaw. Beer selection is good and you can get a flight of 4 different beers to taste their selection of local brews. While on vacation, one of our kids picked this restaurant to try some Canadian poutine. 1) Service was very slow. We arrived at 1:05 pm. Didn't get out until 2:45 pm. They seemed understaffed, inexperienced and/or poorly trained. 2) The regular Mac-N-Cheese was bland. Cajun Mac N Cheese was not spicy or seasoned enough to have the name Cajun associated with it. We also tried the Hot Blonde Crispy Chicken (forgettable), the Smoked Brisket Beef Dip (very average), the BBQ Ceasar Salad ($26.88!) and the Half Rack Ribs and Brisket (the toasted corn bread was different in a good way...the rest again mediocre) 3) We were seated outside on the patio on wooden picnic tables. It was cold and we asked if we could have the heaters turned on but were told that none of the gas heaters near us worked...only the ones under the awning. When it started to rain and get windy, we asked if we could move under the awning to stay dry. I watched our server talk to another server who looked our way and looked around at the many empty tables. Our server came back and said no as it was reserved (in fact nobody sat there for 45 more minutes). 4) The automatic tip of 18% was added to our party of 7 adults, even though food, service, and setting were all sub-par. read more

I'm a vegetarian so every time I suggest to eat at Copper Coil, my friends are surprised. The reason is they have an incredible no-meat burger and other tasty options for us vegetarians too and my meat-eater friends were always pleased with their burgers. The servers have been consistently friendly and attentive in the past few years when I ate here. One of my favourite places in Squamish for lunch when the weather is nice (because I can sit outside or right at the table near to the open doors, which creates a nice and open environment). read more

THE best restaurant / grill in Squamish!! A must stop! My boyfriend and I are from Vancouver and we make a point to stop and make a big night of coming in for food and drinks whenever we're in town. Marcy the owner is the sweetest, such a kind soul and she runs clearly such a fun place to work as all of the servers are just as awesome (danielle's the best and our favourite we've had every time we go). She makes a point to come over and say hi and visit as she remembers us from a few summers ago, their drinks are so well made and the food is INCREDIBLE each time highly recommend the chicken club and the BBQ caeser salad with cornbread croutons and parmesan crisps, their caeser drinks are also amazing. Overall an average establishment. One of the dishes that was awesome was the chicken wings. These are highly recommended. The jambalaya and beef brisket were pretty good and I recommend. Okay this stop of mine was was on a spur of the moment after camping and it was one of the best. I ate my food so quick I didn't even take a picture. This place is a smallish country bar with dive food and creole food. I had then signature beef deep and I would have to tell you, if you like beef deeps you'll love this. It's one of the best I ever had and it was so filling. This place has set up safety measures and plexiglass due to covid. Food: 10/10 They use thick slices of brisket instead of thin slices and it makes it so much better. The tenderness flavor of just the meat is just mwah. They pair it with a french baguette and creamy tang slaw. The service us friendly, happy and welcoming. I'm very glad I got to try this place, you won't regret it if you do. We put ourselves on the waiting lists for Copper Coil and Howe Sound Brewing and got a table here first, so we decided to take a chance and check it out. On first glance, it's not as cozy as HSB, and is decorated with sort of a frat house / youth hostel ambience. Service was decidedly not awesome. The server took a long time to take our drink orders, and a longer time to return with our drinks. When she did return with our drinks, she pulled out a couple of semi-crumpled napkins and put them on the table in a pile. The food took a pretty long time, but when it did arrive, I would actually give it 5 stars. I had a po' boy style club sandwich, and my partner had a burger. Both were carefully seasoned and had quality ingredients. My club was on a baguette, which was toasted perfectly. It was warm, crispy, soft, and there was house smoked chicken, melty gouda, garlic mayo, and grainy mustard. Seriously one of the best restaurant sandwiches I've had recently. I also appreciated how liberally seasoned the fries were. The only downside of the food: I got an entire serving of just fry "ends" - ie. none of my fries were longer than one inch. Luckily, I like small crispy fries. Overall, Copper Coil has good potential. The ambience and a general sense of carelessness brought it down from five stars (for the food) to three (the whole experience). We would give it another try. read more

Omg, I don't often give bad reviews but ......Wow!! Our server was terrible. First, it's like 30c out and we had to repeatedly ask for water. It was not bust at all. I get that we are all adjusting to the covid situation. But bad service is bad service. Top of the bad service feats, our server neglected to mention the specials which....looked, and by all reports, were amazing. We watched two adjacent tables enjot an amazing lunch while we both consumed out wholly adequate meals.. nevermind that numerous attempts to catch the server's eye were unsuccessful as we attempted to, in vain, amend our order to the spectacle of deliciousness we were witnessing at the nearby tables. It's located in this small town in Squamish..it was still pretty cold and covered in snow in the beginning of this year. But I promise, the food totally makes up for it. Time for an update since it's been a year and I just visited this place again. As I remembered, the place is really unique and cozy. The waiter was so friendly and helpful. We just had a round of drinks- beers, sangria and an alcoholic raspberry lemonade, but we all really enjoyed the drinks and felt that the price was really perfect for the large drinks we received. The food going out of the kitchen smelled so good and we were tempted to get fried pickles because they looked like perfection! But we were too full from dinner. They did a last call for the kitchen and not a minute later, two men came in looking for dinner. The waiter talked to kitchen staff and they reopened long enough to provide the guys with food. My friends and I came here after going to Whistler. I got the gumbo, which was pretty good. My friends got the ribs and they tasted alright, but were somewhat overdone. I'd say its about the same quality of what I could dish out in my own kitchen. Most of the seating in the restaurant is bar height and it has a sports bar like atmosphere. They are big Seahawks fans there and broadcasts the games so if you are coming up from Seattle or just happen to be a hawks fan that's a plus. The staff were really nice and helped us find a store to buy some of the Canadian specific drinks we ordered and wanted to buy in order to take back across the border. read more

We had to ask so many times to switch seats to inside and my brother was getting really cold... Inside the ambience is cozy and small. The food, on the other hand, was really good. The half sized jambalaya ($16.95) was slightly spicy and FULL of flavors, while the rice that comes with it was creamy and yummy. Vegetarian (wannabe Vegan) does barbecue! And she likey! The place is super new and screams good vibes. We got there at just the right time and got a prime seat on the patio, in the sun, overlooking the market and the live music (and the band was on point)! I'll start with the meat eaters meals: Chicken burger (Cajun blackened chicken breast, BBQ sauce, chipotle mayo, crisp lettuce, tomato, and onions.) with a side of curly fries. The chicken was moist and super juicy. The portion is big enough to split and the flavors are outstanding. My other friend got the Smoked Brisket (Smoked sliced brisket, kale slaw, and chipotle mayo on your choice of a hoagie bun or two buttermilk biscuits.) with a side of curly fries. The decision was made to have it on buttermilk biscuits and that was the right way to go. The fat to meat ratio was perfectly balanced and the sauce complimented the smoky flavours. I got the Hippie Heaven (House-made vegan patty topped with roasted red pepper, onions, lettuce, and guacamole.) with a side of curly fries and on GF bun. PEOPLE OF THE WORLD, this was the damn best vegan burger I've had in a long time. The bun, yes, the GF bun, actually had flavor opposed to cardboard and held together to the last bite. You could actually taste the cilantro in the guacamole. Thick slices of tomatoes (a bit under ripe) and fresh roasted pepper (I would leave that out). But the burger, fresh quinoa and herbs and thick AF. It was so flavorful and honestly so perfect. Curly fries is one of the best things in life and when I asked the server if anyone orders regular fries, the answer was a solid NO. But that hot sauce, that homemade, smoky, hot sauce was so freaking delicious! I jumped on that immediately and asked if I could buy it (which they will start to sell in the near future). I will come back every weekend if I could. This place is the best in Squamish. They have tons of beers and the service was good (although it got crazy busy). YESSSSS!! So good! read more

Offered no solution for improperly cooked stake that I could not eat. 77.83 for the 3 of us and we probably ate half the food they brought. From Darth Vader clocks to steel pipes affixed to the phenomenal tables, these champions hit a Babe Ruth size home run in my books. My party had a hungry look the moment we walked in the door, the kind you get from not eating for a while. We were greeted like high school friends upon arrival, and they didn't even know we were with a local celebrity! Quickly, we felt right at home. We started with the party platter and some deep fried pickles, and boy-howdy did this get the party started! From succulent chicken wings to sensual popcorn shrimp, the oral sensation was real, I felt as if I had been wine & dined by Brad Pitt himself! The party didn't stop here though, we've grown up and learned how to pace ourselves into legendary status. Bison burgers for the "taste buds", and a hearty jambalaya for the girl which would have Bubba Gump preaching to Forrest himself. These absolutely rocked the party, they glistened upon arrival like a nose hair after a sneeze.
