Even though it's not a large space, it is planned out well with a very efficient use of the space. The attendants were helpful in choosing our drink orders. They have a nice sized menu. I will have to go back and try some of the other drink and food options. This is probably against the norm, but I'm not the biggest fan of drive-thru coffee. While I understand the ease and convenience, I miss the days when the coffee shop was special. For the average morning "Omg, I need this to function!" cup of joe, I prefer to brew at home. I remember when a certain green fish-lady started to spread her java across the country and local coffee shops were popping up around the city. You didn't stop by to grab a quick cup to go. You went to the coffee shop FOR the coffee shop. It was an event. Sometimes, literally. Shops would host live music, poetry readings, and other community activities. (Gosh, I really love being a Gen-X'er and living during those cultural times!) There is something special about spending quality time with a good friend. Meeting with my friend was good for my soul. Whether it's an old friend you've known your entire life, or a new friend you didn't expect to connect with so well, a hot cup of coffee (or a nice, dry red wine) can help facilitate these soul nourishing conversations.

Anyway, I visited Tinker Coffee to get a hot tea. They have green jasmine tea, which is one of my favorite green teas because it tastes naturally sweet. No sweetener needed! Tinker also have Earl Grey, English Breakfast, Chamomile and Lavender Mint tea. I guess they also have coffee! I didn't get any this time, but I always like Tinker Coffee every time I get it. They did a collab with Jason and Chris of the How Long Gone podcast a few years ago, which has endeared me to them even more. Worlds colliding, and all that. I didn't see too much in the way of things to eat here. This Tinker Coffee location is strictly beverages. In addition, they have an assortment of breakfast sandwiches. We didn't try the breakfast sandwiches, but they looked good on the menu and in the past We just got regular coffee and lattes. They were very good. The service was just OK. Our coffee was delivered promptly, but the server was not overly friendly. We ask for a refill on the plain drip coffee. We were told it would be two dollars for a refill. We ask for the latte to be reheated since we had sat there for sometime during our meeting. We were told they do not have a microwave. There are a lot of repeat loyal customers since this place markets themselves for business meetings. They may want to consider changing their model for their repeat customers. Perhaps by using their rewards program to recognize customers by offering a less expensive, or even free, refill on plain coffee. This will make them more competitive with other coffee shops. It will also encourage the meeting environment that they are trying to establish. We will return again for a business meeting. We are hoping they become more customer focused for their repeat visitors.
