Copper Monkey is a little dive bar just off Bourbon St. our group made a pitstop here to grab a quick bite before continuing on with our day. Things to note- 1) there's not enough table space for any groups bigger than 5 people so keep that in mind if you're in a larger group. 2) I found the food to be so so. The crawfish in the étouffé was very tough and the dish was very spicy. The shrimp creole was decent. I'd probably go back for a drink but would maybe skip the food :(

New Orleans does it right and this spot is the perfect example! I ended up coming here twice on my trip because it was that good. The first night was amazing. Service was on point, everything came out hot and super flavorful honestly... I already miss it. I ordered the jambalaya (absolute heaven), the crawfish poppers, and the crab-stuffed mushrooms. I didn't even think I liked crab, but those mushrooms proved me so wrong - they were packed with flavor. And the crawfish poppers? Crispy and dangerously addicting. Easily my fave. My friend went bold and ordered the peanut butter burger, and I'm so glad she did because WOW. I took two bites and immediately wanted to order one for myself. They are not stingy with the meat at all! the patty was thick and juicy and it was loaded with peanut butter. Sounds wild, but it was such a perfect, savory-sweet combo. The second time I came back just for the monkey buns, a little sweet treat I refused to leave without trying. They were definitely flavorful and packed with banana goodness and dusted with powdered sugar. Literal perfection. Only downside: we took it to go, and the bartender kinda forgot about my order for a bit, so that was the only bummer. The inside has a super chill vibe. There are games, good music, and if you're a smoker (I'm not lol), they even sell cigarettes in a vending machine. Overall, this place is a whole vibe with amazing food, fun energy, and totally worth coming back for. I'd go a third time if I could!

Cute little bar off Bourbon Street with an outside patio. There's a lot on the food menu, but a select few items for dairy intolerance & not fried. I ordered the shrimp Etouffee with white rice that has a LOT of heat, but I enjoyed the flavor. The shrimp are small, but not tiny & I would've preferred deveined. Our waitress was nice, helpful & fast to serve us.

The bartender was super helpful and friendly with our meal order. Has a great vibe. Just arrived in town, was hungry, and this place just said try me! Had the jambalaya and the flavor is great!

A local bartender recommended this place to us for beignets. We came here for takeout one night after drinking on Bourbon street. My boyfriend got a blackened shrimp poboy and my liquid courage had me ordering something I wouldn't normally order- a peanut butter burger. We also got mozzarella sticks. We failed at getting the beignets. The staff here are so friendly. Especially the doorman. But really they're all great. We appreciated the good customer service and friendly demeanor. Inside is small but typical bar environment. We got our food to go and ate at our hotel. The mozzarella sticks were really good and the marinara was delish!! The peanut butter burger was surprisingly good. My boyfriend liked his shrimp poboy, although it wasn't the best he's had in NOLA. We went back the following day and got more mozzarella sticks and the beignets. The beignets were good. I have nothing to compare them to, but we did enjoy them overall. We will definitely return to the copper monkey!

We needed food stat from a day of drinking and this did the job!!! Service was good, pretty quick considering. Food wasn't mind blowing, but that's ok.

Traveling in from Nebraska for the weekend and staying in the french quarter. It's giving hole-in-the-wall and it wasn't that busy (yet)...i'm talking the door guy was reading a book. Which I liked, because once the streets are blocked off there's a line. So if you don't know better, go early. We all had a drink and the bartender was friendly. The food wasn't as good as you would expect for a local spot. Someone walking outside kept saying "get the Whitney special"...which I don't know who whitney is, but I got it. We also had wings, red beans and rice and Étouffée... I'm not sure how I feel about the food. I mean it was okay, but you could taste that it wasn't fresh ingredients. Think soup in a bag...the whitney was just okay. The potato was powdered mash, and the cheese was abundant and if I had know that was the amount, I would have asked them to go easy on the cheese. The chicken was good though...tender and flavorful. This dish has potential...if I was cooking this at home, I would mash fresh potatoes, used freshly shredded cheese. The wings and fries were good and surprisingly everything was priced decent considering we were in a tourist area. Would I go back, yes, but not for the food. It would be the drinks and the friendly service.

Super good food, reasonable prices, and great service as well. We ordered a quesadilla, Turkey club, crab cakes, and a shrimp po boy. Everyone liked their food. Would definitely go back!

Piped down a bad bitch in the bathroom after doing a rail off her ass! Got a couple of beers and a burger and went about my business. Bathrooms could be a bit cleaner!
