Live in the area and have had some great experiences here. This one wasn't terrible but on Monday night the service felt very very rushed. The server cleared and boxed up some entrees while the rest of the table was still half way through the meal. The hostesses were also walking around and constantly checking on tables to see if they had received dinner, dessert or the check. They put in no effort to make it discrete, writing on a notepad while staring down the table and enough to even hear conversation about it whether or not our table had received a check. Again, we love this place enough to return, but an effort to not make the dinner feel simply like a waiting game is always appreciated. read more

Very disappointed in this pricey BEDFORD new restaurant. Too much for what we got. My wife's dinner (flounder) was raw inside. Sent it back. They brought a small house salad, to give her something to eat while we ate our entrees. Not going back. Let the elder care locals rattle their jewelry. I'll eat elsewhere. read more

After moving to the area about 6 months ago, the Cooper Door became our first choice and local hangout. If you are looking for atmosphere, comfort food and great service, this is your place. A staple of delicious menu choices as well as weekly specials and a weekly cupcake special that is to die for. We continue to keep coming back and are never disappointed. During the summer, the patio is a great spot for a romantic dinner. I would recommend making a reservation if you are looking for dinner as it always seems busy. read more

What's worse, is that this establishment which is a little more than the emperors new clothes, draws just enough people to be overwhelmed by a waitstaff with very little idea of how to manage a rush. So, when I go to the Door with my friend we get excellent service and the food is wonderful and they make a terrific lemon drop martini BUT when I go with my husband the food is mediocre but the service is still good. He has had two medium rare burgers that were not and some southern fried chicken at lunch that we were pretty sure was just reheated I had the crab stack that was just a little blob of crab on a piece of lettuce and usually it's great, about 4" high and served in a metal cylinder which is removed upon serving, impressive. My husband won't complain and says there are too many other good restaurants to choose from and with the Door prices the food should be just about perfect. It's kinda sad. I do agree that they should be consistently good for the prices. I did contact Copper Door/Raquel and she was very thoughtful, not an easy position in any restaurant business read more

Stopped here with a quick lunch with my wife. She had the vegetarian Tacos and I had the Haddock ones, both were great in size and flavor. Service and ambiance is also on point the only reason I don't give this place 5 stars is because the chairs are too short for the tables they have, I'm 5'11" and sitting, the plate of food was almost in my collarbone no exaggeration. copper Door was a total disappointment. 2 steaks were so Bad that they rolled around on the plates when cut. Hard and chewy steaks. We received 3 new steaks and got the same crap. I've had mostly positive experiences here. The food is good and at somewhat inspired, at least compared to the dishes offered at the other restaurants owned by Great NH Restaurants. The desserts though... sometimes less is more. We were not impressed by the birthday cake creme brulee (yuck!) and the bananas foster with a big hunk of banana bread- it was way too sweet and the banana bread was just bizarre. I understand the attempt at creativity and originality but... sometimes it's best to not try to fix something that wasn't broken in the first place. As far as entrees go, I can't say I've had a bad meal there and the service had been consistently good. I'd definitely go again but I'd skip dessert- it's not their strong suit. read more

Only because they got a bustling high energy bar w/lively locals, got live music, with impressive high ceilings . Food is unmemorable, however, I do like the "Farm to Table"...& that entry way copper door is really not all that impressive..I'm there for the food not the door. VERY disappointed today. We decided to go the apps & taco route, so we ordered the fish tacos, which were ok, but cold- the short rib tacos, which were gross and had a bitter taste. We also ordered the tenderloin sliders, which again, were cold and certainly NOT worth the $17 that was charged for them! Lastly, we tried the chicken and waffles app. BLAND. Portion was bite-sized, instead of the 3 or 4 bite-sized I experienced early February of this year. The only thing that was tried, tested, and true were the fries that came with the sliders. We did let our waitress know that the food was mediocre, and the manager came over to apologize. She did give us a gift certificate to come back and comped our food, but we were still shocked at the quality! read more

Dinner is wonderful for a special occasion. It's worth the splurge. We went for Valentine's day and it was the best filet mignon I've ever had, it melted in my mouth like butter. The creme brullee and salad we got were wonderful too. We went a second time for lunch and I had a flatbread I really didn't enjoy because all I could taste was the siracha on it. So that loses a star. Save up, go for dinner to celebrate, it's worth it. read more

June 2017. Came here to meet my mom after work around 3:00. Never been and was a great meeting spot to catch up and have some upscale food. Started off with proseco and my mom had a martini. Wish I could have had one since the sounded so delicious but I had to drive so kept With something on the lighter side. The bread is amazing! I've heard friends rave about the bread and they were right! Nice, warm, herb filled bread. We then shared the scampi mussels and tuna appetizer. Both were very tasty and would get again! We shared the lobster seasonal pasta which was as good as it sounds. Mm mmm ''tis the season for lobster. My mom had a second drink of white wine which she loved. We ended our stay with the seasonal dessert which was the baked Alaskan. Never had one and was very pleased. Would order everything again. Fabulous meal and service. Definitely a keeper! read more

My husband and I enjoy the Copper Door in Bedford and are frequent flyers! Our bartender C J was incredible the other night. He was extremely attentive accommodating, and professional with a great personality. Drinks were fantastic . Here's the weird thing: they have a two martini limit. Their drinks are amazing, and yes they're strong, but if you're sitting there for three hours and eating dinner the two martini limit seems really strange to me. They police the bar so you can't order two at your table and then go order one at the bar. Food was amazing, the woman serving us had the BEST personality. Yeah, it's expensive if you order their entrees, but you can get out of here for $20/head if you order something like pizza or a burger. I had the rib eye ($40 I believe) and it was fantastic. They had live music on Thursday and the guy was awesome. I'll probably go back, but I hope they ditch the two drink limit! read more

Went in for a few drinks, decided to order dinner. Service was slow but these days, always to be expected with "not enough help." Waitress seemed uninterested. Ordered the $42 filet and was very disappointed in two things. The amount of filet was not what you should get paying $42. 4 very thin slices! I believe if I stacked them together it would have been half the size of a true filet. Also the steak was cold and the Garlic mashed were a few spoonfuls but tasty! Portions were disappointing for a well established restaurant. I'll go back to give it another try but I won't be getting the filet! I'll stick to their pizza and other apps. read more

Copper Door j'adore! We've visited several times now and enjoyed every visit. The monkey bread, fish tacos and hummus plate were my favorites. Also very impressed with the kids menu which means a lot to us. Could use more vegetarian options but that's pretty standard. We had one issue, but it was addressed quickly and professionally.
